Letters
My dearest Wren,
Heathford told me you accepted my letter, which means you might have read it. However, perhaps you have thrown it into the fire instead, and this one will find its home next to it.
I know you wish to avoid me, so I will remove myself from the dining hall so you can enjoy the company of our friends. They are likely to be cross with me if I don’t, for they are all quite fond of you.
Again I ask, please tell me if there is anything I can do. I will subject myself to whatever punishment, pay any price, say or do as you command, in order to call myself your friend once more.
Hopefully Yours,
Castien
