17. June
June
We stepped out of the booth, still giggling and straightening our clothes.
I could feel the heat radiating from my cheeks, a deep, tell tale blush I couldn’t hide.
My whole core was aching, a heavy restless throb that made my legs feel weak.
I had never wanted anything as much as I wanted Julian. If that woman hadn’t walked in…
I looked up at him, but he was already staring. The laughter had vanished from his face, replaced by a look I’d never seen before. Pure lust seeped from his dark eyes. Suddenly, I felt like prey under a hunter’s gaze, and the sensation made my legs instinctively squeeze shut in response.
Before I could process the shift, he moved. In one fluid motion, he threw me over his shoulder, hauling me up like I was a ragdoll. He smacked my ass firmly, the sting sending a jolt through me.
“I have an idea,” he whispered into my ear, his voice a low growl that made goosebumps erupt all over my skin.
There was something sinister in the air now, fuelled by an excitement that bordered on dangerous. Julian strode through the carnival with me hoisted over his shoulder. I was laughing through my useless protests, my hair thrashing in a wild blur.
Finally, he set me down, and I realised we were at the Ferris wheel.
It was later in the night now. Most of the families had cleared out, leaving the grounds to teenagers looking for trouble and adults chasing a thrill. The line was short, moving quickly towards the spinning wheel of lights. Julian grabbed my hand, yanking me forwards with a silent intensity.
The gate swung open. He effortlessly picked me up again, loading me into the small carriage and clicking the door shut. As the ride jerked into motion, we were plunged into the shadows of the carriage, the only light coming from the neon blur of the carnival below.
Wasting no time, Julian reached for me, pulling me onto his lap so I was straddling him. The carriage swayed softly, a slow, hypnotic rock that seemed to pulse in time with my heart. I looked down at him, my hands finding his shoulders for balance as we rose higher above the earth.
In the flickering, multi coloured light of the Ferris wheel, his face was a map of a war I didn’t understand.
Up close, the damage was undeniable. The dark purple swell of his black eye, the raw split on his lip that opened slightly as he panted, and the bruised, swollen knuckles that were now reaching for the raw hem of my dress.
I should have been horrified. I should have been asking again who did this to him, demanding to know why my poet looked like he’d crawled out of a cage fight.
But looking at the violence on his skin, I felt a sick, dizzying rush of desire.
It shouldn’t have been attractive. It shouldn’t have turned me on to see him so battered, so rough, but every mark on him felt like a testament to a world I so badly wanted him to let me into.
It made the air between us feel thick, illicit, and too heavy to breathe.
“Julian,” I whispered, my voice caught between a plea and a confession. I watched his bruised hand, the skin broken and red, hook into the fabric of my underwear and pull, a demanding, impatient tug that made my hips jerk forward.
“Look at me, June,” he commanded, his voice a low, gravelly vibration that I felt in my very bones.
I did. I looked down into the dark, swirling voids of his eyes.
He looked like a god of the underworld, his split lip curling into a predatory smirk as he watched the realisation of my own desire dawn on my face.
He knew. He knew that the sight of his bruised knuckles against my thighs was driving me over the edge.
He explored my mouth with his tongue, the taste of him bitter, sweet, and tinged with the faint, metallic hint of blood from his lip overwhelming my senses.
His hands claimed my body as if it were his favourite possession, his fingers rough and demanding as they toyed with me.
I could feel myself dripping between my legs, my body reacting to every touch of those battered fingers.
When his hand finally found the inside of my thighs, he let out a low, tortured groan. “You’re so wet for me, June. You’ve been thinking about this all night, haven’t you?”
“Yes…” I gasped, my head falling back as the carriage reached the peak of the wheel and paused, suspended in the cold night air.
“Tell me how much you want me,” he urged, his fingers continuing their torturous tease.
I was panting in broken breaths, my legs spreading instinctively as he continued to touch me, sending jolts of pleasure up my spine. “I want you,” I managed to sob out.
“Does it feel good, June? Tell me,” he urged.
“It feels… so good,” I panted. “I want more.”
“More? More of what?” he asked, his voice dripping with dark amusement. He pulled his hand away suddenly, sucking his bruised finger while staring me down in the dim, strobe like light of the carriage. “Pull your underwear all the way down.”
I did exactly as I was told, the urgency of the need overriding every shred of common sense and dignity I had left. He pushed my dress up, exposing my breasts to the cool night air. Then, he slid off the seat, kneeling on the floor of the small carriage between my legs.
“Such a pretty pussy,” he murmured, his voice thick as he kissed my inner thighs. I was trembling, my muscles twitching, hardly keeping it together. The sight of his black eye so close to my skin, the contrast of his violence against my softness, was a sensory overload I wasn’t prepared for.
“If I give you what you want, will you stop being so needy for me?” he teased, kissing higher and higher up my thigh as the Ferris wheel continued its slow, mocking spin.
The sudden rush of cool air was a shock to my sensitised skin. But the shock was instantly replaced by a stunned, silent scream as Julian’s hot tongue came down on me, devouring me like a starving animal.
I could hardly control myself. My legs twitched and shook, and my head flew back as raw moans escaped my lips.
I was overcome with complete ecstasy. I had never felt anything so intense in my life.
I had touched myself before, but this was different, this felt like a god between my legs, finally claiming what was his.
He spread my legs as wide as they would go in the cramped space, one hand reaching up to squeeze my breasts, torturing me with his tongue and the relentless, bruising pressure of his fingers.
“Julian… don’t stop… oh..my..god...,” I panted, my words broken. I tried to push his head back, my fingers tangling in his hair, but it only made him reposition, his tongue slipping inside me with a greedy, insatiable hunger.
That was it. The world exploded. I jerked and spasmed against him as a high, crashing wave of pleasure overtook me.
The orgasm was stunning, a ferocious release I wasn’t prepared for.
I stared out the Ferris wheel window at the blurred, colourful lights, my hands pulling at his hair as I rode out the best feeling in the world, suspended high above the chaos of the carnival.
When the ride finally shuddered to a stop and our carriage descended, my legs still hadn’t stopped shaking.
I felt heavy, my eyes glazed over as I tried to ground myself back in reality.
All I could do was look up at Julian in total shock and awe, my heart still hammering a frantic dance against my ribs.
He leaned down, catching my gaze, and pressed a slow, lingering kiss to my lips. “See how good you taste?” he breathed against my mouth, his voice dark and satisfied.
As we stood to leave the carriage, he reached out and tucked a stray lock of hair behind my ear, his bruised knuckles grazing my cheek one last time. “I love seeing you smile,” he said, his expression softening into something close to adoration. “It makes me happy.”
“You make me happy,” I told him, the honesty of it raw in my throat.
The wind picked up as we stepped back onto the gravel, and a light rain began to mist through the air, cooling the heat that still clung to my skin.
Julian didn’t miss a beat. He shrugged out of his jacket in one fluid motion, holding the heavy fabric high over both of our heads as an impromptu shield as the rain went from a drizzle to a punishing downpour in a single heartbeat.
He tucked me tight against his side, his arm guiding my steps as we broke into a frantic run towards the car.
“Let’s get out of here,” he said, his arm leading me. He looked down, a playful, dark glint returning to his eyes. “I promised Nana I’d keep out of trouble and get you home on time tonight. I better keep at least one of those promises.”
