Prologue

Once upon a time, a hunter, a priest, a soldier, and an outcast were asked to escort two tsarevnas on a long journey.

If they accepted the responsibility to care for the royal twins, guide them to the Dreaming Mountain, and protect them from harm, the men would be gifted with more riches than they could carry, and they’d each earn a boon from the empire.

The men agreed to render aid, even when they discovered the tsarevnas were cursed by magic to roam the earth as fierce tigers.
