CHAPTER 39

CREED

T aking the men closest to the perimeter is easy, and we advance closer to the building faster than expected. With St. Jude's drones, we locate exactly where Gabriella is being held—one of the rooms at the back of the building, with just Amelia and two men guarding her.

Kenzie and Hela, Eros' sister, make their way there, slipping through the shadows as the rest of us prepare for the assault.

The night air is thick with anticipation. The scent of damp concrete and rusted metal clings to the abandoned structure. My grip tightens around my gun as we signal to move in. Diego’s men are stationed around the building, but they have no idea what’s coming for them.

Flynn, Jenson and their men take the left side, their silenced weapons eliminating guards before they can raise the alarm. Heath and his MC brothers move toward the front, knives drawn for a quieter approach. The tech team are overhead with drones. Every movement is calculated, every breath measured.

Inside, the building is dark, but not enough to hide the movement of shadows shifting along the walls. I glance toward Mackenzie’s last position before refocusing. She has Hela with her. They can handle themselves.

The plan is simple—create enough chaos at the entrance to draw Diego’s men forward while Mackenzie and Hela slip through the back. It’s risky, but with the firepower we have, we can handle whatever Diego throws our way.

A single sharp whistle signals the start. The first explosion rips through the silence, sending Diego’s men scrambling. Bullets cut through the air, and the sound of bodies hitting the floor echoes in the space. We push forward, taking them down one by one.

Through the gunfire, my focus remains locked on one thing—getting to Gabriella.

And making sure Amelia doesn’t walk away from this unscathed.
