EPILOGUE

One year later

– LIVI –

Completely refreshed I step out of our room here in the clubhouse. I’ve been out all day, picking up groceries and getting things ready for tonight. We’re having a little get-together tonight. It’s not exactly a party, more of a moment to honor our friend.

It’s been exactly a year since Atteo was killed. It’s a shame the time I spent with him was abruptly cut short, and it’s clear he’s deeply missed by all the brothers. My chest tightens when I notice Thorsten standing at the end of the hallway.

He’s staring at the black and white photograph of Atteo. Novak, our son, who’s almost four months now, is sitting on my old man’s hip. He’s been fussy and curious over the past few weeks and craning his neck to follow everything that’s going on.

Novak reaches for the photograph on the wall with his grabby hand and Thorsten chuckles. “Not something you can put in your mouth, kiddo.”

“Hey,” I softly say when I reach my two boys.

Thorsten turns and leans in to brush his lips against mine. “Hey, babe.”

Novak grabs my hair in both his tiny fists and keeps us all locked together.

I take my son and Thorsten gives him a kiss on the top of his head. “Zack and Blue are early and waiting in the kitchen.”

Gently freeing myself from Novak’s grip, I tell Thorsten, “Then I won’t keep them waiting. We’re picking Novak up tomorrow morning, right?”

With so much family surrounding us, wanting to chip in and spend time with our son, it gives us precious moments where we can spend time as a couple. We really hit full speed relationship wise and it’s nice to have the support of everyone around us.

“Sounds good. I’m gonna go over the file Archer messaged me about. Come find me when you’ve dropped him off.” He murmurs some low words to Novak and kisses his temple. “Behave, little one.”

Novak pats Thorsten’s cheek with his flat hand. He catches his tiny wrist and places a kiss on Novak’s palm.

“Be right back,” I tell my man while emotions are clogging my throat.

When I met him, I never once let my mind wander about us settling down, let alone having a kid. Hell, my life took a spin ever since I accepted the undercover job. Starting with my past and finding a new family, then Thorsten, my career change, along with a different found family.

Over a year ago I only had one best friend, who turned out to be my cousin, now there are three brotherhoods creating one big family. Life truly is filled with surprises. Good and bad while the road of living allows you to smooth out the bumps in the road.

Stepping into the kitchen, I find my uncle Zack and his wife, and old lady, Blue. Novak has such a huge family who loves him. Three different MCs are connected to him and will always have his back no matter what.

“You’re early.” I smile.

Blue only has eyes for Novak and instantly holds her hands out to him. Novak smiles and focuses his grabby hands on Blue who takes him from me.

Blue hugs him tight when Uncle Zack says, “If it was up to my old lady we’d be here this morning.”

She glares at her husband while I chuckle. “Thanks so much for letting him sleep over tonight.”

“Always,” Blue murmurs.

“Thorsten gave me an overnight bag and I’ve already put it in the car. You guys are picking him up tomorrow, right?” Zack asks.

I nod. “If you need us to pick him up early, just let me know.”

Uncle Zack snorts. “Shorter? No. Pick him up the day after tomorrow? No problem. We love watching our family’s kids, darlin’.”

He steps closer and gives me a one-arm hug. “Call when you wanna pick him up. We’re going to the zoo in the morning, so you and your old man can sleep in.”

“Thanks you guys,” I croak.

“Always,” Blue repeats.

I take my time to hug Novak and walk them out to say goodbye. Standing in the parking lot, I watch until the car is gone to go back inside. The main room is getting busy with members chatting and enjoying a beer. When I walk in the direction of Thorsten’s office, I find Macsen standing in front of Atteo’s photograph.

Coming to a stop next to him, I slowly bump his shoulder and say, “Today might be to honor him, but he’s always in our thoughts, every single day.”

Macsen swallows hard and slowly bobs his head.

“Go grab a beer, and drink one for him as well,” I tell him.

He gives me a tiny smile. “Only if you go find your old man and distract him ’cause today isn’t about work.”

I bump his shoulder with mine again. “Will do, VP.”

Macsen touches the photograph and hangs his head as he walks to the bar. I release a deep sigh and stalk away to find my old man. He’s in his office, bent over his laptop reading about a new case. Ever since they signed the contract with the government Wisely Dicey receives one case a month to solve.

Thorsten aways reads over the details before he presents the case in church the next day. Macsen is right, today is not about work. It’s about remembering. Celebrating life, love, family, brotherhood. All the good things the present and the future hold.

“Your VP wants me to distract you because today isn’t about work,” I tell him as I close the door behind me.

Thorsten slowly tears his eyes away from the screen and murmurs, “Is that so?”

I play with the hem of my shirt. “If you sing a tune I could strip…would it be enough of a distraction? Or maybe I should simply rip the clothes from my body and run around the office.”

Chuckling, I suddenly remember the first time we met and pull my shirt over my head as if a spider is on there. It seems to work when Thorsten throws his head back and barks out his laughter. Warmth spreads inside my chest. This man has become my everything, and our connection is still growing strong without a chance to fade.

Thorsten closes the laptop and opens a drawer to get something before he rounds the desk. “Bouncing tits in a lace bra got me rock hard then, and still works like a damn charm now.”

I smile knowingly. He reaches out and places his hand on the back of my neck. I expect him to pull me close to give me a kiss, but instead he places his forehead against mine.

“I’ve been meaning to tell you something. Been thinking about it for months, waiting for the right time. I guess today really reminds me how time isn’t always given. It’s why I should just throw it out there instead of thinking of ways to make it perfect. Besides, with us nothing is ever normal or traditional.”

I frown and wonder what he’s talking about when he suddenly places a hand on my leg to slide my skirt up.

“Love it when you wear a skirt or a dress,” he murmurs and easily lifts me up.

A giggle slips from me when he walks to the door and presses my back against it to take some of my weight so he can slip a hand between us.

“Need to be inside you for what I’m about to say,” he grunts while I hear his belt and a zipper.

“No arguments here,” I breathe and close my eyes when I feel his fingers pushing my panties to the side.

The heat of his blunt head is spreading my pussy lips, and I groan in delight when he starts to push in.

“Eyes, Livi,” he huskily tells me.

My breath catches when I meet his intense stare. I’m pinned on his cock, balanced between the door and his body as he takes my hand and fumbles with my fingers. When he’s done, he holds up my ring finger to show the simple engagement ring.

“My soon to be wife,” he states. “We’re dotting the I’s of our lives and starting today we’ll try to give Novak a little brother or sister.”

He grinds his hips, hitting the right spot inside me. “Answer me, Livi.”

“Yes,” I groan. “Yes, dammit. I want it all.”

He pulls out and slams back inside me. “Right answer.”

My whole body fills with desire when he starts to fuck me with intense thrusts. His mouth finds mine, our kiss becomes sloppy as we both revel in the bliss bubbling up in our bodies. The chemistry we create is everlasting, it’s why we exploded on impact over a year ago and are still flamingly hot together.

The feel of his inked, muscled body caging me in. His ragged breath and scent surrounding me. The grunts, his cock stretching me…it’s every sensation of this man that lights the fire of life inside me.

I scream his name in ecstasy, my pussy squeezing his cock while I feel him thicken and pulse inside me. This is the first time we’ve had sex without a condom since Novak was born. The thought of another pregnancy along with his unusual way to ask…no, demand to marry him makes this day special.

Sadness and happiness are entwined. The lows always connected to the highs. The dangerous game they call life can only be done through living. With a partner like Thorsten at my side is the only way I’d wanna play life’s game. I’m thankful to have him cross my path when he did. Even if the plan was to bring this man down…I guess I did in more ways than one.

I’d made him fall for me, the way I fell for him. I didn’t exactly get him on his knees just now with his marriage proposal. I guess going undercover, colliding, kidnapping, admitting our feelings, created an unusual foundation for the long run.

Something solid to show we have what it takes to face shit no matter what. And to be honest? I wouldn’t want it any other way.
