Chapter 31
Sera
Suddenly, they were there.
Four of my wolves, filling the room with heat and movement, with the sound of claws on concrete and the scent of damp fur that cut through the antiseptic sting in the air.
Declan’s eyes found mine first, molten and hungry, the kind of look that would have made my knees give way if I hadn’t already been bound onto this damn X-frame. In an instant, his hands went to my restraints like the metal was an insult to be destroyed.
Logan was next, always steady, assessing even in the chaos.
His gaze swept me head to toe, checking for wounds, for damage, for whatever the hell they’d done to me.
His jaw clenched with rage as he took in my bound, naked body, realizing someone had taken the privilege that belonged only to them.
Then his eyes caught mine, and something I couldn’t name joined the fury blazing there.
Edward moved like the soldier he was, every step purposeful, his gaze sweeping the corners, but his nostrils flared when he got a breath of me. His composure held, but I could see the tension in his shoulders, the way his focus kept snapping back to me. He was close to losing control too.
Aidan was a storm barely leashed, eyes bright, teeth bared at the walls as if he could tear the whole base apart with his hands. He stayed close enough to Declan and close enough to me that I could feel the heat of him even through the air.
And Jamie… Where was he?
My chest tightened. He wasn’t here. Had the Watch caught him? Was he even alive? Had the pack been that angry with him that they’d cast him out? The thought was a cold spike through the heat already flooding my body.
God help me, the heat.
It had been building since Dane stuck me with that needle, a slow burn that crept through my veins and coiled low in my belly until every breath felt too deep, every heartbeat too loud.
I could smell them—all of them—so keenly it made my head swim.
Salt and leather and steel, fur and earth and rain.
Their scents tangled with mine, amplified everything, made it hard to think about anything except them coming closer.
Trap, I reminded myself. This is a trap, but it was getting harder to hold onto the thought. Dane’s voice echoed in my head.
Your wolves will come for you. The Elder Lycan will come too.
And here they were, just like he’d predicted, and I could barely hold together the plan I’d been rehearsing in my head. Words. I needed my words.
Declan’s hands were at my wrists, claws scraping metal, and I wanted to tell him to stop, to think, to look around, but my mouth wouldn’t shape the words. Not when he was this close, not when I could feel his breath against my skin. I couldn’t fucking think!
I wanted to tell them all to run. I wanted to tell them I could handle this. I wanted—fuck, I didn’t even know anymore. The serum in my blood pulled me in four different directions at once, each one with a face, a scent, a history, and a claim on me.
And underneath it all was the cold certainty that Dane was going to win. I was already too far gone to see the edges of the trap clearly.
The air was thick with my scent now, the syrup-sweet burn of my arousal spilling out into the sterile room.
I could see what it was doing to them. Logan’s fists flexed at his sides like he was holding himself back by sheer will.
Edward’s jaw ticked and he was hissing in breaths through his teeth, forcing himself to watch the room instead of me.
Aidan’s breathing had gone heavier, slower, as if every inhale pulled him deeper under.
But it was Declan who cracked first.
His eyes locked on mine, molten gold swallowing the last traces of reason. The look in them made my pulse trip. Hungry, reckless, obsessed. The space between us shrank in three sure steps until the heat of him was pressed into me, his scent flooding my senses.
“Declan,” I meant to warn him, to remind him of where we were, what this was, but my voice came out softer, and far breathier than I intended. “It’s a trap,” I finally managed.
His hands framed my face, callused palms hot against my skin. “Don’t care,” he rasped, and then his mouth was on mine.
My body arched helplessly against the restraints, the frame biting into my back.
The taste of him rolled through me, tangling with the fire already in my veins until I forgot about Dane, the Watch, the trap, until I forgot about everything except the press of him, the sound of his low growl rumbling against my chest.
Behind him, I caught the flicker of movement, Logan shifting his stance, breathing heavily. Aidan’s nostrils flared like he was two heartbeats from tearing down the whole cliff. Edward’s eyes were dark, unreadable, but his knuckles were white at his sides.
The serum’s haze blurred the edges of the room, but one thought cut through all the rest: they were all losing control.
“Sera.” Declan’s voice was rough, gravelly, and when he lifted his head, I saw the gleam of his teeth.
I was already straining against the bonds, the bite of the metal only stoking the fire under my skin. The rest of the world had fallen away, narrowed down to the five of us, to the way my heartbeat echoed in my head, to the scent of them in my lungs and the pull of my own body to theirs.
I didn’t know if the others moved first, or if Declan did, but the four of them closed in on me.
Hands touched my skin, traced my jaw, curled around my throat.
Someone’s hands slid up my spine. Someone else’s palm wound around my hip, tugging me closer, and I could feel the hard length of a cock pressed tight against me.
Declan shifted closer, and I caught the gleam of his eyes in the half-light. He lifted his chin, and the other three moved in tighter, their scents winding through my head until my muscles went weak.
Aidan’s hand slipped down the line of my throat, grazing across my collarbone and then further down still until his fingers glanced against my mound. He leaned in close, breath hot against the shell of my ear.
“You smell so ready,” he said, and the low rasp of his voice sent a tremor through me. “So warm. So good.” His fingertips brushed the slick between my legs, and my breath hitched. “You want this?” he asked, and the words sounded like a promise and a threat in equal measure.
“Yes,” I breathed, because it was true. Because every second that went by made the word matter more.
Logan moved closer, his body pressing in against mine, and I knew he was just as hard, just as hungry. He traced the curve of my ear with his thumb. “Tell us to leave.”
I shook my head. “No.” I didn’t want to tell them that. Not now. Not when the heat of their bodies was already burning through the last of my reason.
Edward leaned closer, his mouth brushing the tender skin below my jaw. “Tell us what you need,” he said, and there was an edge to his voice that made my heart pound that much faster.
I couldn’t answer. We needed to get out of here, but I couldn’t find the words, and even if I could, my brain wouldn’t have been able to shape them. Instead, I struggled against my bonds to reach for him, for all of them, and they closed in around me in a rush.
I couldn’t tell where one touch ended and the next began. Fingers traced the line of my hips, the curve of my breast, the taut stretch of my thighs. Declan’s mouth was hot and insistent, teeth nipping at my lower lip while Aidan’s hands slid up my arms to the metal restraints.
I was bound, exposed, heat flooding my body while four sets of eyes and hands raked over me. It was hard to breathe. Hard to focus with all of them looking at me like that, like I was prey they’d cornered.
Logan’s thumb grazed my lower lip. “I can’t decide if I want to kiss you, fuck you, or spank you first,” he growled, his voice like rocks. He tilted his head, his eyes narrowing.
My cheeks flushed, my heart hammering. I could see the hard line of him, and god, I wanted that. I wanted all of them. My body ached with it, and when I spoke, my voice came out low and thick with need. “What’s stopping you?”
Declan was first, stepping between my spread legs. I could feel the heat of him burning my skin wherever we touched. His hands slid down my spine, pulling me off the damned X as much as he could until I was pressed tight against the length of him.
His tongue flicked against my lips, teasing and insistent. I opened for him, and he tasted like rain, clean and sweet, heady and addictive. The soft purr in his chest rolled through me. The rest of the room faded into the background.
His hands were on my hips, and I could feel the hard length of him pressed against me. I wanted him inside me, filling me up, driving away everything but this.
I didn’t have to wait long.
He drove into me, and my back bowed with the bliss of it, my desperate pussy clenching around him. He was big and thick, and fuck, it felt so good. So right. His hips snapped forward, and I gritted my teeth, holding on as he pounded into me.
His cock was hitting me just right, and I was lost in it, in the feel of him, in the smell of his skin, in the sound of his breath in my ear. My body was on fire, and I didn’t know if I could take this, but I knew I didn’t have a choice. I needed it.
He was fucking me hard and fast, and I was so close, so close to orgasm. I couldn’t hold back. I couldn’t stop.
I was going to come.
He drove in deep, his cock hitting that spot that made me see stars, and I came with a shuddering cry, my body shaking, my heart pounding, my mind blank. Ruthless ecstasy poured over me, hot like a summer rain on sunbaked stone, and I writhed in my bonds, utterly losing myself in the pleasure.
My orgasm didn’t end there.
He kept going, kept driving into me, and I was lost in it, in him, in them. I was theirs, and they were mine, and this was right, this was perfect, this was everything I wanted, everything I needed.
