Callan

C allan woke up to Mercy’s body wrapped around him. She slept the night in between Cash and him in their bed. Mercy agreed that they could move her into the master bedroom that the two created for her and it felt right to have her between the two of them finally. Her belly was resting up against his side and the baby’s kicking woke him. It was probably the best way that anyone had ever woken him up and he couldn’t wait to be a father.

Cash and he did more than just finish remodeling the house to get ready for Mercy. While they waited for her to come to her senses and let them in, they started reading every pregnancy book that they could get their hands on. He felt that between Cash and him, they would have the whole dad thing down. He had to admit that at first, he was worried about them sharing Mercy and he was sure there would be no way they would agree to share the baby. But Cash pointed out that it didn’t matter which one of them was the baby’s father. They were both in love with Mercy and their baby would have two fathers who adored him or her. A biological claim wouldn’t have anything to do with how they felt.

had met Cash’s friends and knew that the lifestyle that they were hoping to achieve with Mercy could exist, but he knew that it was going to take some work on all their parts. Mercy was putting up roadblocks at every turn telling them no. Now that she finally said yes and agreed to be theirs, they could get to work building their family.

The first thing that he and Cash wanted to do was move her into their room, giving them the guest room to turn into a nursery. It was on the same level as the master bedroom and would be a great room for the baby. They also had a bunch of bedrooms on the second level of the house that he hoped Mercy and Cash would agree to help him fill, someday. Right now, they needed to concentrate on the little life that Mercy was carrying and get ready for him or her to make the journey into this world. The baby would be there in a few short weeks, and they had nothing besides their pregnancy books to show that they were ready.

Cash had enlisted the help of Regan and Emily to come up with a comprehensive list of everything that they would need for the baby’s arrival. wished that Cash would pay that much attention to the bar’s books, but he was thankful that he didn’t have to figure this new phase of his life out alone. He and Cash were a reluctant partnership at first, but they were proving to be a pretty damn good team now. Mercy didn’t stand a chance of resisting the two of them once they got their shit together and agreed to go after her as a pair.

gently slipped from the bed, loving the way Mercy turned to snuggle into Cash’s body. He wasn’t sure if he’d be able to control the jealousy that he first experienced when the three of them shared their first night. But, seeing Mercy with Cash only made him realize how lucky he was. There was no room for jealousy, the three of them worked, and that made him so fucking happy.

He made his way down to the kitchen, deciding that after the long night that they all just had, coffee would be in order, along with a little breakfast. They had a busy day ahead of them. Cash said something about stopping down at the bar to show a contractor around the building next door. He was excited that Cash was moving forward with his plan to build the BDSM club. Sure, it was a risk financially, but knew that Cash had a good business head on his shoulders. If Cash set his mind to making the club work, it would. And, if things got tough, had plenty of clients to help them pay their bills. Between the two of them, knew that they would be able to take care of Mercy and the baby.

They also promised Mercy that today was the day that they would go shopping to outfit the nursery and get the baby everything he or she would need for the first few months. At first, she balked at the idea, spouting some bullshit about not having any money to buy things. But Cash quickly put a stop to that nonsense. He growled something about taking care of what was his and Mercy needing to trust him and —their poor girl couldn’t argue with him, especially given the fact that she just agreed to be theirs.

He heard Mercy before he could see her coming down the hall. She wasn’t exactly a morning person, especially since the pregnancy had limited her daily caffeine consumption. hoped that she would be able to sleep a little longer. She hadn’t been sleeping much lately but Emily assured them that it was normal for the mom not to sleep much during the last month. His poor Mercy looked about ready to drop but he would never tell her that. She always had a smile for them, telling them both that she was fine. He wanted her to let them take care of her, but he wasn’t sure that Mercy would ever give up complete control. She was so fiercely independent and that was something that he loved about her. It would be nice to have her lean on them a little more, even letting her guard down around them.

“Hey,” she croaked. handed her a cup of coffee with vanilla creamer, and she moaned, taking her first sip.

“You do love your coffee, baby.” pulled her gently into his body and kissed her forehead. She leaned her head against his shoulder and yawned. “How did you sleep?” he asked.

Mercy smiled up at him, “Well, the little bit of sleep that you and Cash let me get was good. You two are the most demanding men I’ve ever met.” palmed her ass and growled.

“You haven’t seen anything yet, baby. We went easy on you since you are pregnant. We’ll have plenty of time to play properly after the baby comes,” promised.

Mercy shivered in anticipation and chuckled. He was pretty sure that Mercy was the perfect woman for the two of them. The way that she submitted to them was beautiful and he couldn’t wait to get her into Cash’s finished club and show her off. He and Cash would truly be in their element, and he was sure that Mercy would thrive under their direction.

“You all get up way too fucking early,” Cash growled from the hallway. Mercy giggled and laid her coffee cup on the counter, wrapping her arms around his nearly naked body.

“Morning little one,” he grumbled, kissing Mercy. poured Cash a mug of coffee, handing it over to him.

“Thanks, man.” Cash tipped his mug to in a mock salute.

“Are we ready to go shopping for this little one?” Cash palmed Mercy’s belly as she nodded.

“Yes,” she whispered. “Although I wish you’d let me pay you back after I get a job.” Cash’s frustrated growl filled the kitchen. wasn’t too happy about her insisting on paying for the baby’s things or the way she talked about finding another job. He’d be fine with her staying home with the baby, but he wasn’t a caveman. He wouldn’t stand in her way of working, either.

“We aren’t going to discuss this again, little one.” Cash swatted her ass with no real heat, causing her to yelp.

“Fine,” she pouted, drinking down the rest of her coffee. “Can I have breakfast? I’m starving.” was already on it, loading her plate with bacon and pancakes that he made. He loved Mercy’s appetite and had to admit that he hoped she kept some of her sexy new curves once the baby was born. It gave Cash and him more to hold onto and he couldn’t get enough of her ass.

helped Mercy sit at the table and poured her a glass of orange juice. They all sat around the big table that Cash had built and the whole scene was very domestic. He could almost imagine a big, rowdy family sitting around that same table on weekends, eating pancakes and the thought made him a little sad. His own family had all but disowned him when he told them about Cash and his relationship with Mercy. Even though his parents lived across the country, he was never one to keep secrets from them. He decided to bite the bullet and call them to tell his mom and dad that they were going to be grandparents. At first, they were thrilled, until he broke the news about Cash and him sharing Mercy and the baby. His mother was beside herself, crying and going on about raising him better. His father grumbled something about not disciplining him enough as a child and got off the line. By the time he finished the conversation, he knew that it was going to take more than time to fix their relationship. He wasn’t sure that they would ever come around and that was their loss. Mercy was lucky to have the support of her grandmother, they all were.

“Have you heard from Mary?” asked.

“Gram left me a text during the night. She and Joe are having a blast,” Mercy said around a mouthful of pancakes.

“How are you feeling about her running off to elope?” Cash asked.

Mercy shrugged, “At first I was pissed but now, I get it. She didn’t want anyone to make a fuss. Gram just wanted to marry the man that she loved and move on with her life. I can’t blame her.” Mercy took another bite of pancakes, “I’m just a little sad that I couldn’t be there for her.”

Cash pulled her from her chair to sit on his lap, “How about we throw her and Joe a little party when they get back?” Mercy’s eyes lit up at Cash’s suggestion. She vigorously nodded her head, making them both chuckle.

“Done,” Cash barked. “ and I will plan something at the bar, and you can help with the guest list and details but nothing too strenuous. Your only job right now is to take care of yourself and the baby.” Cash rubbed her belly, releasing her to sit back in her seat.

Mercy polished off the rest of her breakfast and stood, “Do I have time for a bath?” she asked. cleared the dishes, liking the thought of her naked and soapy in the big bathtub that he and Cash had installed in the new master bath. It was big enough for the three of them and he could tell Cash was having the same thoughts.

“I’ll run the water, little one. You have two hours until we leave for the bar. I want to introduce both of you to an old friend and then we’ll go shopping.” Cash headed down the hall, to the master suite. worried that he knew exactly what Cash was talking about since he shared that he called Slade to get a quote on remodeling the club. He just hoped for all their sakes that Slade was ready to forgive Cash. didn’t want any trouble, especially with Mercy involved—she and the baby were his top priority, and he would do just about anything to keep them both safe.
