Chapter One Tavian “Trill” Carter #3

Me and this nigga is on the same level when it comes to this street shit.

He leads his organization, and I lead mine.

We bumped heads when it came down to territory.

Everybody want to be fuckin king but there was only one spot.

So, for as long as I can remember we went back and forth about the shit.

He likes to think that we are neck and neck, but I like to think ain’t no nigga out here fuckin with me and my crew. Numbers don’t lie.

I despised their ass because I have good reasoning to believe that they are the reason that Ice got jammed up in the first place. Hating ass niggas that want to see us fall, thinking that is the only way they can have some solidification in these streets.

I never cared for Londyn’s ass from the jump.

But now that she has gone and done the unthinkable, I really don’t have shit for her ass.

She needs to pick a fuckin side and stay there.

I don’t know how she plans to go about the shit.

Being that she has a baby by that nigga Dre, he’s not going to walk out her life willingly.

If I was Ice, I would let him have the hoe.

He stepped in front of Dre like he was bulletproof or some shit. I stood in front of Ice the same way. Knowing the nigga didn’t need anyone to fight his battles. I just had to let the nigga know what type of time we’re on.

“You stepping into this motherfuckin section won’t change shit. If she wants to go with that nigga then so be it, if she doesn’t it’s in all y’all best interest to get the fuck on. I ain’t come here for no fuckin problems but I ain’t got no problem solving one. I’m on whatever the fuck y’all on”

“I love the fact that the sight of me makes your fuckin blood boil. So obviously me stepping into this shit changed a whole lot of shit. “

The nigga was so full of himself the shit is ridiculous.

What he thought he brought me was intimidation.

Nigga was so far off. I could care less about the motherfucker, but I won’t be bitched, nor will my team.

He’s so gung-ho on making us be beneath him that he can’t even see they ain’t hitting on shit.

I got all in his face because I wanted him to know I meant business.

Dre’s irritation grew with every passing second.

No longer being able to handle Londyn choosing Ice over him in front of all his people.

Him and his bruised ass ego stormed into the section to pull her out just as the exclaimed he would.

She just didn’t want to go. Causing Ice to have the same hold on her as Dre.

“Alright bitch, I see you think I’m something to play with”, Dre said.

He reached in his jeans and retrieved his gun.

Without thinking twice, he began letting off shots.

Every street nigga in attendance already knew what the fuck to do.

That’s either start bussing back or take fucking cover.

Because I didn’t know if the nigga was aiming at Ice or Londyn I had to protect mines.

As soon as shots began to ring out people began to disburse like roaches did when the lights come on.

As long as I had eyes on my people, I was good, but I still had to cover my back and theirs.

We weren’t going to stop bussing until those niggas did.

We were trying to make our way out of the section to get out of the damn club.

“Let that bitch go Ice!!”, I instructed.

That nigga too uptight about a bitch that’s going. Let him have her. She ain’t worth all this damn commotion she’s causing. These niggas were really in here trying to kill one another about her ass.

Amid all the commotion the women that were in the section beside us got caught up in the chaos.

Everybody was in a stampede trying to get the fuck out of dodge.

Ice did as I told him and let Londyn’s hand go but she was refusing to leave his side.

This bitch is causing all type of unwarranted issues.

Shots were still ringing out as I noticed the thick chick from earlier now by herself in a state of confusion.

Not knowing which way to go led her directly in my path.

She didn’t know where to turn and it was evident that she was lost from her friends.

As I made my way through the crowd still bussing back in an effort to stay protected, I grabbed her hand and pulled her along.

“No! I’m not going anywhere with you…you might be a fuckin killer for all I know”

“I might be”, I said nonchalantly.

Ignoring every fucking thing that she was saying because I was trying to protect her ass. Here she was trying to be stubborn when her life was at risk.

“Either you stay in this motherfucker and risk being a casualty or you let this killer get you to safety. I don’t have to kidnap your ass for shit. A bitch ain’t shit to get and your ass ain’t all that for me to go to the extreme to have you”

That one little statement caused her pride to take a hit.

I wasn’t trying to be a hateful ass nigga, but it was the way that she was acting like she was Beyonce or somebody.

She looks good but her ass ain’t what she thinks she is.

The shit must’ve landed exactly where it needed to because she no longer was putting up a fight.

Nico, Ice, and Mazi was bussing shots like we were in the middle of the taliband.

“Argggghh”, I heard Dre holler out as he held his arm.

He was hit and I knew then it was time to get the fuck out of dodge. I still had a good grip on Ms. Stubborn ass’s hand.

“Exit back here”, Mazi said.

We all followed him as he led the way. We were at the back entrance of the club, right by the grass-line. It was calm and quiet around back, but our cars were around the front.

“I’m going to go scope the scene out before we head to our cars”, Nico said.

I guess Ms. Thang felt a little safer because she let my hand go. I said nothing and just observed her as she retrieved her phone from her purse.

“You know where your people at?”, I asked her.

“No, I’m about to try to call them now “

I watched as her phone powered off; the battery died as soon as she unlocked it.

“Damn!”

“Alright, looks like they left because a couple of them were hit. they trying to go get checked out and shit so for now we need to get the fuck on”

“Bet”, I responded.

We headed in the direction of our vehicles.

I looked back to see if she was going to tag along or wait.

I didn’t feel the need to ask, she knew exactly what that stare meant.

She stood there for a couple of seconds, as if she was contemplating whether she wanted to go or not.

Not having many choices to choose from, she decided to tag along.

I grabbed her hand again, because it seems like that was the only time she felt safe.

We did a light jog to get to my Scat. I opened the door for her and within seconds we were peeling off from the parking lot. She looked defeated as she crossed her arms and began to rub her forearms. I know that she must be worried sick, thinking about where her friends are.

I removed my phone from my pocket and handed it to her.

“Call your people”

She looked at me before accepting it. I watched as she began to dial the number. When her friend answered on the first ring, I saw the relief on her face instantly.

“Where are you? Who are you with? How did we lose you?”, I overheard her friend rambling off questions.

“I’m with..”

It didn’t dawn on her that she didn’t know my name until now.

“Trill”, I said in a low baritone.

“I’m with Trill. He helped me get out of that chaotic situation. Where are y’all?”

“Can you meet them at Pine I am really able to see her beauty for what it is.

Her brown skin was gorgeously smooth. Her cheek bones giving away that perfect dimple in her left cheek.

The hair on her head could’ve easily been mistaken for tracks but that shit was coming directly from her scalp.

And what made her ass go all the way up on the scale was the set of pearly white teeth that she possessed.

It’s not too many women that can rock their natural hair and still look good.

She had the shit in the bag, I can admit that.

She used her left hand to swipe a hair away from her face.

It was then I noticed the ring on her ring finger.

I swallowed the lump in my throat and proceeded to drive.

For some reason, the shit slightly bothered me.

I just racked my brain trying to figure out why.

“Why did you help me?”, she turned to me and asked.

“I know I’m not the brightest crayon in the box but if I’m not mistaken, weren’t you a damsel in distress? I’m just the killer that was trying to lend a helping hand”

She laughed lightly.

“Are you always this sarcastic?”

“Probably as often you are stubborn to be honest”

She laughed for real this time, and I couldn’t help but join.

“How your husband going to feel about you being in the car with a killer and shit?”

“Fiancé actually... and I don’t know. He might be happy that you possibly saved my life”

I just nodded my head. My phone began to ring through my car speakers. Alerting us both. I looked down at the radio to see who was calling, I saw that it was my on again, off again jump off. I immediately became annoyed. The bitch timing is always fucked up.

“Oh, I forgot I had your phone. Keisha’s calling”

I guess now it was her turn to be sarcastic. I took the phone from her and rejected the call. The smirk on her face told me that she felt as if she had one up on me in this moment. I’ll let her ass have that.
