Chapter 15

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Wynn

After the bath, a wave of exhaustion assaulted me. Julian had dried me and carried me to his bed. I was frustrated that my energy was depleted and when I stated that fact, he just grinned and said, “Rest for a while; I’ll wake you with a surprise.”

I didn’t know what that meant, but butterflies swirled around my belly excitedly as my eyelids drooped and I slipped into a wonderful dream.

At first it was sweet kisses under a sky full of stars.

It morphed into Julian at my home and me introducing him to Seth and my family.

My heart felt full…and then the dream changed again.

I was in bed, Julian hovering over me, peppering kisses and gentle nips across my heated flesh.

My cock hardened by the second and as soon as I couldn’t take it anymore, he swallowed me whole, and it was like jolts of electricity caressing my skin in the best way.

He popped off my dick, spread my legs, and began laving at my hole.

I was coming apart and didn’t ever want to wake up.

Pressure pulled a moan from my lips as he gently started fucking me with his fingers. I was whimpering his name, I could hear it as if I were… Wait a minute.

My lids shot open and sure enough, Julian was really there, doing all the things in my dreams.

“Surprise.” He smiled and I wanted to say something, anything, but at that moment he pressed against my prostate, and my back arched. “So beautiful,” he hummed. “I can’t wait to fuck you. Can I, Wynn? Please say I can fuck you.”

“Yes, God, yes.”

His fingers slipped from me and I watched, transfixed, as he rolled a condom onto his seriously impressive cock. When I’d sucked it earlier, I hadn’t been able to get the whole thing in my mouth, and my hole fluttered with the need to feel him sliding inside me.

He leaned in and kissed me like a man drowning. His body on top of mine pinned me down, and as he slowly entered me, I was overwhelmed with sensations.

“Wynn.” He moaned my name like a fucking prayer. “You feel…” It was a powerful feeling rendering a prince speechless.

“Julian, more.”

He chuckled darkly and I gasped, meeting his gaze.

There wasn’t a speck of silver showing, his pupils were so wide and the shadow lurking there sent a shiver up my spine.

He gripped my wrists and lifted them over my head with one hand.

The other spread my leg as wide as it would go, and Julian began thrusting.

Every time he pumped his hips, the bed thumped against the wall.

Any other time I’d have worried about the noise but every nerve ending was alive, my orgasm quickly rushing to the surface.

I was so utterly under whatever spell he was conjuring.

Every breath, touch, and taste was Julian.

“Come for me, Wynn. I need to feel you come, I crave it.”

Holy shit. It took two more slams to my prostate and I was coming across my stomach, my vision grew fuzzy, and for just a moment, it was as if my lungs seized.

I must have been completely out of it, because the next minute Julian was cleaning me with a warm washcloth, his eyes silver once more, and a sexy-as-sin smile painted his face.

“You’re stunning when you come, Wynn.”

The fact that my cock gave a little jolt showed how gone I was for this guy.

“You too.” Yeah, not the best response, but what even were words right now? Being woken from a sex dream to sex was mind-blowing, but what was even more earth shattering was actual sex with Prince Julian Davaros.

I watched him walk back to the bathroom to toss the washcloth. His ass was a work of art, and as soon as he turned and came to the bed, there was no denying he was comfortable in his own skin. I mean, he was stunning. Who could blame the guy for having an ego the size of Texas?

I wasn’t sure what sleeping with Julian would entail, so I slid to the left side of the bed. As soon as he slipped under the covers, he wrapped his arm around my waist and dragged me against him so he was spooning me from behind.

“I like you close to me.” Again, the shiver ran up my spine. His words held a heavy amount of romance, but there was a hint of something almost sinister.

My brain was hissing at me to run. Something wasn’t right, but my body was jelly and my heart beat as if it were drugged. Wrapped in the warmth of his heat, the war of emotions and self-preservation dissipated until I was submerged into my dreams.

The second I entered my hotel room, Hannah was right there begging for information on my date. We sat on the balcony, drinking delicious sweet tea, and I was sharing my evening with her…the PG version, which was interrupted by the sound of someone knocking on the door.

“Is that Mark?” I moved to answer it.

“He has a key; he wouldn’t knock.”

I shrugged and answered it. Four men in uniforms stood in the hallway. A patch on the arm of one of the guys read Thrindell Police Force. Two of the others had patches that read Crellesia Police Force.

“Good morning, Officers. How may I help you?” I tried to smile, but the frowns on their faces told me this wasn’t going to be pleasant.

“Wynn Carter?” one of the officers asked.

“Yes, that’s me.”

“Wynn Carter, I’m Officer Rogers. I’m going to need you to come with us to the station to answer a few questions.”

“What the hell for?” Hannah pulled the door open wider.

Rogers glanced at Hannah and immediately dismissed her. “We’re asking you to come of your own accord. Please don’t make this difficult.”

“Maybe you should tell him why. Who the hell blindly goes with the cops?”

Rogers sighed. “We need Mr. Carter to come with us to answer questions regarding Governor Rambles’s murder.”

“What!” Hannah and I shouted at the same time.

“You think Wynn had something to do with her murder?” Hannah snorted. “That’s ridiculous. Absolutely not. No, he’s not going with you.”

“Hannah.” I placed my hand on her arm; her face was getting red with anger.

“No, Wynn. You’re in a foreign country with no lawyer, and you’re not going anywhere.” Suddenly, she grinned. “Actually, you have something better than a lawyer.”

“I do?”

She nodded. “You have a prince.” She turned and narrowed her eyes at the officers. “Prince Julian Davaros will be very unhappy to hear how you’re treating his boyfriend.”

I opened my mouth to tell her to stop, but I was halted by the way the officers were now looking at each other like, What the fuck do we do?

“I’ll go with them.” I held up my hand to silence Hannah. “My phone is on the charger next to my bed. Julian’s number is there; maybe you can let him know what’s going on and inform him I likely won’t be making it to dinner tonight.”

She smirked. “Okay.”

When I faced the officers again, I held out a hand. “Lead the way, gentlemen.”

Their expressions were no longer filled with the air of authority.

No, they all appeared quite afraid. I hated to get Julian involved, but Hannah was right.

I couldn’t call my lawyer to come help me here, and I wasn’t sure what the laws even were on the Lamdera Islands.

Julian was my best bet. I just couldn’t for the life of me figure out why they’d think I had anything to do with the governor’s death.
