Chapter 10

Agent Murphy

Was I a human who liked to go slow?

“I don’t want or need to go slow with you, but you have to let me know what you’re thinking too.” This was not all about me no matter what his instincts seemed to tell him. “Is my staying over a good thing, something you’re not ready for, or neutral?”

Doing my best to phrase the options so they wouldn’t lead him one way or the other, I continued rubbing his back and snuggled him closer. Klynn made a soft, breathy almost-sigh that was probably supposed to tell me a lot if I’d been raised on this side of the portal.

He didn’t seem to be in any hurry to move away from me, though, so I took the sound as a good sign and let him process. My boy was either thinking hard about something or just couldn’t make up his mind, but I wasn’t going to start randomly guessing which yet.

“I must show you my things if you stay.” That seemed to have a great deal of meaning to him based on the way he started slowly running his fingers over my chest, but I didn’t have enough context clues. “That is an important step in a relationship.”

Things…toy things?

He’d already admitted that he was curious about the little side of BDSM, so it wasn’t that far of a leap.

“We take steps when we’re ready for them.

If you want us to spend time together tonight but aren’t ready for showing me things, I can have dinner here or with you somewhere else while we hang out and then we can go back to my place to cuddle. ”

Had he given me any clues about where he wanted to sleep later?

Had I given him any indications about that?

“I will feed you here.” Still petting me, Klynn didn’t seem to have any hesitation about that decision. “We will explore your ability to use our cooking facilities another time.”

Good because they looked daunting and I didn’t have any food at all in my place.

Everyone had taken turns inviting me places, so I wasn’t sure they’d thought about teaching me to fend for myself.

It was probably that treating me like a toddler mentality because I knew the others that’d come through the gate with me weren’t being treated the same way.

They’d gotten complete tours of their apartments and had fully stocked kitchens with things they really couldn’t identify.

So yeah, I wasn’t sure which of us had the better deal.

Wren had tried to make what he’d thought had been a pasta product and the results hadn’t been appetizing.

Evidently it was baby food that broke down when any liquid was added to it.

We were pretty sure it was a miscommunication about the age play thing and not anyone deliberately fucking with him, but he’d stopped doing all experimenting in the kitchen.

“Thank you for taking care of me, baby.” No, I had the better deal when it came to food. “You’ve been a good teacher so far.”

Oh, he liked that.

I got the barest of squirms and he turned to hide his face against my neck. “That…that is an important part of my role in the domination culture.”

Kissing his head, I focused on the way he was moving and the subtle shifts in his tone instead of just his words. “I think that’s a part of domination culture that you like and that you’re going to be good at.”

Bingo.

He made a low, pleased sound and even nodded for me. “My role also requires I answer your questions honestly if I am not going to safeword.”

“That’s right.” He liked roles and rules, so I used that as my framework. “And my role is to take care of you in other ways, like supporting you and taking care of you emotionally and when you’re little.”

Oh yes.

He went completely still and even the tiniest strokes to my chest had stopped.

I wasn’t sure if they thought that was a subtle way of expressing themselves or not, but it spoke volumes to me whenever it happened.

This time it seemed to be about acknowledging the elephant in the room or maybe the dragon with secrets in the room.

Well, not exactly secret from me, but his little side definitely wasn’t something he’d ever talked about with anyone else.

“Yes.” Being carefully neutral with the word, Klynn kept his face pressed tight against my neck. “Those are the main points of your role, although, you will not have to discipline me for dangerous or extensively rude behavior. I am not what would be termed a brat.”

Oh, he was going to have his moments, but he thought of himself as a good boy, so we’d go with that. “No, you’re going to be my good boy. You understand the rules and have been very good at communicating with me, and you’ve already started standing up for me.”

He might be submissive under specific circumstances but he was still a predator and I wasn’t going to forget that.

I’d done enough research on dragons to know that the submissive ones could be dangerously insane when something they were protecting had been threatened. There were several truly dark stories that the government hadn’t understood until someone had thought to explain submission.

Somehow they’d thought submissive meant nonthreatening.

They were idiots.

“I have researched extensively but I understand we will have additional rules.” Klynn was back on familiar conversational footing, so his fingers went back to petting my chest. “The culture around domination-based relationships encourages that to promote bonding between Dominants and submissives.”

I liked the idea of bonding with him but I wasn’t stupid.

I was a bit of an ostrich but not a complete moron.

“I think making rules for the two of us sounds like a wonderful plan.” Still keeping my touch on the more innocent side, I turned my head and kissed his cheek. “And I think taking care of you as a Daddy would be wonderful too.”

Oh, more thinking stillness.

It only lasted for a handful of seconds that time, though.

“You have already indicated an understanding of the Daddy lifestyle.” Klynn might’ve been reciting a fact or reminding himself that I was okay with him being little, but either way, I nodded. “There are many variations of that lifestyle, however.”

Were we finally making progress on the details of what he wanted?

“Yes. I’ve never had my own little, but I’ve met some in social situations.

The binkies and bottles littles were cute and the older ones who wanted to play and color and watch cartoons were fun.

” I’d just never met one I’d clicked with on a personal level.

“Oh, and I met a couple where one guy is the Daddy and he had a middle…an older little but not one that always acted like a full grown-up sub.”

“I have heard about those but have not found any books about them yet.” Klynn’s explanation sounded almost clinical, so I didn’t think he connected with that one personally. “They play video games. I will have to see if my reading device has any stories about them.”

Lorne seemed to have collected stories on everything, so Klynn would probably find something interesting.

“I’m glad that’s given you so much information and the ability to research.

” I wasn’t going to ask why the regular internet hadn’t been helpful because I was pretty sure the answer itself would be unhelpful, but he loved his books and they were helping him figure out his own needs.

“It makes it easier for me because I don’t have to worry about shocking you or confusing you. ”

We’d already talked around this part before, but reinforcing it seemed like a good idea. “I have no idea how I’d take care of baby Klynn, though, so you might have to show me the versions of bottles you use.”

He gave me the faintest nod but that was better than silence and stillness, so I kissed his head. “You’re going to be my good helper in figuring all of this out. Daddies don’t really like feeling stupid, so I’m going to need a lot of information up front. I know you can do that, though.”

Was that too assumptive?

Too manipulative?

“My role…my role requires I provide you with a variety of information.” He didn’t seem to like that but he accepted it as his lot in life. “You are also unfamiliar with our everyday objects of that sort.”

Oh yeah.

Wait.

Did that mean he was a bottles and binkie kind of little?

“I don’t even know what kind of toys people play with here.

I haven’t seen any.” At least, I didn’t think I had.

“Most of the council people I’ve been talking to are too old to have young children and no one talks about grandkids.

The closest things I’ve seen to babies are the younger kids who follow the people of Earth around. ”

They were old enough to be able to wander around the interior of the town unsupervised, but I’d seen one get his ass chewed for trying to let himself out into the area around the town. So what appeared like kids running completely amuck didn’t seem to be as dangerous as it looked.

“Most people with babies and toddlers live in a forested area while their children are young. The area around the portal is a harsh environment.” Klynn seemed to find that topic easier to discuss.

I half expected him to use it to jump to another topic but he didn’t like backing down.

“I…I can show you what some of our toys look like if you are interested.”

Were they his toys or would we end up going shopping?

“I’d like that.” Sighing dramatically, I did my best to sound slightly ridiculous but not dragon-level pouting. “I probably can’t interact with them either. Do you have the baby version of toys or slightly older? I can probably make the baby stuff work.”

Had that been a laugh?

Klynn let out a slightly choppy breath that seemed to be a laugh. “You were very brave and turned on the privacy settings, so I’m sure you can make toys function properly.”

“Ugh. There’s a proper way to get them to function. They’re magic too.” These people needed to learn to appreciate how to do things by hand once in a while. “How magic? Am I going to look stupid?”
