10. Daisy

Chapter 10

Daisy

I was walking through the woods at the base of the falls, the rush of water growing louder as I came closer to the river. I knew I was dreaming but I didn’t care.

Jace was here. I could feel him, knew he was waiting for me.

The trees were lush and green like they were in summer, the night air a warm caress on my skin. A full moon shone in the night sky, casting warm light over the surrounding forest, strangely silent.

I left it behind, breaking through the tree line onto the riverbank. The falls roared over the cliff, spilling into the deep swimming hole at its base before feeding into the Blackwell River.

And there was Jace, just like I’d known he’d be.

He was naked in the water, his sculpted body glowing in the moonlight, the ink on his chest a shadow in the half light. He seemed even bigger than I remembered, his shoulders broad enough to hold up the world, his biceps as big as the trunks on some of the trees I’d passed on the way to the river.

His waist narrowed to a flat stomach, and in my dream there was nothing strange about the fact that Jace — dead for almost three months — was naked and waiting for me at the base of the falls. There was nothing strange about the fact that he was hard, his pierced dick jutting between his muscular thighs. Nothing strange about the fact that after months without him, all I wanted was to take him inside me.

To be occupied by him.

He didn’t say anything but I knew he wanted me too, could see it in the heat of his gaze as I stripped off my shorts and tank top and walked naked into the water. I didn’t feel it on my skin. I knew I was in the water, but it wasn’t like in the waking world, where I might have gasped from the cold, where I would have felt the smooth river stones under my bare feet.

All I felt was the magnetic pull to Jace.

Then he was right in front of me, his body an inch from mine. He pulled me into his arms, and this I felt: the heat of his naked body as my tits were smashed against his chest, the press of his dick, hard and insistent against my stomach.

He held my face in his hands and I sank into his kiss, relief flooding my body. Jace wasn’t dead after all.

Not here in my dream.

Here he was warm and alive, his tongue dancing with mine, his hands strong on my face. He smelled like river water and wood smoke.

Like Jace.

I slid my hands up his chest, relished the slide of his skin under my palm. I wrapped my arms around his neck and arched into him, the hunger pulsing at my center blooming as he lifted me off the ground.

I wrapped my legs around his hips and gasped when his cock brushed against my pussy.

He broke the kiss and looked into my eyes. “I fucking miss you, Daisy.”

And now I was even more sure it was a dream because Jace had used my name instead of calling me princess.

“I miss you too.” My cheeks were wet with tears.

“Don’t cry, princess. I’m here.” He kissed me again. “I’m always here.”

I didn’t have a chance to tell him it was a lie, that he wasn’t always here, that his absence was the only thing I knew was true, and I knew it because I’d been walking around with a hole in my heart to prove it.

I didn’t have a chance to say any of that because he sank into me all at once, his cock pushing through my wet cunt until he was buried all the way inside me.

“Jace…”

My arms were still locked around his neck, my legs wrapped around his hips as we became one, joined at the center.

He held on to my ass and I used his shoulders to lift off his dick, then sink onto him again. I felt like the sky before a summer storm, when the clouds brewed all day, pressure building until the first bolt of lightning cracked through the air, rain pouring like a baptism.

I wanted to make it last, never wanted it to end, but I’d been without him for too long. I was ready to come, and I worked the friction on my clit as he impaled me over and over again, my sensitive nipples rubbing against his chest while his tongue invaded my mouth.

Was I still dreaming?

I must have been. I had to be. But he felt so real. I felt every thrust to my core, felt the orgasm blossoming at my center, felt the way he picked up the pace, matching my rhythm as I worked to come.

“Come for me, princess. I’ve missed feeling you come so fucking much.”

I tipped into it all at once, crying out as I came, clinging to him as my body shuddered, and then he was coming too, filling me with his hot semen, thrusting viciously into me the way only he could until we were both gasping and my body was limp in his arms.

He was still inside me when he tipped his forehead against mine. His eyes burned green like the trees that surrounded the river, and when he spoke, his voice was guttural and pained. “I see you.”

I woke all at once, the ceiling in my room coming into view through the dark. I hadn’t been asleep very long — I’d left Wolf and Otis downstairs playing video games when I’d gone to bed, and I could still hear the faint sound of them in the living room — but it had been long enough to have a dream about Jace.

My cunt pulsed, like I’d come in my sleep, and my cheeks were wet with tears.

I see you .

I grabbed one of the pillows Wolf or Otis used when they came to bed and clutched it to my chest, then rolled onto my side. When I closed my eyes, I swear I could still smell river water and wood smoke.

I swear I could still smell Jace.
