Chapter 25

Lani

We’ve been home a few days and the freedom I feel is indescribable. I stepped outside and just walked around the block because I was free to do it. Tonight, everyone is meeting at Hansons and I am so excited I can hardly contain myself.

Evan has been staying over, but we aren’t sleeping together. I’ve decided that before we head out, I need to tell him everything I’ve been waiting to tell him, hoping we can go to Hansons as an official couple. I hurry out into the living room because I can’t wait a second longer. He’s relaxing on the couch and channel surfing. He’s in those jeans that make his cock look yummy. Focus, Alani. Tell him you love him. Sex can come afterwards.

“Evan? Can we talk?” I say in a very serious tone. I almost laugh when I see the frustration in his eyes.

“What? You want your space back again?” he asks, sounding irritated.

“No,” I reply.

“Then what is it this time?”

“I was wondering...do you want to move back in?”

“That depends,” he says.

“On?”

“Are you going to kick me out again?” he jokes.

“Nah. I’ve grown used to you and your asshole tendencies,” I retort, making Evan chuckle.

“Seriously though, Alani, I think we should just wait until you figure your shit out,” he says.

“I have. I figured it out after Valentine’s Day. I love you, Evan. I’m madly in love with you,” I finally admit .

“Wait, what?” he questions with a puzzled look on his face.

“I said I love you. Maybe I even knew before Valentine’s Day. You gave me a preview into what I feared. But when you ask me if I trusted you, I knew the answer was yes.”

Evan jumps up off the couch, picks me up, and practically runs into the bedroom.

“What are you doing?” I question.

“Giving my girlfriend more than a preview,” he answers.

Evan

Alani finally told me that she’s in love with me. I honestly never thought I’d hear her say those words, but I didn’t need to question it. I knew that if those words ever came out from her lips, she would mean them. I want to show her just how much I love her so I spend a good twenty minutes eating her out. Once she’s orgasmed a couple of times, she looks completely worn out, but she’s not getting off easy because I need to be inside her. I grab my wallet from the nightstand and grab a condom. The last time I was here, I came unprepared. I love Harper, but knowing Alani and myself, we probably won’t want any more children. So until we have time to sit down and talk about our future, I’ll be better about being careful.

“Why are you stopping?” Alani groans.

“One sec, I’m just wrapping up my cock.”

“Don’t worry about it. Just hurry, I’ve been craving you since Valentine’s Day. I need to feel you inside me.”

“Well, I’m trying to be careful. I don’t want to get you pregnant again,” I explain, and immediately, she shoots up into a sitting position.

“So you’re telling me you don’t want another baby?” she asks with furrowed brows .

Puzzled by her intensity, I reply, “I’m definitely not thinking about another one right now.”

“You’re such a jerk!” she says as she smacks my chest.

“Wait, I’m confused. We haven’t talked about our future. I’m not trying to be a jerk, but with the way things are right now, I just know we aren’t ready for another baby,” I say, trying to calm her.

“Well you should’ve thought about that on Valentine’s Day when you knocked me up again!” she blurts out in anger.

Whoa! Wait! Knocked up again? Fucking hell. “You’re pregnant?” I ask, completely stunned.

“Yep. Congratu- fucking -lations,” she says extremely pissed, and I can’t help but laugh. “What’s so funny, asshole?”

“You,” I reply, smiling at her.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” she asks.

“You’re completely adorable when you’re pissed.”

“You’re an asshole,” she says as she jumps up off the bed. I grab her arm and pull her down on my lap.

“Hey! I’m happy,” I say as I place my hand on her stomach.

“You just said you’re not thinking about another one,” she says, and I can tell she’s about to cry.

“What I said was, I wasn’t thinking about one right now because I didn’t think we were ready for it yet,” I correct her. “But now that it’s on the way, I’m okay with it. Actually, I’m very happy,” I say, and I rub her stomach gently to let her know I’m serious. “I said before that I didn’t want any kids, but take a look at Harper. She wasn’t planned, but now, I’m crazy about her and I absolutely adore her. So don’t worry, I’ll love this one just as much as I love her.”

“Are you sure?” she questions.

“Not this again,” I sigh in frustration. “Yes, Alani, I’m sure.”

A look of relief appears on her face before she starts kissing my neck, effectively ending that conversation. The advantage to Alani being already pregnant is that I don’t have to worry about wearing a condom. With every stroke, I can enjoy the incredible feeling of Alani’s warm flesh on my cock.

“You feel fucking perfect,” I moan.

Lani

After a couple of rounds of mind blowing sex, we finally made it out the door and into Hansons. I’m so freaking giddy that I get to sit with my girlfriends even though I can’t have a drink. At least I can depend on the always pregnant Molly to not drink with me. I run into my friends’ arms and it feels so good to be engulfed by the best group of friends anyone could ask for. I don’t want to back out of this hug, but I know it would look weird to see a group of four girls standing in the corner and hugging all night.

I look around my group of friends, and when my eyes lock with Missy’s, a huge grin crosses her face. The look tells me that she has finally let go. I went by her place the day after everything happened with Jackson and told her everything I had learned. Although she will always be a rape victim, she took what little comfort she could in the knowledge that it was just one guy. She said she recalled hearing a guy asking her to wake up and offering her his jacket, but she thought it was just a dream. While she has no desire to see Dylan, she wants to forgive him for not doing the unthinkable. I don’t think she’s there yet, but Missy is forgiving and kind, and I know she just needs time. We all need time.

When we get to our table, Brayden calls out, “First round’s on me. What’s everyone drinking?” The men all give their drink orders and so do Kerrigan and Missy.

“Just a water for me,” says Molly.

“Sorry, no water tonight. It’s our first night out in months, babe, and I want you drunk,” Noah says as he winks at her. I’m surprised she hasn’t told him yet. As Molly and Noah start talking to each other, Brayden turns his attention to me.

“Water for me also,” I respond .

“What’s up with the water orders?” Maddox ask.

“Baby number two is on the way,” Evan proudly blurts out, and the whole gang stops talking and looks at me. I feel like the spotlight is on me, so I break the silence.

“What?” I ask, acting all innocent.

“Wow, I’m...shocked,” says Kerrigan. As my long time best friend, she of all people knows I never wanted children.

“Well you shouldn’t be. You can’t have sex with a Stone brother and not get knocked up,” I say jokingly. I turn to Molly, who looks like she’s about to cry. Did something happen with her baby? I take the cue and announce that I need to go to the restroom. The girls immediately recognize our code for ‘We need to gossip’, so they all excuse themselves and follow me into the bathroom.

Evan

I can’t believe how easy it was for me to announce that I was going to be a father again. And I’m excited that I get to be a part of this next pregnancy. I missed so many things with Harper and so I get to see and understand what Alani went through during her pregnancy. Her comeback to Kerrigan’s response was hilarious, and probably on point. If Kerrigan didn’t have such a traumatic delivery resulting in a hysterectomy, I’m certain she would have popped out another one already and be on pace to carry baby number three right now.

“Alright I’m going to get the drinks,” says Brayden. “No kids talk for the rest of the night.”

“Sounds good to me,” I concur.

“Molly will have a Corona,” Noah says.

“Got it,” says Brayden as he walks away from the table.

“You and Molly fighting?” Maddox asks Noah.

“No, why?”

“She looked upset when she left the table,” Maddox says.

“Well I noticed she’s been emotional the past few days. We aren’t fighting though. In fact, I think I made her very happy,” Noah says proudly.

“You sure about that? She looked pissed to me.”

“Oh, I’m sure. I started feeling bad for constantly pressuring her to have another baby, and she kept telling me that we were done having kids, so I took it upon myself to have a vasectomy,” Noah explains.

“You dumbass. Did you even talk to her about it?” I ask.

“Why would I need to? It was a no-brainer,” says Noah confidently. “I mean, what was I thinking asking her for another kid? We’re both exhausted all the time because four boys are a lot to handle. And you know what? It was the best decision ever. I decided to surprise her with the good news by getting rid of all our baby stuff.”

“Well, congratulations. I guess we’re all here to celebrate you getting neutered?” I jest.

“Thanks, jackass,” Noah says, glaring at me. “Don’t worry, you’re next.”

“No, I’m not. If Alani doesn’t want more kids, she can get herself snipped.”

“Alright, I said no kids talk,” Brayden says, setting a tray of drinks down on the table.

“Actually, that’s exactly what we’re doing. We’re having a ‘no kids’ talk, as in Noah just got his balls snipped,” I casually say to Brayden, who starts laughing.

The girls make their way back to the table as Brayden hands out the drinks to everyone.

“I told you I wanted water,” Molly snaps at Noah.

I look at Alani, and the expression on her face pretty much says it all—Molly’s pregnant. Yup, Noah is in deep shit, but he doesn’t know it yet because he’s busy talking to Maddox. He does, however, take notice that Molly has handed her beer to Kerrigan .

“Is something wrong?” Noah asks.

“Isn’t it obvious?” she retorts.

“What is it?” Noah asks.

“I married a clueless moron.”

“Wait, you really are mad at me?” he asks, looking confused, and I can’t help but laugh. Noah is about to get his ass chewed and I’m glad I have front row seats to this smackdown.

“Yes, you idiot. Who gets a surprise vasectomy? Who gives away all the infant furniture without asking their wife?”

“I thought it would make you happy.”

“Well, it doesn’t. And now, we have to buy all brand new crap,” Molly says irritatedly. I’m just staring at Noah’s face, waiting for it to dawn on him. Maddox and I crack up as Noah’s face finally registers what everyone already knows.

“You’re pregnant?” Noah asks, completely astounded.

“Yes! And then, you go on and on about how excited you are to start the next chapter of our lives and how you look forward to being able to sleep through the night. Newsflash, you had your balls cut a couple of weeks too late.”

“Told you it was stupid to do without asking your wife,” I say, adding salt to his wounds.

“Oh shut up, Evan,” Alani chimes in. “You made me take a shower after we had sex to ensure I wouldn’t get pregnant.” She turns to Molly and says, “They’re idiots. All of them.”

Noah bursts out laughing. “And you called me a dumbass?” The entire table gets a good laugh at my expense. Months ago, I would’ve been pissed off at being the butt of the joke, but now I join in the laughter. Watching Noah and Molly bicker like husband and wife for years has been thoroughly entertaining, and it’s even funnier when she puts him in his place. And now, I just got a taste of what their life is like. I’m a lucky man.
