31. Author’s Love Letter

My flabbers are gasted! Another book and I am forever grateful to every single person who has finished this story. I hope you all understand that Isadora had some huge intrusive thoughts. They barged in at the most unexpected moments, which was something I could resonate with. Last year, and the previous year, were one of the toughest for me. I found my thoughts were riddled with awful ideas, and none of them were pretty.

I was fortunate to have a powerful circle that helped me through all of that. Isadora only had herself, and I think that’s what made her journey even more difficult for me. While the steamy scenes poured out of me like water, emotionally, I was deeply invested in the characters. When Isadora hurt, so did I.

I hope that you all find something in this tale for yourselves. Whether that be questioning getting out of bed, thinking that you aren’t worth it anymore, or any other horrible thoughts and ideas, that may run rampant through your mind. This story is for you, and I humbly thank you for reading it.

To my team, I absolutely could not breathe without every one of you. Marcelus, this was a time when your energy matched my own. I feel like we have worked so hard, and hustled so strong, that we are bound for even more amazing things.

Thank you so much, Vanessa. I can’t believe what a hidden gem you are. I truly don’t want to share you with anyone else, however I will. Because you deserve it. Thank you so much for being the most amazingly brilliant person to work with. For your fast response time, and your calm in the sea of my chaos. You easily pivot, no matter what, and are a tremendous asset to this team.

Tanesha, I think every time I speak to you; you are gassing me up. Sometimes I’m kicking my feet, but other times, I cannot help how deeply touched I am to have you as a friend. I know that as we go into the new year, it is going to be amazing. I’m speaking it into existence. Thank you so much for always supporting me, and being the best gal pal this author could ever have.

Bria, would I have even finished the book if it weren’t for you? Probably not as quickly. I don’t think I’ve ever had a right-hand person before, that I truly felt supported my goals and ideas. You have kept me organized and on track. I can’t put into words how grateful I am. I also am patting myself on the back for stalking you hard, and winning you on my team. Thank you so much for your amazing job. I can’t wait to see what we get up to next.

Let’s meet again in Kaida and Makari’s story. I can say with certainty, it’s only going to get worse from here. I hope you all enjoyed the reprieve.

Xoxo,

Selena Michaels
