Chapter 9 #2
“Do not wash my dishes,” Jiselle snapped.
“You cooked, so we do dishes, Jiselle,” I said simply.
“That’s law,” Stone cosigned.
She rolled her eyes. “Whatever.”
“Thank you.” I smiled at her.
“Well I’m getting in bed.” She stretched. “The two of you can do whatever you want and make sure my door is locked if y’all sneak out.”
“Who the fuck is sneaking out, baby girl?” Stone looked at her crazy. “Yeah. Go ahead and take yo’ ass to bed because you tripping.”
“Yeah, yeah.” She kicked his butt lightly then tiptoed to kiss his cheek.
He grabbed her waist immediately and jerked her in.
“Don’t even fucking play like that. Kiss daddy right.” He gripped her ass and the fucking smile that crossed Selle’s face had me thinking maybe I couldn’t do this sharing shit after all.
They kissed briefly then she turned to face me. She threw her arms around my neck.
“I don’t show favoritism.”
I chuckled.
“You sure about that?”
“Mhm.” She kissed me and I ran my hands up and down the center of her back. “You feeling neglected, baby?”
My dick was getting hard. When she talked to me like that, it did something to me. Fuck.
“Nah. Just making sure you know I care.”
“Noted.” She tiptoed and kissed me again.
Then she let me go and headed into her bedroom.
Stone and I worked on cleaning the kitchen. I took up the dishes while he put away the leftovers then wiped down the stove, counter, and kitchen island. By the time he finished, I was done washing the dishes.
He grabbed a towel and started drying.
“If Jiselle chooses to be with me, are you going to let her go?” I asked.
“Nah,” he admitted. “I’d be her side nigga before I let you run off and get your happily ever after with my woman.”
“Alright.” I grabbed a towel and dried dishes too.
“What about you?”
“Nope.”
Stone nodded.
“Then I guess we better get used to each other then.”
“I guess so,” I deadpanned.
We finished the dishes then headed back to the bedroom.
Jiselle was already knocked out, lying on her side with one of her hands tucked beneath her face. She looked beautiful.
“You can have her this time.” Stone nudged his head toward the opposite side of the bed and I hopped in.
Stone walked over and ran his hand along Jiselle’s side until she blinked herself awake.
“Roll over to Kiano, baby.”
She didn’t even say anything. She rolled right into me.
She slid closer, draped a leg over mine, and snuggled her head against my chest. Stone hit the lights then climbed in behind her.
He kissed the side of her head before settling in.
He tried to set a hand on her waist but it landed on my hand and drifted down.
I let him wrap his arm around her and grip her leg.
Honestly, even with the three of us smashed into Selle’s little bed, my entire body relaxed and I was fast asleep in seconds.
When I woke up, I immediately knew I was late but didn’t care all that much because my face was buried into the top of Selle’s head and she was sound asleep. I lay awake and held her for a little longer. Then I kissed the side of her head softly and climbed up.
I felt my way out of the room to the kitchen.
I dug through a few cabinets and drawers until I had everything I needed to put on a pot of coffee and stood in the dark while it brewed.
Once it finished, I poured three mugs and added a shit ton of cream and sugar to one. Jiselle liked her coffee syrup-like.
“What are you doing?” Stone asked.
I looked over as he entered the kitchen, wiping one of his eyes and yawning.
“Making coffee.” I gestured to the mugs. “How do you like it?”
“I’ll hook it up.”
“Alright.”
He walked over and took the mug. “Thanks.”
“Welcome.”
I grabbed my mug, had my first slow sip, and nodded in appreciation. Coffee would carry me through the rest of my day.
“Should we wake Jiselle?” I asked.
“Hell fucking no. There’s a reason she told us to just lock the door when we left.”
“That makes sense.” I nodded.
We stood in the kitchen in silence while we drank coffee together. Afterwards, I set the coffee I’d made for Jiselle in her fridge and we quietly slid our clothes on, locked the door behind us, and headed out.
I went straight home to put on clothing suitable for the office then headed there. Thankfully I didn’t have anything scheduled too early so I was able to catch up on emails and a bit of work before my first video call.
After the meeting ended, I found myself digging deeper into Stone.
I found the mechanic shop where he worked and his high school information.
He’d been one hell of a football player from his freshman year until he quit.
He made good grades, dated a few women, got ticketed with weed.
Nothing unusual. I dove deeper into his father then his siblings, and by the time I was satisfied with what I’d read, most of the day was gone.
I’d fallen into wanting to know everything about him.
We had very different upbringings, so it made sense that he was a little rough around the edges but I liked that.
For a brief, flickering moment I thought about the chances of the three of us having more nights like the one we’d already shared.
I checked Jiselle’s cam site and saw she hadn’t been online all day. Then I checked the cameras in her penthouse and paused when I saw the camera in her room was offline. I went back to the footage from last night and saw the moment Stone had found the camera and pocketed it. It was offline now.
I changed the status of my email to out of office and hopped up.
“I’m heading out,” I told my assistant. “Hold my calls unless they’re from my parents, Drix, or a company having an actual data breach. Anything that needs to be negotiated can be done through email.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Thanks.”
The drive out to Jiselle’s spot was slow, but thanks to the second camera I had in her living room, I saw she’d left home an hour ago to run through her Sunday routine. I popped her door open and let myself in, heading straight back to her bedroom.
I looked at the spot where my camera had been and decided I’d put the new one on the opposite side of the room in the back corner. I carefully chose a spot then installed it.
I collapsed onto her bed to make sure it was working properly and exhaled.
My eyes closed and I enjoyed being in Jiselle’s bed yet again.
I couldn’t believe we’d spent the night together, that I’d gotten to experience fucking her.
That hadn’t been my plan. When I’d shown up to her job, I’d planned to get her to agree to a date.
It never crossed my mind that we’d end up fucking.
I damn sure hadn’t expected her to ask me to come home with her and Stone or suggest I suck him off.
I wasn’t mad about any of it. If anything, I was even more excited to spend the rest of my life with her.
The night was worth the level of exhaustion I felt.
We hadn’t gone to sleep until nearly five, with us not leaving the bar until after two.
I felt myself getting more tired as time went by and told myself I’d get up and go home for a nap but my body didn’t seem to be listening to me.
I was only halfway conscious when I heard Jiselle’s front door open.
I didn’t register that I was somewhere I truly shouldn’t have been until I heard her bedroom door opening.
I jumped out of my sleep and jerked up, my brain already thinking of a worthy excuse.
But nothing came out when I found myself face to face with Stone who was holding a flashlight in one hand and looked just as shocked to see me.
“The fuck you doing in here?” he asked.
“What are you doing in here?” I countered.
We stared at each other for a moment and I saw the light bulb go off in his head. He smirked.
“You here for your camera?”
“Why? You got it on you?” I asked.
I didn’t bother lying about it. We both knew what he’d found, and from where I was sitting, it looked like he had broken in just like me.
He couldn’t fucking judge me and anything we threw at each other was hearsay.
Neither of us would run to Jiselle and tell her we’d caught the other breaking in when we’d have to come clean about the fact we’d also broken in.
Stone dug into his pocket and pulled the small camera out. He looked at it carefully.
“You work in IT, right?”
“Right.”
“So this must be a pretty good camera, huh?”
“One of the best you can get.” I held my hand out but he tucked it back into his pocket.
“What were you trying to find out? From the camera?” he clarified.
“What do you mean?”
“We both know Selle does cam work. If you were trying to watch her touch herself, you could have paid the subscription and kept shit pushing. You put a camera up because you wanted to know other shit. What are you trying to find out?”
“I just like to look at her.” I shrugged. “And trust me, I’m subscribed to her cam site too. I’m not trying to get the work for free.”
He nodded once.
“She is insanely fucking pretty,” he acknowledged, exhaling and looking around her room. “How many more of those things do you have hidden around here?”
“One.”
“Where is it?”
“Why would I tell you that, Stone?”
“I came in here to look for other cameras anyway.” He showed me the flashlight in his hand. “I can find it the hard way if you want but then I’ll be taking it down and we both know you can’t stop me.”
“You believe that?”
“I believe you’re not going to tear up Jiselle’s spot.”
“You’re obsessed with her,” I accused.
“Aren’t you?” He chuckled. “I ain’t break in this mothafucka by myself, now did I?”
I scoffed.
“It’s in the living room,” I admitted. “Behind her television.”
“How often do you check that shit?”
“Every morning.”
He nodded and looked around again before walking over. He sat beside me.
“So, now what?”
“I’m not understanding the question.”
“You’re obsessed with Jiselle. I’m obsessed with Jiselle. And she’s just stuck in the fucking middle.”
“Did you see her last night? Trust me. She’s not complaining.”
Stone chuckled. “Yeah. She’s having the time of her life.”
“Don’t you think she deserves that?”
Stone looked at me. “I think she deserves the fucking world.”
“And I want to give it to her.”
“Yeah? Well, so do I.” He exhaled and repeated himself. “So, now what?”
“So now I think we both know what lengths we’re willing to go to for her so we focus on making sure she’s happy and taken care of and let everything else fall into place.”
“Yeah. Easier said than done.” Stone’s gaze drifted back to where the camera had originally been. “Can I get access to that camera?”
“What?”
“I didn’t stutter.” He looked back at me. “Give me access to the cameras and I’ll give you access to my car tracker.”
“You have a tracker in her car?”
“Nigga, why does it sound like you’re judging me when you had two cameras in this bitch?”
“I’m not judging. Shit. I’m annoyed that I didn't think to do one.” I held my hand out. “Give me your phone.”
Stone handed it over and I downloaded the application for him to look at the cameras I’d set up. When I gave his phone back, I watched him switch between cameras easily.
“So you work in stopping people from cyber-attacks and shit, but do you ever help people be the attacker?” he asked.
“I can’t confirm or deny that.”
“How much, hypothetically, would you run someone for some shit like that?” He locked his phone and looked at me.
“What exactly would you be trying to find?”
“If I wanted to get into Selle’s cell phone,” he said carefully. “Just for tracking purposes, not to read her texts or no shit like that.”
“I’d do it for free,” I admitted. “And if I hack it, I'm definitely searching for my name in her text messages.”
“Well if you’re going to look through her shit too, I’m not against reading about myself,” he confessed.
“Let me make a note to get into that when I get back to my computer.”
I grabbed my phone to make a reminder. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought about hacking into Jiselle’s phones. I mean, I had, but ultimately decided I didn’t want to invade her privacy… but if Stone planned to do it anyway, what would be the harm in one more pair of eyes?
We both turned toward Stone’s phone when it started ringing and my eyebrows knitted when I saw it was Jiselle.
“Does she call you often?”
“Hell nah.” Stone answered almost immediately. “What’s wrong, Selle?” He paused for a beat. “I’m on my way right now. Just send me your location.” He hung up and looked at me. “Jiselle is on the side of the road and wants me to get her.”
“I’m coming,” I stated. Stone’s eyebrows knitted and I held his gaze. “We just agreed to stalk this woman together. I think we can handle fixing her car together.”
“You don’t look like the type who’s good with their hands,” he said.
“I’m good at a lot of things I don’t look good at but you already know that.” I grinned at him.
Stone chuckled, shook his head, and climbed up.
“Man, come on. And don’t leave shit in here either.”
“This isn’t my first time breaking in, Stone. I’m not an amateur."
“Yeah, alright, nigga. Come on.”
He yanked the door open and gestured for me to precede him. I took one slow look to make sure nothing was out of place then left.
