Chapter Ten

Hayes

I am not sure if I am more pissed off that Olivia has become mouthier to me within the last little bit or that Ellie came in my office kneeling and ready to suck my dick.

I’m not even sure what gave her the idea; that is not what I wanted her to come to my office for.

I have never let these women touch me. I meant what I told Olivia; I do not mix business and pleasure.

Olivia’s mouth though, was making me retract my statement. I would give anything to punish her for trying to push back at me.

I have killed men for less. But it’s not killing that I want to do to her, my dick and tongue want to punish her. I want her to scream my name until she is panting and gasping for air for defying me.

Reaching for the remote I keep in my desk drawer, I turn on the flat screen on the wall. Four camera screens pop up and I watch, looking for Olivia at the bar.

Spotting her as she listens to Ellie talk through the different kinds of liquor on the shelf, my dick twitches in my pants and I sigh, unbuttoning them, I let my shaft spring out from its hold.

Hitting the button that is placed under my desktop that locks the door to my office, my eyes go back to the screen on the wall as I pull out a bottle of lube from the drawer the remote came out of.

Olivia walks around the bar, following Ellie’s movements and nodding as she talks, her ass sways in that tiny skirt as she walks and I imagine it in front of me, while my dick takes her pussy.

My hands rub the lube over my length, the pumps become erotic as the vision takes over and my eyes close slowly allowing the pleasure to consume me. The release I crave from her comes in a jerk of explosions while I lean my head back reveling in the feelings, noticing my heart skips a few beats.

Opening my eyes, I allow myself to slow my breaths back to normal and grab a tissue to clean up my mess.

I gather a sense of reality.

That is the last time I do that.

My eyes go back to the screen and my heart skips a few beats again; Ashton’s goons are here.

I need to figure out how they keep getting in.

Pulling out my phone, I call Alan.

It rings once and then I hear his voice. “Yeah boss, I see them. They just got here.” he says. He knows why I was calling before I even had a chance to tell him.

My eyes scan over all four screens and I scroll on to the other screens that I can pull up on my computer.

“Where is Olivia?” I ask Alan. Neither her nor Ellie are on the screens anymore.

“In the back. Ellie was showing her where we kept stock,” he assures me. “Do I need to follow them?”

“No, just keep an eye on Ashton’s men. Don’t let them get close to Olivia. They may recognize her this early in the game,” I pause, remembering something, “and her name is Livy to the girls. Do not call her Olivia to anyone other than me.”

“You got it boss.” he states.

Hanging up my phone, I place it down on my desk before turning back to the cameras. I see Olivia come out behind Ellie from the overflow room where we keep stock. They are both laughing and it allows me to relax my shoulders some.

Knowing Ashton’s minions are in my place of business always makes me uneasy; you never know the things they might try to get away with.

I have some paperwork to catch up on and I want to stay here for Olivia’s entire shift to make sure she does okay before I head home for the night.

Not that I care or anything.

Olivia

“S O WHERE ARE YOU FROM ?” Ellie asks me as we returned to the bar from the overstock room.

“Oh, um, New Jersey.” I tell her.

She eyes me. “You sure about that? You don’t seem too sure.”

She grins at me, and I cannot tell if she thinks I am lying or if she is just this way.

“Uh huh. Sorry, your question just caught me off guard.” I smile.

“Mr. Ricci normally does not call ahead about new hires like he did for you, so I just was wondering where you met him.” she says bluntly.

“A close friend of mine, Marcus, said he knew where I could get a job since I wanted to move out on my own. He called Mr. Ricci and here I am.” I grin at her amazing myself how fast I pulled that out of my ass.

“Oh, you know Marcus? He is so hilarious! And so handsome. Too bad he doesn’t like women, or I would have so already been on my knees for him.” she winks.

I laugh, “Yeah, he is good looking.”

I let her show me the different liquor areas and I try to gather all her information, but she is throwing me a lot of names all at once. I feel so na?ve and inexperienced not knowing a lot of the names on the bottles.

“Oh my gosh. You must enter our big contest coming up soon!” She randomly grabs my hand and squeals at me, a little too fake and high pitched that sends red flags all over my body.

“Sure, what show is going on?”

“Watch what I do tonight, okay? Tomorrow night you can be more on your own.” She walks up to the bar, completely ignores my question, and asks the guys that just took seats beside each other what they wanted.

They all eye me seductively and then all answer her, “Shots of liquid death.”

She nods and I watch her while trying to ignore them.

With ease, she lines shot glasses in a row in front of the men and runs three different bottles of liquor over the tops filling them to the brim.

“It’s our big Halloween show. Mr. Ricci goes all out. All of us can enter it. It’s more fun for us than it is for him. He hires judges and we get to put on our best Halloween costumes. Whoever wins, he takes out on a date for the night,” she beams, giving me whip lash because I thought she was just going to ignore my prior question.

“Oh, does he date anyone here for real or is it just to be a good boss?”

She laughs, “The man is as stone cold as they come. But those who have won before say he is a gentleman who buys all the top-of-the-line things for them.”

“Do they sleep with him?” Not that I care. I am just curious.

“Well, if they did, they never tell.” She winks, turning back to the bar topping off the men’s shot glasses again.

“New girl?” One of them asks me and I nod.

“Yes, she’s from Jersey so you all be nice to her.” she flirts.

I try to put on my best fake smile but every single one of them creep me out in their dark shirts, awful smelling musky cologne, and evil grins. There is no doubt, they all look oddly familiar, too.

One pulls a hundred dollar bill out and slams in on the bar top, “How much would this get me tonight?” he says to me.

I gulp. “What do you mean?”

He looks annoyed, “Will it get you to suck my dick?”

My eyes widen, but before I have time to reply, the man is being pulled off the bar stool and shoved across the floor.

“How about you take your filthy petty cash and get the fuck out of my bar?” Hayes says and all the men stand up.

Alan and a few more men stand behind Hayes, hands on their waistbands that I now notice hold their guns.

“How many times do I have to tell you fuckers to leave my ladies alone? How the fuck did you get in here anyways?”

The guy laying on the floor smirks, “Ashton’s men always have their way, Ricci.”

I think I might faint, these men are my father’s. If they recognize me, I am done for.

I try to cover my face as much as I can with my hair.

The guy Hayes threw slowly stands. “We are just out trying to have a good time, Ricci. Don’t be a party pooper.”

“Get the fuck off my property!” Hayes growls and it’s then I see the veins pulsing in his arms and neck.

The guy who offered me cash reaches for something behind his back but before he can grab it, Hayes has one of the other guys around the throat with his bicep and a knife under his throat. “Don’t even try it. I’ll slit your friend’s throat in less than a second. You can tell Ashton you caused him to lose a man.”

The place between my thigh’s pulses. Is this turning me on?

The man holds his hands up in surrender. “Alright, we are gone, Hayes. Just calm down.”

Hayes shoves the guy in his arms toward the others and they all scramble out toward the elevators. “Follow them and make sure they leave.” He tells his security, and a few men take off behind them.

He turns, facing the bar where Ellie and I stand. “Next time they come in I want to know about it. Where is Jessica?”

“I’m here. Sorry boss, had a few regulars come in.” She eyes me, “New girl?”

“This is Livy,” he points at me. “She is going home with you tonight. I’ll make arrangements for your pay until she can find somewhere for herself.”

She nods, “Cool. Hey, roomie.”

I halfway grin, still a little anxious from the men that were just here flirting with me. The fight or flight mode my body just experienced is making me a little light-headed.

“Alright ladies, back to work!” Hayes says, walking away from us back to his office.

M Y FEET ARE ACHING in these heels as Jessica wipes down the bar. Ellie went home about an hour ago; something about babysitter issues, so Jessica took over my training. I am quickly realizing I like her a lot more than Ellie.

“So, what do you think about the place?” she asks me.

I shrug, “It’s different.”

She chuckles, “Yeah, you can say that.”

She sits her cleaning towel on the bar and leans into me. “You were in Frances Ashton’s auction, weren’t you?” she raises an eyebrow at me.

I gulp, just hearing my father’s name makes me uneasy. “Ho-how did you know?” I stutter.

She grins, “Because you are too timid to be in a place like this out of want. I knew something was up when Mr. Ricci called us to give a heads up about a new hire and how urgent it was.”

She gets quiet, “I used to be you.”

I look at her, confused. Jessica couldn’t be more than her late thirties. Her long caramel hair is pulled back in a ponytail and her perky boobs peek out over her short tank top that is cut low. Honestly, she looks like a badass, I could not picture her being timid and afraid.

Eventually, I speak, “Did Mr. Ricci save you?”

She shakes her head, no, but replies, “Ricci Sr., his father, did.”

She sighs, “Mr. Ricci has not taken his father’s place for long now. He was away for schooling when his father died. Once he heard the news, they flew him home, giving him his degree early. The businesses still had to run, and he was to come home and take over his rightful place as The King of the Underworld.” She gestures around us. “This whole place is his Kingdom. The businesses he runs, are all his father’s doings. He was determined to only stay in drug affairs, they own the entire North American side of the trade plus other areas overseas. But when Ashton started selling women, Ricci Sr. decided that enough was enough, no children and women needed to be harmed to run this world.”

I nod, agreeing. “But this man, Frances Ashton, he thinks he is The King.”

She rolls her eyes, “He’s a man with a little dick who thinks because he has money, he can do whatever he wants with no repercussions. Ricci Sr. taught him a few lessons over the years. They were enemies as soon as the Ricci’s started messing with his most prized business: sex trade.”

The color drains from my face. “I met a woman while I was there, her name is Gloria. Do you know where I can find her?”

Jessica looks at me like her body went into shock, a tear creases her eyelid. “You saw her?”

I nod. “She was very good to me, I have some questions for her. I would like to find her.”

She shakes her head as if fighting back a thought then says, “No, I wouldn’t advise trying to find her. From what I heard from regulars that come in, she’s on Ashton’s radar now. I am just so thankful she is still alive.”

“How do you know her?” I ask, curious.

She wipes her hand under her eye to catch a tear before it fell. “She is the reason I got rescued. She put me before her and vowed to stay behind so she could help the others.” she says and then stands straight up and clears her throat. “Mr. Ricci has sworn he is going to save her but has not been able to yet. My guess is, if she is still alive, Frances has her on his radar to be his next baby maker. That son of a bitch deserves every beating Mr. Ricci is going to give him.” She grabs her towel and continues wiping down the bar forcefully.

I take a deep breath, releasing the air slowly out my nose, trying to slow my breathing. My father is worse than the devil. How can a man do this to someone?

Anger boils through my veins as a thought hits me; surely, he is not the reason my mother is dead.

Gloria knew something and I am not going to stop until I can ask her the questions I am needing answers to.
