Chapter 22

CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

Julian

My meeting with Edward had pissed me off. Ridgeway was going to be a huge problem, especially once my father intervened. I wasn’t sure the detective would back off…especially after finding out Rona Rambles was his cousin. How was he even allowed to be on the case?

I was angry that there was such a dangerous connection to one of my victims, pissed at how this was turning out, and irritated that I’d missed dinner with Wynn. Finding him fast asleep on the couch in my room had confused me. It also wouldn’t do at all. He was going to sleep with me in my bed.

My dick hardened as I shut the water off, knowing I was going to be in Wynn’s ass. Kissing him, owning him. I snatched up a towel and dried some, but I was too anxious. I opened the bathroom door and there he was, on the bed, hard, gorgeous, and fucking mine.

I stalked over to him; he watched with wide eyes and a slacked jaw. I gripped my cock and smirked. “Keep that mouth open, and I’m gonna fuck it.”

“Holy shit,” he whispered.

With my other hand I gripped his hair and yanked him forward. “Get it wet.”

The times we’d been together, I hadn’t been this rough with Wynn. Gripping his throat while I jacked him off was nothing. But I was pent up with rage because of the day, and I needed it hard and fast…I needed it on my terms, and I hoped like hell he’d be fine with that.

Wynn blinked, and for a moment I thought he’d tell me no, but then he opened his mouth and sucked me in. He was fierce as he bobbed on my dick, gagging, slobbering, tears slipping from his eyes. He was fucking beautiful.

The familiar tingle at the base of my spine had me pulling out. “I want to come in your other hole.”

We were both negative and on PrEP. We’d talked about it and even if we hadn’t, I wouldn’t fucking give a shit—I wanted to paint his insides with my come. He scrambled onto all fours, his dick hard and leaking.

“Shit, Julian, please fuck me.”

He didn’t need to beg, even though he sounded so pretty when he did. I pressed the head of my cock against his hole and slowly pushed into him. My cock was encased by his warm, tight heat and I was able to make it halfway. I couldn’t hold back, and I slammed the rest of the way in.

“Fuck!” Wynn shouted, and I was glad my bedroom was in a completely different wing from his friends only because I’d never want anyone to hear him like this. His needy whimpers and salacious screams were for my ears only.

I gripped his hips, my nails digging into his skin as I pummeled his hole. Fuck, he felt like heaven and if I were to die right now, I’d be fine with that.

“Julian, I’m gonna.”

I squeezed the nape of his neck and pressed him into the mattress as I jackhammered into him. He came with a shout, and I followed right behind.

I collapsed on top of him, his heavy breaths music to my ears. I turned my head, and warm air whispered against my face. Normally, I wanted someone’s last breaths, but with Wynn I wanted them all—forever, and for them to never stop.

I’d woken up early. Wynn was still asleep, so I showered, dressed for the day, and went into my office, where I had to do a little damage control since I’d canceled the remainder of my tour.

I took breakfast in there as I answered emails my assistant passed to me as personal.

Most were family correspondence, and I made fairly quick work of it.

By the time I was done, it was close to noon and I was sure Wynn was up. I made my way to the first floor and was passing the sitting room when I heard laughter. I pivoted and entered. Hannah, Mark, and Wynn were drinking tea, eating a snack, and talking.

“Good afternoon.” I smiled, hoping the new day meant any animosity of the day prior was gone.

“There you are.” Wynn stood and, to my surprise, kissed me right in front of his friends. “I was looking for you, but Brantly informed us you were working.”

“I was in my office.”

He grinned. “Are you done for the day?”

“I am.”

“Would you like to go out with me and Hannah?”

My gaze went instantly to Mark, and he quirked a brow. “I’m not feeling like hopping from shop to shop, and Brantly showed me a killer game room I’m dying to enjoy.” He didn’t seem as angry, and I felt settled that I wouldn’t have to consider killing him.

“Shopping?” I looked at Wynn.

“I figured if I’m going to be on this island, I might as well see everything, and Minnie said Thrindell has this street called Indulgence Boulevard that has shops and salons…oh, and a place where you can make your own candy.”

“Yes, I’ve been. It’s a huge tourist attraction.” I wasn’t sure how great it would be for Wynn and Hannah if I was there being crowded by people. “I’m afraid I might cause a bit of an uproar if I am with you.”

Hannah waved her hand. “So? You can be our tour guide, and I’m sure you have a throng of security.”

I glanced at Wynn again. “I suppose we can go.”

He chuckled. “Don’t look so happy about it. You don’t have to.”

Honestly, I didn’t want to go, but I also didn’t want to be away from Wynn and I had to prove to him that being with me, married, forever, was the best thing in the world.

Him coming to that conclusion on his own would make this go much smoother.

If that meant I had to pretend to enjoy gallivanting around Thrindell, so be it.

“It’ll be great. Let me inform Edward. He will need to make some security arrangements. Perhaps we can go in an hour, after lunch?”

Hannah nodded. “Sounds great.”

Edward wasn’t thrilled with the short notice, but I didn’t give a fuck. It was his job to secure places and things no matter what the time frame.

The four of us ate outside facing the ocean, the breeze warm and the sun shining.

It was a beautiful day, and yet I could feel the trickle of dread creeping up my spine.

I knew I’d get Wynn’s name cleared, but Ridgeway was of the belief that Wynn killed his cousin, and I also knew that as soon as he was told to back off, he’d snap.

I could see it in his eyes…I recognized the same beast lurking behind his gaze.

He was a killer just like me, and he was on the trail for revenge and wasn’t going to be stopped easily.

Well, he wasn’t prepared for me, then, because I would tear down anyone who hurt Wynn, and I’d take their last breaths with me.
