MISSING POSTCARD RECEIVED ONE WEEK LATER
Dear Ellie,
I was on the subway the other day and the lock screen photo of you and Noah popped up my phone. The lady next to me said I had a beautiful family, and of course I said yes. Of course I did. I didn’t need to think about it.
Then I told her how I couldn’t wait to go home because I get it now, when people say that home can be a person. You and Noah. You’re my home, my whole world.
Actually, you’re not just my world, Ellie. You turn it.
You once said that maybe the reason I’m always travelling is because I have trouble staying still, and maybe you’re right about that.
But I want to be still with you. I’d stop time for a single moment with you.
But in case there’s any doubts in that beautiful brain of yours, please know I’m right where I want to be.
