10. Chapter Ten #2
By the time my dragon and I had shown them everything there was to see of Dragon City and cooled off a few volatile tempers by ‘accidentally’ using my tail to knock the snow off the roof of a building onto the heads of two bickering dragons, it was time for phase two.
At least the arguing idiots had been laughing by the time they’d dug themselves out, their voices following us across the sky as one of them declared that the Goddess must have decided that they needed a time out.
My mates had found the whole thing amusing and laughed right along with me as we flew back to the house.
Instead of landing by our door, I landed near the cave entrance and shifted, gathering them in my arms to hug them in the moonlight. My nakedness didn’t phase Caspian one bit as he went up on tiptoes, rubbing his body against mine as he stretched to kiss me.
“Thank you for such a lovely tour,” Caspian said. “Dragon City is magnificent. There are so many places I long to see the inside of that I think a daytime tour will be in order once we’ve finished with the seaside village.”
Before I could answer he kissed me again, melting against me until I lifted him and rocked our bodies together.
“Your wish is my command,” I murmured when I set him back on his feet.
“All of them, or just that one?” the cheeky Seadragon dared to ask.
“Beware of what you ask for,” I replied, pressing a kiss to his forehead, “my dragon is mischievous and full of naughty ideas.”
Kes snickered, while Caspian dissolved into a fit of giggles.
“Are you ready to see the second half of tonight’s surprise?” I asked, hoping that Odem had followed the instructions I’d given him while simultaneously wishing I could have entrusted the task to anyone else but the brother most likely to give me shit about it later.
I guided them through the twisting maze of caverns to the hot springs to see that Odem had laid everything out exactly the way I’d requested.
Tall pillar candles with wildflower scents flickered, their tiny flames dancing along the wall and across the water.
Three robes lay folded neatly on a nearby ledge and the battery-operated movie projector I’d ordered and left for him to set up, was waiting on a tall, flat rock near the steaming spring.
“Whoa,” Kes breathed.
“Double whoa,” Caspian said, squeezing my hand as he drank in the sight.
“Why don’t we get these clothes off you now so we can get in,” I said, turning so I could unzip the heavy hoodie he’d pulled on.
Kes immediately started giggling, not that I had the faintest idea of why. Neither did Caspian it seems.
“You have to share the joke if you’re going to laugh like that,” Caspian insisted.
“There’s no joke,” Kes explained, flames heightening the faint blush that crept over his cheeks. “Just giggling about the way you fussed at him to dress warm only so you could turn around and strip him naked.”
“He’s not even close to naked yet,” I grumbled.
“Soon enough,” Kes said as he gracefully slid to his knees in front of Caspian, fingers catching his fuzzy sweatpants on the way down, so they wound up around Caspian’s ankles.
“Only because you are double teaming me now,” Caspian said, even as he raised his foot so Kes could tug his pant leg free.
“So.”
“So…” Caspian sputtered, “so…so if you’re helping undress me that means we get to strip you next.”
“Awe, and here I was planning a strip tease for you,” Kes shot back.
“H-how is that a fair choice?” Caspian grumbled, looking to me for confirmation of our mate’s treachery.
“I don’t know what to tell you,” I replied. “Either way, I win.”
Caspian’s mouth opened and closed as he stared at me like a startled guppy, while Kes finished removing his pants and socks and I stripped off his hoodie and t-shirt.
“There, all naked,” Kes declared as he straightened up.
Caspian narrowed his eyes at me, then turned to face Kes, arms crossed, bare foot tapping impatiently on the cave floor. “Fine. Now you owe me a strip tease.”
Kes shrugged and tugged a corner of his t-shirt up enough to flash a swath of rippling abs at us before covering them again. “There ya go, a strip of skin to tease you with,” he replied, grinning like a Cheshire Cat until I stalked over to him and picked him up.
“Get his clothes, Caspian,” I said.
Kes giggled, dangling a foot off the ground while Caspian shook his head, laughing now too.
“I think I like this version of a double team much better,” Caspian declared as he unbuttoned Kes’ jeans.
“Me too,” Kes replied.
Once he was finally naked, after I’d peeled his shirt up an inch at a time, kissing the skin I exposed, I sent them into the hot spring while I turned on the projector.
“Your love of animation inspired me,” I declared as I started the movie. “I scrolled through the movies you’ve streamed so far and was pleased to see that this one wasn’t among them.”
“The Little Mermaid!” Kes declared as the opening scene unfolded, showing seagulls flying across a stormy sky, before dipping low, to where the dolphins were leaping in and out of the water. “This is one of my favorites.”
“I’ve never seen it,” Caspian said as he wiggled lower in the water and let out a contented sigh.
“This will be a first for me too,” I said as I slipped into the hot spring between them and stretched my arms out. “The moment we saw the image on the screen my dragon insisted that we watch it here.”
They curled against my sides and as I wrapped my arms around them and held them close, I realized that they fit perfectly. The Goddess truly had made them just for me. I kissed the tops of their heads as we settled in to enjoy the story.
“You’re dragon has a romantic side,” Kes murmured before he kissed my cheek. “I love this. Thank you for tonight. I don’t care how many times I’ve watched The Little Mermaid, nothing will ever compare to this.”
“Best first date ever,” Caspian declared.
“It’s my first date too,” Kes said.
“Then this is a special first for all of us,” I declared as one lone fish escaped the boat’s net and frantically swam toward the bottom of the ocean on screen.
I’d set a high bar for myself in terms of dazzling my mates, but after the hell we’d all been through to get to this moment, it was a blessing to lounge in the steaming water and enjoy a cozy night alone with them.
