Chapter Thirty

“I’m going to crush you,” Karim said the second Julien had disappeared behind the door in the back of the bar. He pulled out his phone.

It was Friday, and they were at The Last Drop for drinks. Luis laughed and reached for his own phone in his pocket. “When you’re down fifty-seven points? I’d love to see how.”

Karim rolled his eyes and started tapping at his phone. Luis left him to it, scanning the bar idly.

It was a mistake. He accidentally made eye contact with a man who’d been leaning on the far wall, sipping a drink. He was tall, dark, and handsome. He smiled at Luis, one brow quirking in question.

His face reacted before he meant it to. Luis looked away, but it was too late. The man pushed off the wall and started in his direction.

Luis cursed under his breath.

“Hm?” Karim asked, but eyes were on the phone.

“Hey, I’m Marcus,” the man said when he got to Luis. He was dark skinned and even more handsome up close. “Can I buy you a drink?”

Karim’s head jerked up. He took in Luis, then Marcus, and bristled with anger. “Hey, fuck off buddy, this one’s mine.”

Both brows went up, and Marcus stepped back. He held up one hand in a peace gesture, scooping his drink back up with the other. “Oh, hey man, didn’t mean to offend! Didn’t know he was taken, sorry. Have a good night.”

And just like that, Marcus left.

But Luis was suddenly having trouble getting a breath in his lungs. The memory of last time, of Eric’s bright white teeth and that stupid smile of his was suddenly choking him.

Luis reached for his drink with a shaking hand and stopped. What if it was drugged? What if–?

“Hey,” Karim was suddenly around the table and standing next to him. “Hey, it’s okay. Breathe Luis.”

A warm hand slipped into Luis’s, the other wrapping around his back.

“It’s okay,” Karim said, a sure and steady presence at his side.

His lungs unlocked and he got a breath in. It was okay. It was okay. Karim was here; he wouldn’t let anything happen.

“I’ve got you, you’re safe,” Karim said. And as Luis tilted his head up, he could see Karim scanning the bar in a bulldogish stance. It loosened the tension in Luis’s chest.

“Sorry,” Luis got out, “guess I’m still a little jumpy.”

“Anyone would be.” The arm around him squeezed and Luis melted into his side. “But I’ve got you,” Karim said, bending to drop a kiss to his temple, “No one’s going to hurt you anymore.”

Luis believed him.

“Let’s go home,” Karim said when Julien returned.

Only Julien had had a drink so far, but the man looked between the two of them, how Karim was still stuck to Luis’s side, and just said, “I’ll get the bill,” and turned to find the nearest server.

“Hey I’m fine, we don’t have to go,” Luis said. “You need to eat.”

“I can eat at home.” Karim coaxed Luis onto his feet. “Besides, there’s something more fun that we can do there. Something that if I try here, we’ll get banned for public indecency and Julien will be pissed.”

Luis faltered, and didn’t miss in his peripheral as Julien swiveled his head to look back at them.

“I think he heard you,” Luis said.

“Good, that was the idea,” Karim said, arm around Luis as he started to guide him out of the bar. “Need everyone to get in on my new plan.”

Luis snorted, but didn’t fight it as he was guided out.

Since they’d let the pressure out the prior week, Karim had been insatiable. Not that Luis was complaining. He’d been making the drive over after work, in the small hours every night, to see them.

There’d been talking and boundary exploration and a lot, a lot of kissing.

Which was what they did the second Karim had him outside, turning and pushing Luis against the brick exterior. He was glad then that Karim hadn’t had a drink yet.

“Not here,” came Julien’s accented tones. They broke apart to find his disapproving look. “Car, now,” he ushered.

Luis got the keys out of his pocket as Karim pulled him quickly toward the parking lot. Julien plucked the keys right out of his hands.

“I’ll drive,” Julien said. “You two in the back, I can tell he’s going to be a problem.”

“What?” Karim said with faux offense that made Luis laugh.

Then Luis was being all but tackled into the backseat and kissed again. “Ka–mmf– we have to buckle.”

But Karim ignored that, kissing down to Luis’s neck while his hands roved over Luis’s clothes. “You’re ours, aren’t you?” Karim whispered, low and heavy.

Luis shivered. Oh. So that was what this was about.

“Karim, seatbelt,” Julien said as he got in the driver’s seat.

Karim blew out a breath, but backed off, helping Luis up to sitting. “Fine,” he grumped, and did his own belt as Luis fumbled with his own.

He’d gone from panic to arousal in no time flat, and his body was thrumming with adrenaline. He clicked his belt, feeling the weight of Karim’s attention.

They couldn’t get home fast enough.

By the time Julien pulled the car into the driveway, Luis was achingly hard. Karim had decided to put a hand on his thigh and tease him the entire drive, thumb tracing over the shape of Luis’s cock with agonizing softness.

He’d tried to keep the sounds in, but caught Julien’s knowing expression several times in the rearview mirror.

“We’re home,” Julien said, voice thick with amusement as he parked.

Karim had the belt off and was out of the car before Luis could do anything. His door opened and then he was unbuckled and drawn out before Karim kissed him.

“Inside,” Julien directed.

They managed up the walk and in, but barely. Karim kissed him again the second they were inside.

“Darling, you are not going to fuck him in the foyer,” Julien said as he locked the door. “Let’s go up to the bedroom, I need to wash my mouth out anyway.”

Luis laughed and pulled away, following Julien as he started toward the stairs. Karim dogged their steps, grumbling about propriety.

“You know,” Luis said at the top of the stairs, “If you’re thirsty, you could both bite me.”

It felt bold to say it, to offer it, but he was slowly becoming used to telling them what he wanted. They made it easy to be himself and to ask for things.

And tonight, Luis wanted to have them close again, wanted that pleasure-pain of teeth in his neck. It was too soon to justify it as treatment, so this one would be just for him. For the enjoyment of it.

Karim grabbed him instead of answering, but a hand on both their backs kept them marching.

“I call first,” Karim said against the back of his neck. Luis almost stumbled from how close he was.

“Luis?” Julien prompted, a clear check-in.

Luis laughed, turning as he got to their door. Karim was there, fanged smile and eyes alight as he walked Luis backward into the room. “Works for me,” he finally answered when the backs of his knees touched the bed.

Instead of pushing him down like Luis expected, Karim took a seat and then yanked Luis down into his lap.

“Demanding today,” Luis teased.

Karim grunted, one hand moving Luis’s curls off his neck. They’d gotten long and needed cutting, but Luis hadn’t gotten to it. Or maybe he enjoyed the way both of them touched them, played with them.

“I didn’t like the way he looked at you,” Karim said, the thumb finding Luis’s pulse that immediately sped up. “You’re ours.”

“Did someone harass you two?” Julien asked from the bathroom. There were sounds of him washing out his mouth.

“No,” Luis said. “I think the guy was genuine. Left as soon as Karim snapped at him.”

“Karim,” Julien chided.

“What? Luis doesn’t need any more attention at bars.” Karim was stepping around saying exactly what had happened, and Luis was grateful.

Julien sighed as he finished and returned to the bedroom. “Fine.” Then his attention turned to Luis. “A drink might also help calm his possessiveness,” he said with a sly smile.

There were hot, molten butterflies in Luis’s stomach.

“Well, we should… do that,” Luis said, breathy as Karim pulled him in tighter, tilting his head.

“Fuck, you always smell so good, taste so good,” Karim said against his throat.

The moment jerked Luis’s memory to the bickering they used to do when Karim would get in the car.

“I thought I smelled like shit,” Luis said with a smile.

Karim huffed hot against his throat, the fangs grazing his sensitive skin. “Don’t be stupid,” he mouthed.

He bit then and Luis groaned. There was the now-familiar flush of blood, followed by the heat and pain before the pleasure washed in. They’d had some version of sex every night this week, a few with light scenes directed by Julien, but none of them had involved biting.

Luis was realizing now how much he was looking forward to this. A bite plus what came after. It was an extra closeness, a headier thrum of pleasure he wasn’t sure he could experience any other way.

Plus, it did something to him knowing they were tasting him, enjoying him in the truest sense of the word.

He shivered at the next suck, his hips starting to move, grinding down against Karim.

“Time,” Julien said.

Karim pulled back with a gravel groan, licking at Luis’s neck. Then his head was being turned and Julien was there, kissing him, licking the taste from his mouth.

Luis cursed.

When they parted, Julien’s expression had darkened. He looked a little like he did after biting Luis.

“I think I–” Julien touched his mouth, his eyes on Luis. “I might wait; I don’t want to compromise myself too much.”

“Compromise yourself and what? You’d want to fuck him? That could be on the table if you’d just ask,” Karim said, blunt as ever. It sounded like they’d had the conversation before.

“I–I’d be interested,” Luis spit out.

Despite all the sex, he hadn’t yet been fucked by either of them yet. They’d still been, in some aspects, taking it slow.

But he’d been thinking about it. Being that close, having them inside him.

Tonight suddenly felt perfect.

“I want it,” Luis corrected under their twin gazes. “I’ve been thinking about it.”

Julien looked intent, serious, but Karim’s smile widened lasciviously. “You heard the man.”
