11. Aziz

CHAPTER ELEVEN

AZIZ

I leaned casually against the corner of a library bookshelf, the muted glow of sunlight through stained glass windows casting soft colors across my face. I tracked Evelyn as she walked purposefully out of the library, the hand adorned with the diamond ring concealed in her bag. I let my shoulders relax, satisfied. The spell I had cast on the ring, a whisper of compulsion designed to nudge her into keeping it, had worked flawlessly.

My thoughts flicked briefly to where I’d found the ring: prying it off the stiff finger of a wealthy corpse. The memory didn’t bother me. Dead fingers, rich treasures, all in a day’s work. With a happy sigh, I slid into step behind her as she exited the library, slipping into the natural rhythm of the crowd outside.

I walked into a nearby alley, crossing the threshold of the enchantment where Ian and Levi waited, invisible to humans. Within its bounds our words flowed freely, unheard by mortal ears.

Ian leaned against the wall, casually indifferent. “Well?”

“Worked like a charm.” I motioned toward Evelyn’s briskly retreating form. “She couldn’t resist it.”

Levi, lounging lazily on the opposite wall, rolled his eyes. “Not bad, but it’s still not that impressive. Shit, for all you know, she’ll hand it in to that douchebag priest and say a bazillion Hail-fucking-Marys or something.”

I brushed off the comment. “The ring is a tool. Trust me, she’ll keep it.”

As we fell into step behind Evelyn, keeping a casual distance, Ian broke the silence. “Has anyone checked in with Lucifer yet?”

Levi groaned dramatically. “Oh, I did. He made me check in before we’d even been here a whole day.”

“That sounds like him. Let me guess. He wasn’t happy with your attitude?” Lucifer didn’t have much of a sense of humor.

In point of fact, Lucifer invented the concept of micromanagement as well.

Levi scowled. “When is he ever?”

Ian winced, the corners of his mouth twitching with something like sympathy. “I know what that means.”

My mind went dark for a moment, memories of Lucifer’s punishments flashing vividly in my mind, abhorrent smells and tastes too close to the present.

When the Morningstar punished, it was always thorough, often cruelly intimate. The thought of his touch, particularly in that way, disgusted me, my aversion to men making it all the more abhorrent.

“You have my condolences, Levi,” I muttered.

Levi just rolled his eyes. “I’ll be fine.”

As we trailed Evelyn, we passed a dive bar, its flickering neon sign proclaiming: The Wet Spot.

Levi burst out laughing. “I love that name.”

I chuckled. “So do I. Fun fact. I own the bar owner’s soul.”

“Of course you do.” Ian snorted, shaking his head.

As Evelyn walked ahead of us, her focus fixed straight ahead, an idea sparked in my mind. With a subtle flex of demonic power, I let my tail extend magically, and more importantly, invisibly, from beneath my coat. It slithered toward her like a serpent.

Pushing the fabric aside, the phallic tip slid under the hem of her long skirt. I licked my lips as I brushed it against the sensitive skin between her thighs, positioning it just so, the tip nestling against her clit. Focusing intently, I held it there, letting my body’s heat melt into her.

Oh, yes. Her reaction was perfection. She stiffened, clearing her throat. After a moment’s hesitation, she subtly adjusted her walk, obviously trying to dislodge the phantom sensation without drawing attention to herself.

Her twitchy steps and flushed face confirmed she was struggling to maintain composure. Pride surged through me, stroking my ego. Making her squirm, watching her fight to hide the pleasure I gave her, sent a thrill straight to my cock.

I’d always loved the power rush of bringing a woman to the brink, controlling her pleasure. And with Evelyn, Little Miss Purity, it was all the more delicious. Breaking down her walls, making her give in to lust… I’d savor every moment of her inevitable fall from grace.

Ian and Levi immediately noticed.

Levi groaned in mock disapproval. “Aziz, really?”

Ian cocked his head. “I could give her a better orgasm with a borrowed dick.”

I ignored them, my focus razor-sharp on Evelyn.

Her walk grew uneven as she fought the growing sensation. Disorientation and anxiety played across her face. Stopping, she pressed a hand to the wall of a building, steadying herself. I kept the pressure of my tail steady and subtle, expertly drawing her toward climax.

When she finally peaked, her body shuddered almost imperceptibly. She clamped a hand over her mouth to stifle a gasp. Stumbling slightly, she quickly righted herself, face flushed with a mix of embarrassment and surprised pleasure.

I withdrew my tail with a satisfied wink to the others. “Well, well, our little nun’s not so pure after all. I got the first orgasm. Beat you both to it.”

Levi glared at me and curled his lip. “Not only is it her first with us, but it’s also her first ever. Well,” he conceded, “the first real one. We aren’t counting any dreamland wet dreams from puberty here.”

Holy fuck that was great news. I fought the urge to jump and pump my hands. Those fuckers could suck on this orgasm for days.

Ian opened his mouth to retort, but a sudden screech of tires cut him off. My head snapped toward the sound. A little girl chased a bouncing ball right into the street, directly into the path of a speeding car.

Fuck .

Instinct kicked in, and I broke into a sprint, letting myself turn visible—except for my tail of course. In a flash, I scooped the girl into my arms and leaped to safety, the car missing us by inches as it whizzed past.

The girl stared up at me, eyes wide with shock. I set her down gently, giving her a reassuring pat on the head. “Careful now. Roads are dangerous for little ones.”

She blinked up at me mutely before scampering back to the sidewalk and straight into a nearby home. I felt Evelyn staring at me. I turned around and confirmed it. Well, well. Looks like I just added heroic to her perception of me.

Evelyn approached me, recognition dawning on her face. “Thank you,” she said earnestly. “You’re the one who helped me before, aren’t you? At the shelter. I recognize you.”

I put my most charming expression on my face while my thoughts raced with calculations, trying to stay one step ahead. “Just glad I could help.”

She looked at me intently, searching my face as if trying to piece together a puzzle. I could almost see the gears turning in her mind, connecting the dots between the helpful stranger at the shelter and the heroic savior on the street.

“I don’t know how to thank you,” she said with genuine gratitude. “You seem to have a knack for being in the right place at the right time.”

I ducked my head bashfully. “Let’s just say I have a sixth sense for these things.”

A pure, unsuspecting, open smile spread across her face. Fuck me, that made me want to laugh. If only she knew the truth behind my sixth sense.

“Well, I’m grateful for it.” She turned back to the sidewalk but then stopped and gave me a warm look. “Take care of yourself.”

“You too, Sister.” I walked past her, Ian and Levi invisible beside me.

As soon as she was out of earshot, I murmured, “Is she watching?”

“Damn it, yes she is.” Ian’s voice crackled in my ear, confirming my suspicions.

Perfect. This little act of heroism had planted a seed in Evelyn’s mind. A connection, a sense of trust. And that was exactly what I needed.

“Smooth move, Aziz,” Levi said with grudging admiration. “Didn’t know you had a soft spot for kids.”

“What can I say? I’m full of surprises,” I said, my mind already racing ahead to the next phase of the plan.

Evelyn might have thought of me as her guardian angel now, but little did she know I was the devil in disguise. And I had big plans for her.

Once Evelyn was out of sight, I let myself fade back into invisibility, rejoining Ian and Levi. We waited for her to pass by and then trailed her as she made her way back to the convent, her steps measured and purposeful.

I couldn’t resist. I extended my tail once more, this time slipping it under her clothing with a more deliberate touch. I let it glide along her inner thigh, brushing against her most sensitive spots.

Evelyn’s steps faltered. A quiet sob escaped her lips as the tension of the day overwhelmed her. I could practically taste her doubt, her arousal, her shame. It was delicious .

Ian and Levi exchanged knowing looks but said nothing. Their smirks spoke volumes though. They knew exactly what I was doing.

“Having fun?” Ian asked.

“Always,” I said without taking my eyes off Evelyn. “You should try it sometime. It actually feels good. Unless being a brooding asshole gets you off.”

We followed Evelyn through the convent’s heavy doors without hesitation. Contrary to human myths, demons aren’t barred from holy places. We can go wherever we fucking want to.

Evelyn headed straight for Father Hudson’s office, her body trembling with suppressed emotion.

“Think she’ll confess?” Levi asked, leaning casually against the wall as she sat in front of his desk.

Ian scoffed. “To what? An inexplicable orgasm with no fantasy behind it? I doubt it.”

“You’d be surprised what these religious types feel guilty about,” I said as I positioned myself so that my tail stayed firmly between Evelyn’s legs as she sat. “I watched porn, I’m a sinner. I said a curse word, I’m a sinner. I ate a fucking crab leg, I’m a fucking sinner. It’s so tiresome.”

“Catholics can eat shellfish,” Levi said. “You’re thinking about Jews and Shia Muslims.”

“You know what the fuck I mean,” I hissed in irritation.

If Evelyn did confess, it could work in our favor. It would add to her shame, her sense of sinfulness. And that was something we could definitely use.

But if she didn’t... Well, that could be even more interesting. Watching her try to suppress these new, unfamiliar desires? Savoring her struggle to resist the temptation we’d be all too happy to provide?

Oh, it was going to be fun either way. I could feel it in my bones.
