Chapter 17 #2
My lips slowly curled upward at the praise.
I knew I should go wash off. My body was sticky, sweaty, covered in cum, but I couldn’t fight off the exhaustion as my mind faded into darkness.
My body felt sluggish when my eyes slowly opened.
At first I was confused about where I was before the previous night came rushing back to me.
The corners of my mouth lifted as a warm glow flowed through me.
First thing I realized once I tossed the covers off and sat up was that I was in the bedroom alone.
The second was that I was in my silk pajama short set.
I didn’t remember changing or cleaning myself up last night, so that meant Yosiah must have.
My teeth sank into my bottom lip as I fought back a delighted shrill.
Last night Yosiah felt like a completely different person.
The way he caressed and touched me, down to the words he whispered in my ear, had caused my stomach to flutter.
Today was the last day of the trip. I was dreading checkout that I knew had to be soon because I loved the little bubble me and Yosiah had been in the past couple days. There was no work, no outside noise, just us spending time together and growing closer.
Sighing, I climbed out of bed and headed for the bathroom to handle my morning routine.
“Oh wow.” My mouth dropped as I prepared to brush my teeth.
Lifting my other hand, I brushed it across the top of my chest covered in bite marks and hickies.
Last night I had been so lost in pleasure and it seemed I wasn’t the only one.
My heart swelled as I looked over the rest of my body, noting the love marks left behind and scattered on my stomach, thighs, and chest.
Once finished and changed, I went to find my husband. Since we would be leaving soon. I figured we could hit the hot spring one last time.
“Oh you’re up. I thought I was gonna have to come in there and wake you,” Yosiah said as he looked up from his tablet and laid eyes on me.
“I hope you’re not doing any work. We’re still on your birthday trip, hubby.” Sashaying to him on the couch, I pulled the tablet from his grasp and slid into his lap, wrapping my arms around his neck.
“I was in the middle of replying to an email,” he stated.
Rolling my eyes, I leaned in and pecked his lips. “You can do that later. It’s your birthday and you’re not supposed to work on your birthday.”
“We only have a couple hours until checkout, but I thought we could pack up and go into town for breakfast before heading home.”
“Home.” I sighed, poking my bottom lip out. “Wouldn’t it be better to stay a couple more days? We’ve been having such a great time, right?” I ran my finger down his bare chest and batted my lashes.
“As good as that sounds, we can’t. We both have to go back to work tomorrow.”
“You’re the boss, you choose when to go back, and I can tell Simone I can’t start until Tuesday.”
“Nice try, but no.”
Rolling my eyes, I shifted so I was now straddling him. “I guess we’ll just have to enjoy these last couple hours. Maybe we can add to the marks you left on me last night. Thanks for cleaning me up by the way.”
His eyes bounced around the top half of my body and filled with heat. “You’re not sore? I thought last night I might have been a bit too rough.” He brushed over one of the marks left on my neck, causing me to shiver.
“Are you kidding? I loved every moment. We should have sex like that more often; it was hot as fuck.” I moved in and kissed him again, this time flicking my tongue across his lips.
“You don’t turn off, do you?” He chuckled lowly, gripping my ass.
“Not for you, I don’t. Why don’t we utilize the open air bath one last time while we still can.”
Yosiah’s nostrils flared and his eyes grew more heated. I yelped when he stood with me in his arms. My legs went around his waist and my arms tightened around his neck.
“Since you want to twist my arm about it.” I giggled and rolled my hips into his bulge. I was loving this new side of Yosiah and I prayed it stayed once we got back to the real world.
Unfortunately, time went by too fast and the trip ended.
The ride home was peaceful and now we were home in the living room with Yosiah finally opening the sense gifts I’d gotten him.
So far he’d opened the “sight” bag that had a pair of Louis Vuitton sunglasses, the ”touch” bag that had a grooming self-care kit for him, and “smell” that held a bottle of Bleu De Chanel cologne.
I never knew it could be so fulfilling to see someone open gifts you’d given them.
“Here you go, Princess,” I gushed, handing her a treat as Yosiah grabbed the “sound” bag. I petted Princess. who laid pouting in my lap. She was never happy with me when she had to go to the doggie hotel and I was gone for too long.
He pulled out the over the ear Bluetooth headphones. “I haven’t heard of these.” He looked the box over.
“They’re supposed to be good and comfortable for working out. I know you like to go biking for whatever reason.” I balled my face up, causing him to laugh. “So they should be perfect.”
He examined the box a little longer, his eyes full of gratitude and light. “I can’t wait to try them.” He set the box down and grabbed the final bag. “And then there was one.”
“I think you’ll love this one the most.” I danced in my seat, grinning proudly.
One of his brows quirked and he pulled the tissue paper out, tossing it to the side.
“Oh,” he mumbled, pulling out a wooden box and scanning it.
“I couldn’t get you the other ones I wanted because… well, my dad screwed me and my bank account over.” My eyes shifted to the side. “So uh, yeah, anyway from my research, I read these ones were just as good.”
“These are Davidoff Oro Blanco cigars. They’re not cheap.”
“They’re good ones though, right?” I picked Princess up and hugged her to my chest.
“They’re one of the best.” Yosiah pulled the box open and brought it to his nose, inhaling them. “Damn these smell good.”
“You hear that, Princess. The best.” Pride filled me. I tried to put as much thought into my gifts as possible. It wasn’t easy since I had to get used to having limited funds. I’d never even heard the word budget used in the same sentence as me before, but I managed.
Yosiah set the box of cigars down and faced me. He stared at me for a long while, silent.
“What’s wrong? Is there something you didn’t like?” I scanned the gifts scattered around him.
He licked his lips and stood, coming over and taking a seat next to me.
His intense stare started to make me question the gifts I’d chosen, which was crazy because I’d always been an amazing gift giver. He narrowed his eyes and tilted his head to the side, running that burning stare down my body before circling back to my face.
“How did you pay for all this, Xylina?”
“With money, what do you mean?” I giggled, putting Princess down.
He didn’t find humor in my words. “You know what I mean. Those cigars alone aren’t cheap and everything else added with the Ryokan. How was everything paid for?”
I knew what he was getting at and it was something I didn’t see worth discussing. “C’mon, hubby, you know it’s rude to ask something like that. You got gifts and that’s all that matters.”
“Xylina.”
“Just because I was cut off from Daddy’s money doesn’t mean anything. I made money from brand deals, remember? Since I never had a reason to touch it, it piled up. It’s no big deal.” I waved him off.
He still didn’t look convinced. “I didn’t want you to empty your account just to celebrate my birthday.”
Butterflies erupted in my stomach knowing he was worried about me. It felt good to have someone care about my well-being. Smiling, I moved over to him and straddled his lap.
“You like this position, huh?” He gripped my hips.
“I do. Makes me feel like I’m in control.
” I planted my hands on his shoulders. “I appreciate you being concerned but you don’t have to be.
Plus I have a hot, rich husband who gave me access to unlimited funds again; so we’re all good.
” I moved in and kissed him. “It’s nice to know you know your wife isn’t meant to be in the lower-class population. ”
“Not how I would put it, but I can agree. I don’t think you would do well in the working class.”
“Right! I’m Xylina Bedford! It doesn’t even sound right. Can you imagine what my friends would think? I’m the most influential person they know. Moral of the story, just enjoy the gifts and be happy your wife is a great gift giver, okay?”
“A’right I’ll let it go, but there’s something else I want to talk about.”
I grinded against him. “Is it us finally christening the house? There’s no staff here so we have free reign to start here and move around the house.”
“As good as that sounds, I want to discuss something first. The crying last night.”
I paused. “I told you it was nothing.”
“Call me crazy but I don’t believe you.”
Rolling my eyes, I went to move off his lap but he held me in place. “I let it go then, but now let’s talk about it.”
I sighed. “When did you become so chatty? I’m kind of missing when you used to ignore me.”
He stared blankly at me. I knew he wouldn’t let it go. My skin began to prickle and tighten.
“Fine,” I groaned. “I got a little emotional because that was the first time you’d embraced me like that during sex.
I told you sex is how I connect and I never felt it with you because…
well, most of the time it was like sex with me was a chore to you.
You didn’t cuddle me, barely touched me, and would leave soon as we finished.
I felt like I was the only one actually enjoying it, but last night it felt like you were too.
It felt good and caught me off guard. It’s not a big deal. ”
“Oh. I see.” He nodded slowly. He started massaging my ass cheeks. “A chore? That’s what you thought.”
I shrugged. “I always came so I wasn’t upset per se. However, it did feel good knowing you weren’t a robot and could show emotions.” I snickered. “I mean who knew you were so thorough when it comes to pleasing your partner.” Again, my hips moved against him.
That brought a chuckle out of him. “So what you’re saying is I have a lot to make up for?”
I grinned. “You said it, not me.” Moving in, I kissed him again.
Now that Yosiah had given me a sample of what he was capable of, I felt myself turning into an even bigger sex fiend than I had been before.
I had been so backed up from the years of neglect and now it was all pouring out and coming to the surface.
“I’m man enough to admit I could have handled things better over the years and I’m sorry for being so neglectful to your needs.”
His apology struck a vibrant chord inside me. My pulse quivered in my veins. My heart felt as if it would burst. I kissed him again, this time more eager than before. Yosiah freely gave into my hungered kiss and it exploded through my veins, making my blood heat.
I didn’t want to get greedy because I didn’t want to wake up and feel like all this was just a tease and things went back to how they were between the two of us before, but I couldn’t help it. The more affection Yosiah gave, the more I couldn’t help but take.
Just as our kiss started to heat up, a vibration from Yosiah’s pants pocket gained my attention. One of his hands left my side and moved to grab it.
“Give me a second, baby,” he said, as if it was the most natural thing. It was the first time he’d addressed me as such causing a shock to surge up my spine.
“Hey, Mama,” he answered.
I tried to school my face not to ball up. Yosiah loved his mom, but she caused me to break out in hives.
To bring the focus back to me and what we had going on, I moved in and nuzzled my face into his neck. My hand went to his dick and I stroked it through his pants. Undoing the button and lowering the zipper, I bit the corner of my bottom lip seeing the bulge growing in his briefs.
Yosiah grabbed my wrist when I went to grab the rim of his briefs.
He furrowed his brows and shook his head while still talking to his mom.
Poking my bottom lip out, I didn’t accept that.
He had already spoken to his mom today. With all the birthday calls and texts he’d been receiving, I’d shared his attention enough.
Snatching my hand from his hold, I went back to remove him from his briefs.
“See you in a few hours, Mama.” That caused me to pause.
Yosiah finally hung up and tossed his phone to the side. “You’re going to your parents’ tonight? I thought we could finish celebrating your birthday together since we go back to the real world tomorrow.”
“We’re going to my parents tonight.” My frown deepened. “It’s a tradition for my parents to throw me a birthday dinner and she was calling to verify the time.”
“Oh. I guess that makes sense. But what’s with this we’re thing? You never invite me to anything with your parents.”
“And that was wrong of me. I don’t know the direction our marriage will take but I do want to be better as your husband.”
“Really?”
He pulled my body closer to his. “What can I say? You’re growing on me.
We only have a few months left in this contract and we can decide if we’re going to divorce or not.
I realized I haven’t put any effort into this marriage.
I’m going to give these next couple months a fair shot so we can determine if this marriage is worth continuing. ”
I was shocked by his confession. It wasn’t the heartfelt confession I’d hoped for, but it did show I was wearing him down and that was better than nothing.
“And what brought this on?” I asked slowly.
He brushed his hand down my arm. “Seeing your unguarded side caused me to look at you differently. You’re not just the airheaded, superficial woman I always thought you were.”
My eyes narrowed. “Thanks. I think.”
Yosiah chuckled and curled his hand into my hair.
“All I’m saying is, after being forced into marrying you and only seeing that person, it’s nice to know that’s not all you can be.
You’re more than a pretty face and I never realized how big your social media presence was or how much people were influenced by you.
I thought all you did was take pictures all day because you were full of yourself but you were working in your own way.
My assistant is back, but before then, you helped keep things organized for me when I didn’t know I needed it or ask. ”
Since I was never one to give up, eventually I knew he would start seeing things my way, and by my birthday, the word divorce wouldn’t even be in his vocabulary anymore.
