Epilogue

Two Weeks Later
“Have you spoken to Andre recently?” I ask Sebastian as we all sit down for our meeting.
Sebastian leans back in his chair, moving around some files. “No actually, I was going to ask you the same thing. We both look up to find Jamison and Xavier walking into the room. They sit down, both staring at us quizzically.
“Did we walk in on something spicy?” Xavier jokes. My brother smirks but doesn’t say anything. I see a smudge of lipstick on his collarbone. It’s peeking out from where his suit collar normally covers. No one else would notice, except for me, because it matches the exact shade of red Kaz has been wearing lately.
‘ Lucky bastard ,’ I think to myself, while I stare at the mark. I’ve been stuck in a previous meeting with Sebastian and a client while that fucker obviously had the time of his life with our Pretty Girl. My phone suddenly vibrating in my pocket, pulls me out of my trance.
Unlocking the screen, I see a message pop through from Jamison and when I open it, I immediately groan under my breath. I look up to see him smirking at me and my thumb must slip because the sound of Kaz moaning and skin slapping immediately begins to play.
“Fuck yes!” Xavier says, reaching for my phone. “You know I can’t resist good porn.”
My eyes go wide and I watch in slow motion as Xavier’s hand moves toward my phone and Jamison reaches over, slapping it away with a growl.
“What the fuck?” Xavier asks, clearly confused.
Sebastian scoots his chair in and places his hands under his chin. “We are supposed to be in a fucking meeting with our phones silenced. Forgive me if I don’t feel like ever hearing my head of HR moan like that again.”
Like a lightbulb went off, Xavier immediately smiles wide.
“That was Kaz? Oh shit!” He turns towards my brother, “sorry man, I didn’t realize.”
“It’s fine,” Jamison clips. “What were you two discussing when we walked in?”
Sebastian gets the video call ready while speaking. “We were talking about how we haven’t heard from Andre in a few days.”
“Well, I know Sasha told me last week there was some weird stuff going on with the internet and electricity there. Maybe that’s the problem,” Xavier states.
“A problem with phone service as well?” It’s more of a rhetorical question as Sebastain gestures to the video call that won’t go through to Andre. I pull my phone out quickly and try to place a regular call to Andre but it sends me straight to voicemail.
“Try calling Sasha. His call went to voicemail.”
Xavier whips his phone out next and dials, placing it on speaker. I see my brother already on his phone out of the corner of my eye. The call to Sasha also goes straight to voicemail causing my stomach to churn.
“Maybe it is the phone service too?” Xavier says, lifting his hands up to his hair and running his fingers through. I can tell he’s already stressed out.
“They don’t have the same cell service,” Sebastian states. “Do you think Andre’s father would really let him walk around with shitty service? Something is wrong.”
“Indeed,” my brother says out loud, his face still buried in his phone. Our heads swivel his direction, waiting for whatever it is he just figured out.
He looks up at all of us, a clear look of uncertainty on his face. “Their tracking locations are gone. It’s as if they’ve both completely disappeared.”
