Letters

My dearest Castien,

I do not feel worthy of your words. At the same time, I wish to put your letter on my mirror in order to see it every day. Perhaps if I did, looking in it wouldn’t be as difficult.

After all I’ve been through, all I’ve done, it is difficult to imagine myself as anything other than broken. I do not think others would agree with your sentiments toward me. This contract we’ve entered into will be the only one I experience, I am sure.

Are you certain there is nothing I can do to repay you?

Yours,

Wren
