Kai

My eyes widen as I listen to the words Zak says from across the table we’re sitting at in the coffee shop down the street from Slavic Skin. I swallow thickly and ask, “So, I get a night with him? Behind a closed door? With no interruptions?”

Zak chuckles and I track the movement of his trademark toothpick from one corner of his mouth to the other, “Da! Otets and I work with Cas and the warden to make happen. I drop you off Saturday morning and pick you up Sunday morning. Dax knows nothing, keep it that way.”

I crack my neck, shaking my head, “I may fuck this up. I’ll try not to, but I’m not sure I can be trusted. Wait, can I bring a cake?” I ask.

Zak facepalms before looking at me, “You won’t fuck up! And, Da, we can get cake. We also bring him real food. You will be in that room for twenty-four hours. Just you two. Now finish,” he says, nodding towards the coffee cup in my hand, “it time for you to go back to work.”

We stand and I walk towards the trash can as we head toward the door to leave, “You expect me to go back to work now? How am I supposed to think about anything but this now?”

Chuckling, he smacks the back of my head, “You can and will, Molodoy. You pick school yet?”

I flash him a smirk, “Yeah, I figured that out. But, until I tell Dax I ain’t tellin’ anyone else.”

Zak scowls at me, “I pay for it! Why do I not get to know?”

“You will. You’ll find out Sunday on the way home,” I continue as we walk back to the shop, halfway there I stop, looking over at Zak, I ask, “How do you say chaos in Russian?”

“What?” Zak asks.

I roll my eyes, “I didn’t stutter, I just need to know how to say chaos in Russian, please?” I ask again.

He smiles, toying with the toothpick still in his mouth, “Xaoc and Kotenok, huh?”

With a smirk and shrug of my shoulders, “Kotenok and Xaoc, but yeah. Thanks,” I say.

We part ways at the shop door and I walk back to my desk on cloud nine.

It must show because Andrei shoots me a shy smile as I sit down.

‘These guys may seem big and scary, but for me and Dax they have become a forged family that we didn’t know we needed,’ I think as the phone rings. I answer with a smile on my face.

The rest of the week flies by and I do my best at keeping the surprise to myself until I almost slip-up on a call with Dax.

‘One day away and I almost screw up,’ I think, smacking myself in the forehead as I quickly save it by making it seem like I was just talking about seeing him on Saturday like a normal visitation. ‘Hopefully he bought it.’

I wake up Saturday feeling more excited than I have in a while.

I take a long shower and dress meticulously.

The t-shirt fits tight across the chest, the jeans were basically painted on and my boxer briefs are brand new so they cup my junk perfectly.

Tying my new black boots, I throw on a hoodie and grab my wallet.

I grab my duffle bag and practically bounce down the stairs to meet Zak out front.

He was leaning against that damn Jeep Cherokee and he chuckled at my excitement as I race out the door almost barreling into him. He takes my bag from me, tossing it in the back, as I climb in. He gets behind the wheel, cranking the car and we hit the road.

A few miles down the road, I check the time, impatient to get to Pontiac.

We’re making good time when we stop to grab the cake at Wal-Mart before swinging through White Castle’s drive-thru.

Leaving the parking lot, my leg bouncing, I was ready with everything I needed to make this day special for Dax.

As we pull into the prison parking lot, I have my hand on the door handle, ready to jump out as soon as Zak puts the car in park. He watches me with an amused look as I head to the back and try to gather all the bags myself.

Cocking his eyebrow, “You want some help?” he asks, watching me struggle with a bag.

I grimace, answering sheepishly, “Yeah. I could use a hand.”

Chuckling, Zak grabs the cake and the food and leads me to an opening in the fence, different from where I normally go in for visitation. Cas is waiting for me just inside the fence.

Reaching out to take the food from Zak, he says, “Follow me, I have you all set up with room. I leave you there to set up and go get Dax.”

We leave Zak by the fence as we head inside. He’s grinning ear to ear as he pushes the door open and hands me my bag, “Wait here. I be right back,” he tells me, turning to leave. As I settle in the room to wait, a smile stretches across my face when I hear him coming before I see him.

“Cas, come on man! Kai’s gonna be here soon. I didn’t do anything. I damn sure don’t have a lawyer coming. Why are ya doin’ this, man? It’s my birthday,” he rants, sounding frantic at possibly missing my visit. I stifle a giggle as they stop right outside the door.

Cas opens the door and shoves me inside roughly. I stumble into the room and turn just as the door closes. Eyeing the door in confusion, I sigh and look around, my gaze stopping on the other person in the room. I can’t believe my eyes, and blink twice thinking he will disappear if I look too long.

Kai’s standing across the room, flexed arms crossed, forearms and biceps on full display.

Sucking in a breath, I cross the room in three steps pulling him into a hug with a full-body sigh.

I want to take him apart, but he pulls out of my hold so quickly.

My mouth drops open to question him on it when I pause, fully taking in the room.

Glancing around the room, I see a full bathroom in the corner, a table and a mini-fridge in another corner and a bed on the wall in-between.

The table is stacked with food and what looks like a cake.

My gaze freezes on the bed and I realize that I get the one thing I never thought possible for my birthday.

‘It’s been so long, I don’t know if I remember how to do this.

Bein’ alone with him. This is so much more than I could have ever dreamed up,’ I think, nervous energy and excitement running through my entire body.

I feel Kai’s arms wrap around me from behind, pulling me from my thoughts.

It had been six long months since he had been able to hold me like this and as I relax fully into his hold I’m determined to enjoy every moment of it.

Leaning into his embrace, I feel his lips brush against the pulse point on my neck.

Goosebumps rush across my skin as I stare longingly at the shower.

Turning in his arms, I look into those green eyes and place a hand on his cheek before asking, “Kitten, I hate to do this, but would you be mad if I showered first? I haven’t… ”

His lips on my forehead stop me from explaining, “Baby. Of course. Go, shower. I’m not goin’ anywhere. We have ‘til tomorrow mornin’ so you can have two showers if ya want,” he says with a wink. I pop up on my tiptoes, giving him a quick kiss and a soft smile.

I head for the shower, yanking the zipper of the jumpsuit down as I go, stripping and leaving a trail of clothes between Kai and the bathroom.

I hear him chuckle as I start the shower.

I’m rinsing the shampoo from my hair, when I hear the room door open.

I shrug, choosing to ignore it while I soak up the heat from the first hot solo shower I’ve had in months.

‘They’re probably just bringing my clothes for tomorrow. If tonight goes the way I’m hopin’, I won’t need much if any at all tonight,’ I think, refocusing on making sure I am squeaky clean for whatever my Kitten has in store for tonight.

I hear him say “Thank you”, his voice getting closer as I hear the door shut again.

From the corner of my eye, I see him leaning against the door frame, watching me through the transparent curtain.

Licking my lips, I smirk and stroke my cock, giving him a show.

He cocks his eyebrow at the display before pulling his t-shirt off.

My mouth goes dry, my eyes trail over abs that tighten as he reaches up to grab onto the door frame.

“Andrei has a gym in the basement of the shop,” he explains as I finish up quickly. I know what I want next. Pushing the curtain aside, I step out, wrapping a towel around my waist as I step in front of him.

I take a deep breath, watching as his head dips down to lick a water droplet from my neck, following the trail up to my ear. Pausing there, in a husky whisper, he says, “Come to bed, Xaoc.” My eyes widen at hearing my nickname in Russian.

‘Holy shit! This man. He’s mine. I didn’t realize how much I missed this,’ I think as I slam my mouth against his.

We’ve always been good in bed, but this felt like it was something else. I could say it was intimacy, but it was so much more. There’s a connection between us that no amount of distance, regulation or meddling families can remove. We’ll always find our way back together. He’s my home.

Leaning my head against his shoulder, holding onto his hips to keep myself upright, I breathe deeply, enjoying being close to him again.

My eyes slip closed when I feel two fingers under my chin lifting my head.

Face to face, he brushes his nose with mine as I search his eyes, finding nothing but an intense need staring back at me.

‘This man needs me. He wants me. Kai could have anyone, but he always chooses me.’ As that thought slammed through me, I tilt my head, lips searching out his and claiming them. A burning need pooled in my groin as they met.

I gasped at the electricity in the kiss and Kai took the opportunity to deepen the kiss.

His hands slid down my waist and around to grip my ass.

Jumping, he easily caught me and I wrapped my legs around his waist. Wrapping my arms around his neck, he took a few steps, dropping me on the bed and pushing me back as he lowered himself to crawl over me.
