Dear Margaux,

I want to see you and they say no. Every day they say no. I cried and cried so much my eyes were all red but no one listened to me so I stopped crying. There is a mean girl here. She pinched my arm four times. I will Stand Up for myself like daddy told me to and I will hurt her back.

I love you. Can you come and get me? I miss you. I can’t sleep at all. They gave me a doll to sleep with. I hate that stupid doll. I put it in the fire.
