Chapter Nine

Crap. Crap. Crap.

Two down, one to go. McKenna forced herself to keep her eye on her to-do list. Anything else and she would fall apart and never be put back together again. If she relived even for one minuscule moment how Kade and Hayden had touched her, her body would betray her with more wetness, and she would succumb without question.

After being caught with Hayden’s tongue in her mouth and his fingers in her pussy, McKenna had to put on the show of her life when she met his entire family, yes, with her cotton-candy hair in full display.

She’d learned that Hayden’s parents, who were going off grid for a few years, had agreed to leave him alone if he brought home a girl, they could see he was serious about.

So again. Hayden, like Kade had to properly sell the idea that their fiancées were not fake in any way. They would have touched anyone the same way who was pretending to be their fiancées. And honestly, this whole thing was giving her a headache and she couldn’t blame her hair.

She didn’t want to think of them kissing other girls and really what business was it of hers anyway. She was their PA, they paid her to work for them. It was a professional relationship. They wouldn’t have willingly tied their tongues with her if they’d had a choice any other way.

Again she was just doing her job. They should be thankful she was that resourceful.

Two down, one to go.

In the back seat of her car she changed into a sleek gown, the cut modest and the style no-nonsense, which exactly described Ledger Mayfield. Also his favorite color was black, hence a black dress.

Ledger took his coffee the same way, so black that when she looked into his coffee cup it felt as if she were looking into an abyss. He didn’t do well with frivolity, and preferred that everyone stay out of his way.

She might get away with Hayden and Kade tolerating her, but Ledger had taken one look at her frivolous shoes and her frivolous clothes and looked away. Well, too bad for him, she wasn’t going to change her wardrobe to suit his grim reaper personality.

Also he was damn lucky she wasn’t arriving at—she checked her navigation— House of Saber dressed in a Pi?ata style dress with bells and whistles attached. She even wore sensible shoes for him—by sensible she meant a plain set of boring heels.

Well, there was still the story of her hair. Nothing she could do about it.

House of Saber was like nothing she had seen before and that was only the outside. The building was so architecturally beautiful she could have stared at it for longer. But the inside was something else altogether.

Everything was black leather, lace and silk. She still didn’t know what kind of place it was after she announced she was there to see Mr. Ledger.

She thought it may have been a restaurant, but no. A night club. Maybe. There was music coming from somewhere in the building. But there was something else about the place, something that sizzled with excitement and the forbidden.

She was led into a huge dimly lit room, the interior design so breathtaking she looked around in awe. But on closer inspection, her mouth dropped open.

The art she was looking at was of the erotic kind. Whips and chains were pinned to the walls like decorative ornaments. And there were some other apparatuses she didn’t recognize but something told her they could have come out of a romance novel she may have read. Oh, holy crap.

Was this a dungeon thing? She was just about to hightail it out of there when her gaze fell on Ledger Mayfield. He started to come toward her. And then the instant he was near enough, she quickly started to explain her presence, the same way she had with Kade and Hayden, in a hushed urgent whisper.

She couldn’t see anyone in the room with them, but she didn’t want to give their cover away if there was someone else there with them.

~~~***~~~
Fuck his life.
Ledger Mayfield had not slept for the last ten nights, not since McKenna Riley, had crashed into his life and disrupted his thinking, his rules, his fucking behavior.
From the first moment he’d laid his gaze on her, he’d been fucked eleven ways straight into hell.
The same could be said for Hayden and Kade. They couldn’t figure what it was about this unknown woman that completely ambushed them with her sunlit eyes and then turned them into slaves for her body. A body she hid under long flowy skirts and loose tops. And there was her shoes. Fuck him all over again.
He thought he could handle his obsession about her. She’d proved him wrong, and the thread that held his cock in place from bursting through and demanding excess into her sweet, hot, wet body grew thinner and weaker every fucking day.
He’d always been the prickly, moody kind, but being around her made him more so because all he wanted to do was tie her up, part her legs, spread her pussy lips apart so that he and his brothers, the men who he grew up with, could feast from her. Drink her wetness, lick her clit, brush the heads of their cocks up and down her folds until she begged them to enter her. Hayden Philips and Kade Howard felt the exact same way as he did. From day one of seeing her. Nothing had changed since then and now they were on the brink of breaking their promise to their mentor, George Thames, and drag her body beneath theirs and just devour her, fill her with their cum, until she was pregnant and bound to them for life.
The thought of the three of them taking her at the same time, went way beyond need. It scaled some sort of subliminal stuff. They needed McKenna Riley like they needed air.
And worse, they had felt that way about her before she even opened her sweet fuckable mouth. Before she started to rearrange their schedules and eliminated tasks that other PAs couldn’t do. She wasn’t conventional in how she did things. She was extraordinary and inventive and creative and smart. And sexy and sweet, and so fucking lovely, if he gave himself permission he could sit and watch her, and his cock would explode with come without him touching her.
But she was here now, acting as his fiancée the same way she’d done for Kade and Hayden.
He looked down her at, not saying a word.
“I—”
He couldn’t stop himself if he tried. He cupped her face and crushed his lips to hers. The sound she made shattered his control, and now he crushed her body to his, moving her until her back hit the wall. His hands slipped from her face. One glided down to her throat and the other brought her flush against the thickness of his cock.
Her sweet surprised and shocked whimper made his blood burn to touch her.
Fuck she was warm satin and smelled like vanilla and lavender and theirs. She smelled like theirs.
Fucking theirs.
“Did Kade and Hayden touch you,” he rasped against her skin, between kissing her and biting her.
“Yes,” she whispered.
“Here,” he asked, rubbing his thumb over her lips.
“Yes,” she breathed. “They had to make it seem real—”
He cut her off. “And here?” His other hand slid up her thigh. She quivered and he wanted to anchor her with his cock immediately.
“Yes, but only—”
He cut her off again, filling her mouth with his tongue, forcing her to suck on the tip and when she did, she drove him over the edge.
His fingers reached the apex of her thighs.
“Fuck,” he roared. “Where are your panties, McKenna?” His voice was so rough and raw, his throat hurt. She was going to be the death of all three of them.
“They’re in Hayden’s pocket. The dress… I didn’t have my purse…”
Nothing could stop him now. He dipped his finger into her. She was celestial and touching her wet hot tight pussy was transcendent.
“Why are you wet, McKenna?”
She didn’t answer immediately.
He bit her lip.
“Why?” He started to lick where he had bitten before, making her sigh against him.
“Because Kade touched me and then Hayden and now you’re touching me.”
Fucking hell. He stroked her clit, imagined what sucking on that tiny little diamond of her would do to his soul. He wanted to make her come. He needed to make her come.
But the sound of voices interrupted him, one male one female. Their teasing laughter had McKenna pulling her dress in place immediately.
He had forgotten the entire reason he needed a fake fiancée in the first place. Robert and Samantha Carlisle had somehow become the owners of a piece of land in Montana. Ledger wanted that land because it had once belonged to his mother.
Robert Carlisle didn’t believe him when he said he wouldn’t do anything to the land except let it be. Well he didn’t blame them; his reputation did precede him for being a ruthless businessman together with Hayden and Kade.
So to make sure they were selling him the land for no other reason than to keep it, they wanted to know he was a romantic. A man whose heart belonged to someone. Hence, fake fiancée. The truth was he didn’t feel bad. He had no intention of giving his heart over to anyone and if they couldn’t have McKenna Riley out of respect for their mentor, he planned to die unmarried and not in love.
“Sorry to interrupt. I know what that feels like, so if you want us to come back later, we can,” Robert teased.
“That’s all right,” Ledger said, holding onto McKenna with such possessiveness he was even reluctant to let her go to the ladies with Samantha so he and Robert could discuss the sale of land to him over some 50-year Scotch.
