Chapter Eight

The day had been perfect. Exactly how he’d wanted it to go before he went to sleep. A couple of days to rest, and in time, hopefully, Justin will have moved on. Yes, he may feel rejected, used even, but Eteriion needed the distance. They had no future, and he had to accept that.

Stripping, Eteriion inhaled, scenting Justin on his skin.

He wanted to have that scent embedded in him, but he knew they would never form that deep a bond.

They were different species, and Justin would have to accept Eteriion once he found out exactly what Eteriion was.

He could already see Justin running if he caught so much as a glimpse of Eteriion’s tentacles.

“I should have stayed away and not given in to my loneliness.” Eteriion closed his eyes, breathing in Justin’s scent. “But at least I had these few days to enjoy being close to someone. To feel him against my body, to scent his arousal, to see the lust and want in his eyes.”

Closing his eyes, he inhaled again, taking Justin’s sweet scent deep inside so he could remember it for all the times when he would be alone.

And there would be plenty of those in Eteriion’s future because, after five years of trying, he still couldn’t fix his ship.

This planet, this place, was now his home, and he had to accept that.

The fact that Ged and the others were still trying to help him touched him deep inside.

To have them accept him as he was and welcome him in did alleviate some of the loneliness he felt, but it didn’t eradicate it.

Spending time with Justin, being intimate with him, but knowing it couldn’t last…

“Maybe I should have stayed away then. I wouldn’t feel this way now.

” No. He’d enjoyed his time with Justin.

He’d laughed and felt emotions that had been buried for years with Justin, but it couldn’t last, so now he was facing the repercussions.

“But I’d do it again because those hours spent with him were worth it. ”

Sighing, he had a quick shower, then climbed into bed.

The cool sheets felt nice against his skin, and he slid the palms of his hands over them, feeling their softness.

Rolling onto his side, he lifted off the bed and punched his pillow a couple of times to get it into the shape he preferred, then settled back down.

Closing his eyes, he breathed deeply, relaxing every muscle until he sank deep into the bed, then he began to shut down his body as he prepared for his couple of days’ sleep.

Hopefully, when he woke, he would be in a much better condition, both mentally and emotionally. He needed to be. He had many more years left to live on this planet. Many more years alone. And with that final thought, he drifted into sleep.

***

The loud banging on his front door roused him from sleep and he blinked his eyes, letting his tentacles rub the sleep from them.

The banging continued, so he threw the covers back and grabbed a pair of sleep pants, shoving his legs into them as he staggered to the front door.

Flinging it open, he lowered his eyes until he spotted Justin. “Justin?”

Justin stared open mouthed at him, then lifted a shaky hand and pointed at Eteriion’s head.

“What the fuck are those? Are they…what the fuck?” He stood silent for a few seconds.

“Tentacles?” he blurted out. “Are they tentacles?” His mouth opened and closed a few times.

“What the fuck are you? And your eyes! What the hell?” Justin stumbled back, falling on his ass, then scrambled back toward the wall of…

snow? “Jesus fucking Christ! You’re an alien!

A real life… we fucked! Oh my God! I had your dick in my ass!

More than once! Is it even a dick or one of those things on your head?

Did you fuck me with one of those? Is that why you took me from behind?

Oh, my fucking God.” Justin spun onto his hands and knees and began to crawl toward a tunnel… in the snow.

Eteriion glanced around and realized it had snowed. And snowed a lot. It had to be at least six feet high, and as he watched Justin crawl through a tunnel in the snow, he realized something. “You dug a tunnel in the snow.”

“The alien can talk…” Justin laughed, but it sounded strange to Eteriion. “Am I going to catch some deadly disease? Oh, God.”

“I can’t pass anything on to you and it snowed this much last night?”

“Over the last three nights!” Justin glanced over his shoulder, his eyes going wide, and he shot up and managed to run several steps before slipping and falling over.

Whimpering, he crawled forward again until Eteriion jogged over and helped him up.

Justin swung his arms around and promptly fell. “Don’t touch me.”

“Justin—”

“You’re a fucking alien!” he screamed.

“Yes, I am, and I’ve been living here for over five years. If I was going to do anything to endanger humans, I’d have done it by now.”

“Maybe you’re waiting for the rest of your kind to arrive. I’m going to become a pod person,” Justin sobbed. “Or encased in that slimy shit from Aliens.”

“The first two are great movies.”

“Yes, they are, but stay the fuck away!” Justin shook his hands in Eteriion’s direction.

“Can’t you see I’m having a meltdown here?

Were you an alien when we fucked? Oh, God…

” Justin sat on his ass and rocked back and forth.

Eteriion slowly approached, then crouched next to him.

“Don’t touch me,” Justin snapped. “Why didn’t you tell me? ”

“Er, because of this?” Eteriion waved his hand over Justin. “The meltdown you’re having.”

“Who said I’m having a meltdown? I’m asleep and this is a nightmare, and I’ll wake up and laugh my ass off about it.” Justin pulled a glove off and pinched the skin on the back of his hand. “Any minute now…”

Eteriion grabbed his arm and hauled him up, then held him steady until Justin could stand on his own two feet. “I like you.”

“You can’t eat me. I’m inedible.”

“You didn’t say that the other night.” Eteriion smiled, then let it fall from his face when Justin glared at him. “Too soon?”

Justin gaped at him, then shoved him off and fell over.

Glaring up at him, he panted, and Eteriion waited until it appeared Justin had calmed down.

When Justin finally sighed and dropped his head, Eteriion held a hand out.

“I can get up by myself.” Justin rolled onto his hands and knees, then pushed back to his feet.

Eteriion watched, wincing slightly as Justin held his arms out and slowly straightened.

“You’re the first person to find out about me since I crashed here, other than a few of the townsfolk.”

Justin slowly turned to face him, his arms still held out. “Crashed?”

“A bird hit my ship.”

Justin’s mouth fell open then his lips twitched. “A bird strike?”

“Yes,” Eteriion ground out. He could tell Justin wanted to laugh. “I’ve been here since. A few in the nearby town know about me. They saved me and helped me recover. As of right now, I can’t return home.” He looked back at his cabin and let his shoulders fall. “I’m alone, so you’re safe.”

“There’s no other aliens here?”

Eteriion looked back at Justin and nodded. “No. Just me.”

“That must be lonely being the only one of your kind here. What are those marks on your back? They looked like interlocking circles.”

Eteriion gave Justin a small smile when he nodded. “We’re born with them. We’ve always had them. The same with our eyes.”

Justin took a tentative step closer and peered into his eyes. “Wow. They’re really pretty.”

“So are yours.” Justin’s eyes widened, and he shook his head. “I think they are. They’re different from mine. I like looking into them...”

“Well, you know. Alien.” Justin chuckled, then stepped away and Eteriion missed his closeness. “Anyway, it snowed. A lot, and we’re stuck.”

“Let me freshen up and I’ll check our supplies. We’ll be here for a few days. The town will be the priority, then they’ll clear up here. We’re the only ones here right now.”

“Okay.” Justin licked his lips, then pointed his thumb over his shoulder back toward his cabin. “I’ll be there.” Eteriion watched him walk and slide back to his cabin through the tunnel he’d spent a couple of days digging then went back to his own, his tentacles helping him.

“That isn’t fair!” Justin shouted.

Grinning, Eteriion shouted back, “If you had them, you’d use them too.”

“Er, human here! I don’t come with extra bits waving from my head!”

Chuckling, Eteriion entered his cabin and shut the door, then ran to the back to check his supplies.

He always made sure to keep stocked up, and he sighed in relief when he saw the wood and oil he had.

Next was food, and seeing he was good there, he made sure the generator was running and had a quick, hot shower.

Once he’d finished, he dressed in warm clothes and left for Justin’s.

When he reached the cabin, he knocked on the door and entered. The place was noticeably cooler than his own cabin. “Justin?”

“In the back. I can’t get the generator to work.” Eteriion walked over to the room the generator was housed in and stopped when Justin gasped. “Shit. I forgot about them.”

“Medusa.”

Justin blinked then nodded. “I can see it. Any ideas on how to make this work?”

“Maybe. Let me have a look.” Eteriion went through all the checks he knew but couldn’t get it started.

“There’s plenty of fuel in it and nothing appears broken.

” Justin stood and rubbed his arms. “Gather your things and you can stay at my place. My generator is running and if we move your logs over, we’ll be able to keep the fire going as well. ”

Justin simply stared at him. “Me. Your place.”

“Yes. If I was going to hurt you, I would have done it as I had you bent over the table.”

“Do you have to remind me I had alien sex?”

“Good alien sex.” Eteriion grinned, then let it slide from his face when he saw the look on Justin’s.

Justin opened and closed his mouth a few times, then shook his head and pushed past Eteriion. “It’s been a long time.”

“Same.” Eteriion shut the door to the generator and watched Justin pace the kitchen. “I wanted to tell you, but I knew this was how you would react.”

“So, you fucked me on the sly.” Justin put his hands on his hips and glared at Eteriion.

Justin had a point, but Eteriion needed to explain why. “I’m sorry I hid who I am from you, but if you were in my position, you would have done the same. Think about it. Would we have had sex if you knew what I am? No, you would have left, maybe even told the authorities about me.”

Justin narrowed his eyes at Eteriion, then stormed across the room to his bedroom.

Eteriion exhaled slowly and followed at a much slower pace.

When he reached the door, he watched Justin throw his clothes in a bag.

“It makes sense to stay at yours. Can you please get the food?” Justin carried on throwing his things in his bag and ignoring Eteriion.

Nodding, Eteriion did what Justin asked, then stood waiting by the front door.

He could hear Justin mutter to himself and had to suppress a smile when he heard, “I can’t believe I’m going to live with the alien who has a great dick.

Now I’m thinking about an alien’s dick. Why does he have to be so fucking hot? ”

Walking out of his bedroom, Justin slowed when he noticed Eteriion, then sped up and walked past him. Following, Eteriion closed the door to Justin’s cabin. “This will be fun,” he hoped.
