Chapter 30
Jen
Luke wastes no time dropping to his knees once Sloan closes the door. He pulls my hips to him and wedges his face in my dripping cunt. He’s never been so intent on eating me as he is right now. He’s sucking like Sloan’s cum is the only thing that can sustain him.
As it is, I’m still sensitive from my own release and I tap his shoulder.
“Ah. Luke. Slow down.”
He pulls his face away, glistening from his nose to his chin. “Sorry, sweetheart.”
I assume now that he’s fulfilled Sloan’s command, he’s ready to move on. Not wanting him to feel obligated to get me off, I tug lightly on his hair to make him look up at me.
“We should probably get out of here before we get busted.” I wipe his face with my palm as we hear the roar of the crowd letting us know the encore is about to start.
“Give me five minutes. You think Sloan’s the only one who enjoys making you come?”
“Oh, o-okay,” I stammer. Luke puts his mouth back on me in a softer, slower rhythm as the band begins to play their final song.
A short way through the finale, Sloan gets adventurous. Fast, sharp, deep notes ring through the building. The new variation actually sounds pretty badass and between his notes and Luke’s tongue, it kicks off my second orgasm.
Luke looks up at me and smiles. “I think that’s for us.”
I run my hand along his cheek and smile back. “I think that’s for you.” The hope and love that flash in his eyes are totally unmistakable. These two have it bad.
Luke and I return to the platform just as the guys are taking a bow at the front of the stage, their fans still screaming as the guys turn toward the stairs.
It’s so weird to me that only a year ago, Emma and I were in the studio behind Sloan’s house just listening to these guys play as if they’re some amateur garage band.
Sloan slips his guitar strap over his head and holds the black and red instrument out to Tanner who fist bumps him and pats him on his bare chest before taking the guitar and scurrying away.
Next to me, Luke grumbles. “That dude wants to do you.”
Sloan and I share a look and laugh before I pat Luke on the back. “Aw, honey, every person in this building wants to fuck Sloan.”
Luke’s eyes narrow as he peers around the black curtain and watches the crowd begin to disappear now that they realize Beautiful Deceit is actually done playing for the night. A few die-hard hopefuls are still in their seats when Luke looks back at us and shakes his head.
“What happens now?” he asks.
“Now we spend the next ten hours eating, drinking, and fucking,” Sloan answers. “How did you guys get here from the airport?”
“Uber XL,” I answer as he laces our fingers together and wraps his arm around Luke’s back, resting his hand in Luke’s back pocket. Another large man joins us as we wind our way through the backstage hallways, presumably headed for the exit.
“Who’s this?” I ask.
“Oh, Jen, Luke, this is Jasper. My new security detail. He’ll be accompanying us everywhere we go so get used to seeing him around.”
Jasper nods but stays quiet.
Jasper looks like a stone-cold killer. I mean no disrespect. He just looks like he could blow the head off an ant from a thousand yards out after tasting the wind direction and calculating velocity and bullet drop in his head. I’m glad he’s with Sloan.
Luke doesn’t share my sentiment.
“The fuck you mean everywhere?” he whispers vehemently.
I see the glint in Sloan’s eye and groan inwardly. Luke doesn’t deserve the level of bullshit Sloan’s about to hit him with.
“Well, you know, out when I need to run errands. When I have to fly somewhere for a podcast or a product promo…to my hotel rooms. And the label doesn’t like to pay for extras, so he’ll share my bed since it’s his job to keep me safe. What better way to do that than to be glued to my side 24/7?”
“Your bed? That’s hardly professional.” Luke pouts as he glowers at the man behind us who can no doubt hear everything being said.
“Sloan, you can be such an asshole.” I roll my eyes and look around him to Luke. “Sloan’s fucking with you. Jasper will clear Sloan’s hotel room and then stay down the hall. And if Sloan here knows what’s good for him and wants the chance to tap your ass, there will be no bed sharing. Am I right?”
Sloan laughs and kisses the side of my head. “Yeah. You’re right.”
“It’s so nice to know you haven’t lost your sense of humor, Alexander,” Luke deadpans.
“Okay, all jokes aside, getting to the bus can be tricky. Jen, you’ve already been spotted out with Em several times. You go up with her. Link arms and stick to her like glue. Tim will have his hands full, but Ryan can take care of himself. Luke—”
“I’m staying with you,” he declares in a tone that tells Sloan it’ll be pointless to argue with him.
Sloan licks his lips and smiles. “I know you are, but we can’t go out there like this.” He gives a pointed look to the way they’re gripping each other’s waists.
“Why the hell not?”
“Well first of all, because you’ll wake up tomorrow morning with your face plastered across every social media site, pop culture magazine, probably a few talk shows, and maybe even some news channels.
And second of all, the whole world will know you’re fucking a dude, and call me crazy, but I don’t think you’re ready for that. ”
I see the war rage in Luke’s eyes and I can tell he wants to be ready for it.
“Technically, I’m not fucking a dude. We haven’t crossed that line yet.” The tone of his voice gives away the fact that he’s trying to get Sloan to tell him what’s coming and Sloan doesn’t disappoint.
When the guitarist smiles, it’s obvious the whole world has faded except for the man standing next to him. “Well, we are tonight.”
I’ve never heard a grown man whimper until just now.
The way these two love each other, need each other is unlike anything I’ve seen except maybe in Noah and Sienna.
I’m also in love with Sloan, yes, but I fear part of that is being selfless enough to acknowledge what it is he really needs.
What they both need. And no couple has ever needed a second chance like these two.
Deciding to let them hash it out alone, I kiss Sloan’s cheek, give Luke’s shoulder a squeeze, and then hop up the line of band members until I’m next to Emma.
“Looks like I’m walking out with you to hide the fact that I’m banging Sloan.”
“Suits me just fine. Sloan knows you’re safe with us. People are too scared to insinuate Ryan is anything other than a perfect gentleman.” She giggles and wags her eyebrows. “Shows how much they know.”
“I can hear you, angel,” says the behemoth behind us.
“Oh, I know.” She blows him a kiss as we reach the exit doors. I can already hear the people on the other side and the doors aren’t even open yet. “Things seem to be going well with you two and Major Hottie,” Emma continues.
Unable to keep the thought to myself any longer, I make my confession. “Actually, I’m breaking up with them.”
Em whips her head to me but her words die on her tongue as we hear Romeo bellow in the front of the group. “You all ready? Meet ‘n Greet is over, haul your asses to the bus. Do not stop.”
He opens the doors and we’re instantly swallowed by the noise of the crowd.
For fuck’s sake people, they just played for two and a half hours. Give them some fucking breathing room.
I clutch Emma’s arm so she can keep me from being pulled away by the crazed fans, and maybe, just maybe she can stop me from feeling like I’m drowning.
