Chapter 57 #2

I glance at her, and she’s looking at our hands. Is she hurt because the guys are looking into her?

“I know.” I squeeze her hand. “It’s just been a lot with the guys and everything that’s happening.”

Her smile is sad. “Yeah, it’s a bunch of shit. I miss my best friend. I kind of liked the days when it was just you and me.”

I shake my head and smirk. “You mean, you and me and Brandon. You’ve been a little wrapped up in your love life too.”

She grins, and her blue eyes light up when she turns to me. “True, but it’s different. We’re not as shiny and new as you and the guys. Though we’ve been figuring out different stuff to do now.” She wiggles her eyebrows suggestively. “You’ve inspired some of that.”

“Don’t blame me for your good times.” I laugh.

She smirks and wiggles her eyebrows. “Girl, I’m thinking what you have is perfect. I can’t imagine not having to wait or work to get things going again after he’s had his.”

I snort laugh. “That’s not exactly something to be jealous about. You’re one or two and done. I still have four more guys to go. Possibly one to three more times. It’s a little exhausting.”

“Happy exhaustion though.” She bumps her shoulder against mine.

I try to hold back the smile, but it still comes through. Very satisfying exhaustion.

“I miss hanging out with you.” She squeezes my hand. “I had fun at the party with you. We need to do that more. Brandon doesn’t want to dance, and it was great just hanging out and talking.”

I lean my head back against the locker. “It was fun. I’m sure there’ll be a party Saturday night to go to.”

“Or your guys will throw one.” She smirks and looks off down the hallway. The expression slides off her face. “You don’t think anyone will try to get to you here, do you?”

Blowing out a breath, I glance at the doors to the locker room. “I don’t know. We aren’t sure who is after me. We don’t even know why some of the people who are after me are after me. They want to get back at the horsemen, but for what?”

“They’ve done a lot of stuff to a lot of people.

They probably don’t even realize all the people they affect when they do things.

” Kenz rolls her head to meet my eyes. “It’s not like they do things out of the goodness of their hearts.

All those girls they’ve fucked just to let them go.

That couldn’t have been a hardship for them, but what about the girls? ”

“Apparently everyone thinks they’re fair game. Some football player asked the guys if they were done with me and if they could have a go.” I shake my head. Like I would just happily bounce to whoever was next.

Kenz squeezes my arm. “Maybe that’s it. Maybe some girl got used by them, and then the others that came afterwards used her more. She blames them for what happened to her after they fucked her.”

“Maybe.” I squirm. “That means we’d have to look at their list of women.”

I really don’t want to do that. It’s bad enough knowing the four of them are in the double digits. And knowing that Sidney, Hannah, Ashley, and Emma are all part of those numbers.

“I bet it’s in the hundreds.” Kenz sounds happy.

The doors swing open, and footsteps reach us as the players pour out of the locker room. Most of them don’t even look down to see us as we tuck our feet out of their way.

Caden stops in front of me and holds his free hand down to me. His other hand has his helmet. “Up, little nympho.”

I take his hand and he lifts me. Brandon stops and helps Kenz up. He looks between us and then at Caden.

“Jack said you needed someone to watch out for Harper at Crusty’s Pizzeria tonight.”

Caden smirks. “Guess not.”

“Matt’s going to be pissed at me.” Brandon runs his hand through his hair.

Caden claps him on the shoulder. “Matt will get over it. Let’s go.”

Kenz walks with Brandon while I fall back with Caden. I go over the conversation in my head. The only reasonable explanation is that they’re going after the mole. The misinformation campaign.

“So it’s happening tonight?” I ask softly, referring to the outing of the mole.

Caden glances at everyone ahead of us, before he smirks down at me. “You shouldn’t have fallen asleep during our discussion last night.”

“I’m just one person, Caden.” I blink up at him. “Sometimes I’m going to need a nap after getting railed in the ass by four guys.”

He grins and tucks my hair behind my ear. “You did take me so fucking well.”

I blush.

“I’m going to enjoy fucking you tonight, little nympho.” The noise coming from the stadium is almost deafening as we approach. He leans in close to my ear. “Even after you pass out, I’m going to enjoy that pussy and ass.”

A shiver of awareness races through me. He kisses me beside my ear and runs to catch up with the others already doing warm-ups. Luke steps back to send a spiral flying to Eli.

I’ve never been on the field before. Kenz shakes my arm.

“This is so fucking exciting!” she yells in my ear.

“Davidson!” Coach Turner calls out. I hurry over to him, and he hands me a clipboard. “If you’ve got questions, you only ask me. No talking with your boyfriends during the game. Got it?”

I nod and look over the clipboard. “Yes, Coach.”

“Good.” He seems like he wants to say more, but then he calls over Kenz and talks with her.

The Cheermonsters glare at me from their spot on the track. I ignore them and look up into the stands. My brow furrows when I can’t find Penny, Nat, Izzy, or Vicky.

Kenz comes to stand next to me. “Man, if looks could kill, Sidney would have you buried by now.”

“Do you know where Penny, Nat, Izzy, and Vicky are?”

Kenz looks in the visitor’s section for them but shakes her head. “I don’t see them. That’s weird. They were so excited to come to the game in art class. Nat wouldn’t shut up about it.”

That is weird. I glance at the guys warming up and catch Luke’s gaze before he throws. He stops, holding the football between his hands, and gives me a questioning look. I’m not supposed to be a distraction though, so I smile softly and he gives me a smirk before letting the ball fly.

The girls can wait until after the game.
