CHAPTER 24
GAbrIEL
It had been two weeks since Dillon had stormed out of his parents’ house, and they’d heard nothing from him.
If he intended to prosecute his dad for assault, it hadn’t happened yet.
Alex had been signed off work for a month.
The emotional toll of the last few months had taken a lot out of her.
Gabriel was slowly rebuilding his relationship with her, but she had done some hurtful things.
She was his sister, and he loved her, but things needed to change between them.
Yes, Dillon had treated her like shit, but she wasn’t an innocent bystander in the whole thing.
Gabriel had asked Dexter to connect Alex with some of his recruitment contacts.
It would be best for her to get away from working with Dillon.
She could get her promotion by moving companies as well; she had the experience and was well overdue.
Gabriel was surprised at how well his parents had taken to him being with Bobby.
He knew they found it weird, but they were being supportive.
It was probably partly driven by guilt for taking Alex’s side over his, but he would take it if it meant less drama.
He’d had enough of that to last him a lifetime, and it was only April.
He walked into Knights Corner after work to meet Bobby – well, Bobby and his brothers.
This would be the first time he’d met Martin, and he was nervous.
Neither of them seemed surprised to learn that Bobby and Gabriel were a couple.
They were sitting in a booth, chatting, and as Gabriel approached, they looked his way.
A big smile appeared on Bobby’s face, and he bounded over like an excitable puppy, pulling Gabriel into a kiss that was a lot more than a peck, but there were no tongues.
“That’ll take some getting used to,” said Ryan.
Both brothers stood up to shake Gabriel’s hand.
Bobby was on one side of the booth by himself, and he gestured for Gabriel to sit close to the wall.
Then, sitting next to him, Bobby grabbed his hand and kissed it, beaming at him.
How had Gabriel gotten so lucky? If it weren’t for his arse throbbing twenty-four seven, he’d keep having to pinch himself.
Bobby was a horny fucker, and Gabriel hadn’t had this much sex since his early twenties.
They’d turned Bobby’s room back into the home office, and also a storage room for all his trainers.
He had well over a hundred pairs, and kept buying more, but if it made him happy, Gabriel didn’t care.
They hadn’t spent a night apart since their first night together a month ago.
Was that all it had been? It felt like they’d been together for longer, in the best possible way.
“Look at these two all loved up,” said Ryan. “Our brother is years younger than both of us, earns more than we do combined, and is married to a man.”
“What can I say, bro? Some of us have it, and some of us don’t,” said Bobby.
Martin rolled his eyes, probably having heard this for years, and he was the middle child. He had likely needed to play the role of mediator many times.
“Gabriel, you know you can do better, right?” said Ryan.
Bobby glared at him. Should Gabriel play along or be honest?
“You underestimate your brother. He’s the perfect boyfriend.”
They might joke about the husband thing, but they had decided to refer to themselves as boyfriends.
They were legally married, and the annulment was off the table with the amount of “consummating” they’d done.
If they wanted to get divorced, they needed to wait a year, so they were going to see how things went between them.
If it didn’t work out, they’d get divorced, and if it did, they’d already be married.
It had been Bobby’s idea, and Gabriel had been happy to agree.
It wasn’t how he’d imagined getting married, but the idea of getting an annulment or divorce from Bobby wasn’t something he wanted to contemplate.
Yes, he was terrified he might screw this all up, but he knew Bobby felt the same, so they could be an anxious mess together.
“Have you heard anything from the shitbag?” asked Ryan.
“No, and I don’t want to,” said Bobby. “Hopefully, I won’t run into him in here.”
“No chance of that happening. He’s barred.”
“How?”
“I had a word with Langdon. He doesn’t have time for people who think like that. There’s no chance of you seeing him in here, and if he walks in, he’ll be leaving quickly.”
“Look at you being a proper big brother and everything.”
“Get fucked!”
“Ugh, can you two be quiet,” said Martin. “We’re supposed to be interrogating Gabriel.”
“What?” said Bobby.
Gabriel snorted.
“We have to check that he’s right for you.”
“He’s perfect. Keep your nose out of my business. If you want to be helpful, you can give me some links for blow-job tutorials. I need to work on my technique.”
Gabriel put his head on the table, as it felt like a blowtorch had attacked it.
He wished he hadn’t flippantly said only three guys had gotten his whole cock down their throats.
Now Bobby was determined to join that list. He was eager to learn, as he always was, but it was hard to focus on enjoying the blow job when you were worried your boyfriend was going to black out from lack of oxygen.
“There’s an excellent website I can send you,” said Martin, causing Gabriel to sit up straight.
“Send it to me now,” said Bobby.
“You are not looking at blow-job tutorials in public,” said Gabriel.
“I’m not gonna look now. I just want to make sure he doesn’t forget.”
Martin sighed and then opened his phone. A few seconds later, Bobby’s phone vibrated. He looked at the message and tapped on it before frowning.
“I think you sent the wrong link.”
“No I didn’t.”
“This is a tutorial on praise kink.”
Martin flushed and grabbed Bobby’s phone off him. He tapped a few things and passed it back.
Bobby looked again and smiled before he pressed something . . .
“If the penis is uncircumcised, and the foreskin is loose, use the natural lubrication to your advantage. It can be an acquired taste, which I personally find quite delicious. Be sure to grip the base, so you can control how much you put into your mouth at once . . .”
Gabriel took the phone from Bobby, stopped the video, and put the phone down on the table. Bobby looked like he’d just had a toy taken off him, Martin was still bright red, and Ryan was looking at his middle sibling with a shit-eating grin on his face.
“Praise kink, huh?”
“I hate you both!” said Martin.
Bobby and Ryan cracked up laughing. Gabriel kept a straight face.
It was hard to do because it was funny and mortifying at the same time.
If he hadn’t been here, would Bobby have just listened to the blow-job tutorial on speakerphone for all to hear?
There was no doubt in Gabriel’s mind that was exactly what Bobby would have done.
“Let’s order the drinks,” said Ryan.
They put their order in, and the evening didn’t have any more embarrassing moments – well, not for Gabriel.
Bobby’s brothers did like to rib him a lot, especially Ryan, but you could see how protective of him they both were.
It was lovely to see. Gabriel enjoyed talking to Martin.
They both worked in adult learning, albeit in very different industries, but they had a lot in common regarding their interests.
Ryan and Bobby talked about sports, and Gabriel knew he missed his rugby club.
“Langdon, do you know of any queer rugby clubs?” asked Gabriel when he was at the bar.
“Not my thing, but I think Oscar is part of one.”
“Gregory’s husband?”
Langdon nodded. Gregory was one of the owners of Knights Corner, but was more of an investor than someone who actively ran the place.
He was one of Langdon and Jason’s found-family brothers, and Sebastian, the other owner, was married to another brother, Charlie.
This was like a family place in more ways than one.
“Can you pass him my number?”
“Ask Jason. He’ll probably just give you Oscar’s number.”
“Exactly. I want to give the guy a choice in the matter.”
Langdon laughed. “Is it for Bobby?”
“Yeah, I think he misses playing.”
“Leave it with me. I’ll get Oscar to call you. I’ve got your number.”
“How?”
“Jason gave it to me when you two were going out one night, and he was in one of his moods. If he hadn’t come home, I would have called you.”
Gabriel laughed. Yes, that sounded like Jason. Well, how he was before he met Patrick. Gabriel picked up the drinks and walked back to the booth. He’d had nothing to be worried about. It had turned into a great evening.
Gabriel moaned into the kiss, as Bobby rubbed their cocks together.
He loved feeling Bobby’s weight on top of him, all solid muscle, and being pinned down and fucked senseless by him was his favourite thing to do before bed – or in this case, in the morning.
There’d been a fair few drinks with Bobby’s brothers last night, but it was Saturday, and they had no plans for the day.
Well, it appeared Bobby had plans, given how his hard cock was pressed against Gabriel.
“I want to do something different this time,” said Bobby.
“You don’t want to switch things up, do you?”
He would if Bobby wanted to try it, but topping didn’t do it for Gabriel, and he usually couldn’t even stay hard.
“I don’t really want to fart and follow through with a kidney.”
Gabriel cracked up laughing. “You sure you’re not straight, saying things like that?”
“What? I thought it was funny.”
“It was. So, what do you want to do?”
“I want to take it slow with you. I want us to take our time. I want to show you how much I love you.”
“You love me?” He heard his voice crack and felt his eyes water.
“Hey, no crying,” he said, kissing his tears away. “I love you so much, Gabriel. It’s not too quick for me to say that, is it? I’ve wanted to say it for a while, but I didn’t want to freak you out. I just couldn’t hold it in anymore.”
“I used to dream you’d say that to me one day,” he said, unable to stop the smile on his face.
“I’ll say it every day if it makes you look like that,” said Bobby, kissing him gently.
“You know I love you too, don’t you?”
“I was hoping, but it’s always nice to hear.”
“I’ll say it every day to you as well.”
They kissed slowly for a while, and before long, Bobby was sliding inside him.
They’d recently had the condom conversation.
Gabriel was already on PrEP and rarely went without condoms – and hadn’t since his last check-up – and Bobby had been tested after he found out about Alex and Dillon.
They’d wanted to feel closer to each other, and it couldn’t feel more perfect.
Gabriel moaned as Bobby buried himself as deep inside Gabriel as he could get, peppering him with gentle kisses. It was slow and perfect. Even at this speed, Bobby was focused solely on Gabriel’s pleasure. He squeezed his arse muscles, which caused Bobby to moan and thrust harder.
“I know what you’re doing. Let me set the pace, and I’ll bend you over the couch later and fuck you until you can’t walk.”
Gabriel chuckled. He’d happily do whatever Bobby wanted him to.
When Gabriel had first met Bobby over two years ago, he’d set him as the benchmark of what a perfect man could be, and nobody had ever met that standard.
He hadn’t expected this to happen. Bobby Kavanagh had been a fantasy, and now he was Gabriel’s future, and he would deliver on his promise to make sure this beautiful, kind, and sexy man knew how much he was loved every single day.
