There were a few tried-and-true ways to test a relationship’s strength. Challenges couples faced that could make or break them or, at the very least, let them know what they were dealing with in the hard times. Traveling. Meeting the family. Getting stuck in traffic. Grocery shopping while hungry.

The biggest of tests, in Grace Travis’s mind, were designing, renovating, or remodeling a space with a partner. Luckily, she and Noah Jansen, her fiancé, were solid in all of these areas, especially the last one. That didn’t mean they were problem-free. He ate more than his half of the Ben the desire to stand on her own while also being so grateful for all Noah brought to her life.

They knew each other well, so she could tell by the way his eyes lit up and he couldn’t quite stand still that whatever he wanted to share was something he wanted.

A lot of her life growing up had revolved around surviving and dealing with a mom who epically failed in the role. Grace never imagined she’d have a successful business with her best friend. She also never pictured a man like Noah or knowing him so well and loving him so much that she felt his excitement as her own. It was one of those things in life that you had no idea how much it mattered until you were lucky enough to experience it. And loving Noah Jansen, getting to be his partner and his fiancée, was the best experience of her life.
