Chapter Thirty-Four Grayson

CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR: GRAYSON

I t was another Saturday night at The Dive watching Bennett sing. Well, I should say we had been watching him. Now he was at the table with us, devouring hot wings and sucking down a cold one on his break.

As she reclined in the booth, Vivian ran her hand over her bump. Although she still had two months to go and the baby was measuring ahead, she really seemed to start showing lately.

Her evolving figure was a serious source of fascination for the guys and me. The gradual swelling of her breasts and widening of her hips was liquid sex. Then there was the subtle expansion of her stomach. It felt completely different than how it looked. I’m surprised she hadn’t told us to leave her alone, considering all the times we had our hands on her belly. The first time we’d felt him kick, we’d seriously lost our minds.

“I have something to ask you guys,” she said.

I wagged my brows. “If it’s anything remotely sexual, I’m down for it.”

“Oh really?” Vivian challenged.

“Absolutely.”

I’d just thrown back a swig of beer when she countered, “I was interested in pegging you.”

As I spewed the beer out of my mouth, Bennett and Theo cackled. “She’s got you there, Gray,” Theo replied.

He knew better than anyone that anal play was off-limits for me. After swiping the back of my hand across my face, I said, “That would be the only thing I would say no to.”

“What about a prostate massage?”

Snatching the last wing off the platter, I replied, “I suppose I should make myself more clear. As of this moment, anal play is a hard, hard limit.”

She grinned. “Lucky for you, my question didn’t have anything to do with sex.”

Winking at her, I replied, “Pity.”

“I wanted us to go on a babymoon.”

Bennett furrowed his brows. “A what?”

“It’s a romantic trip before the baby comes,” Vivian replied.

Theo nodded. “I’m down for that.”

“Same,” I replied.

“Since it’s usually just a couple on a babymoon, I thought we could all go away together, but I could devote a day to each of you for some one-on-one time.” With a pointed look, she added, “You know how Dr. Zeller always says how important it is for us as a poly couple to take one-on-one time for each other.”

“Wouldn’t it be easier for each of us to take you away for a weekend?” Theo asked.

Vivian smiled. “That sounds perfect, but I don’t want to take away your PTO days now. You’ll need them when the baby comes.”

“I think we can work with those parameters,” Bennett said.

“Really?”

He nodded. “What did you have in mind for our dates?”

Vivian’s shy smile sent my heartbeat thrumming wildly in my chest. “Well, I was going to leave that up to you guys. I like the idea of you surprising me like you did on our first date.”

Groaning, I said, “Oh, there’s no pressure there at all.”

She playfully smacked my arm. “As romantic as you are, you won’t have a problem.”

With a grin, Bennett said, “Considering those two jackasses only took you to the arena, it doesn’t sound like the bar is too high.”

“We’ve done more romantic things than that,” Theo replied with a scowl.

Vivian rubbed his arm. “That’s true. They brought me roses on our second date.”

“And multiple orgasms,” I added.

She laughed. “That is very true.”

Bennett snorted. “Okay then. What romantic location should we be thinking about?”

“How about somewhere tropical?” Theo suggested.

“As alluring as that sounds, I don’t think I should be flying too far. Also, I have to be careful of blood clots with long road trips,” Vivian replied.

Creasing his brows, Theo said, “With those parameters, we’re left with the Mass coast.”

“Pretty much.”

Snorting, I replied, “I thought you said you wanted somewhere romantic.”

As Vivian giggled, Bennett argued, “The coast isn’t a complete shit hole.”

Theo nodded. “Our beach house on Martha’s Vineyard is totally romantic. Some of my parents' buddies even got married there.”

“Of course, you have a posh beach house,” Vivian mused.

“ Had ,” he replied with a smirk. “Considering how things went down with my parents, it’s no longer any part of mine.”

With a curious look, Bennett asked, “Do you still have the keys and codes?”

Theo’s dark brows furrowed. “Yeah, why?”

“We should crash it for the weekend.”

Vivian gasped as Theo snorted. “Damn, Bennie. That’s something I’d expect out of Gray but not you.”

Winking, Bennett grinned. “What can I say? I like a little revenge with my babymoon.” He turned to Vivian. “What do you think, Pretty Woman? Wanna christen every room in the Novak’s pristine beach house with our debauchery?”

“Absolutely,” she replied with a laugh.

Always practical, Vivian had insisted we make reservations at a nice bed and breakfast just in case we got busted by Theo’s parents. As Theo turned into a winding drive, my jaw unhinged at the house before us. With a low whistle, I replied, “Damn, bro, you are rich.”

Theo cut his eyes over to me. “Once again, my parents are wealthy. I’m disinherited, remember?”

“You don’t know that for sure,” Vivian countered.

“Babe, I know you try to see the best in everyone, but I think it’s pretty clear from the silent treatment how my parents feel about me.”

“But that doesn’t mean you’re disinherited.” At Theo’s eye roll, Vivian challenged, “They could change their mind. Especially when the baby gets here.”

“My parents barely tolerated me. What makes you think my little rugrat is going to make a difference?”

“Because a lot of parents have better relationships with their grandchildren than they do with their children.”

With a smirk, Theo said, “I’ll bet you me finally claiming your ass that they don’t come around when Little Man is born.”

While Bennett groaned, Vivian shrieked in horror. “I’m not making a sexual bet that involves our child.”

Bennett shook his head. “Just when I think you’re making emotional gains in therapy, you comment on that.”

Wagging his brows, Theo said, “Does that mean I can take your ass tonight?”

“This conversation is over,” Vivian huffed before throwing open her car door.

“Maybe a finger?” Theo called, which earned him a smack from Bennett.

After grabbing some of our stuff, we started to the front door of the house. As our shoes crunched over the pebbled walkway, Vivian kept glancing left and right like she expected a security team to bust out of the bushes. “Don’t worry, Viv,” I assured her.

“What if they have cameras?” she asked.

“Oh, they have lots of cameras.” At her horrified look, I winked. “But as a computer science major, I easily hacked into them.”

“You didn’t?” she gasped.

“I sure as hell did.”

She slowly shook her head. “Why did I ever think it would be a good idea to recommend a babymoon?”

I playfully rolled my eyes. “I didn’t hack into their banking accounts. I merely rerouted the cameras to repeat views from yesterday and last night.”

“I didn’t know you could do that,” Vivian remarked.

Wagging my brows, I replied, “I’ve got moves you’ve never seen.”

She laughed. “I look forward to you acquainting me with them.”

Theo unlocked the door. At the beeping of the alarm, he hurried inside. Although I’d reassured Vivian earlier, I couldn’t help holding my breath as he entered the alarm code. When it cut off, I wheezed in relief.

Theo grinned at us. “Looks like we have a beach house for the weekend.”
