Chapter Three #2

“Goddamn it, Stygian. Shut the fuck up and get out of me. This is my actual life you’re fucking with right now.

” He paced away as if he could leave Stygian behind.

If he shoved Stygian hard enough, he could shake him off.

The problem was, just as Stygian saw every truth about him, Taurus saw, knew, and felt everything Stygian did.

All he sought was a physical body and to be free of the evil that had created him.

He had been alive much longer than they realized.

Stygian hadn’t been created by Bodhi in this lifetime.

One of his many past lives had spawned him.

But every reincarnation still owned him.

He had been locked away in a cage for more lifetimes than he could count—only released when Bodhi used him for misdeeds.

If Taurus forced him out, he would go back to the cage where madness waited.

Taurus was two people at that moment. He couldn’t tell which of them was in control.

Maybe they were more equally matched than he had realized.

A low growl rent the air. “If you won’t thrust him out, I’ll tear him from you.” Stellar overpowered him. Neither Taurus nor Stygian were any match against the power of a supernova creation.

While holding on to his shirt with both hands, Stellar kept him locked in place. You will leave him. Stellar’s teeth tore into Taurus’ neck.

Taurus didn’t know what Stellar’s intention had been.

Maybe to weaken Stygian enough to pluck him from Taurus.

What happened was Taurus cried out and shook from the most powerful orgasm he had ever experienced.

Stellar sucked his neck, and another wave hit him.

He didn’t know if it was the combined orgasm of Stygian and his.

Maybe his complete loss of control came from Stellar’s mind connection.

Either way, Taurus was rendered useless.

He thought he might have blacked out for a second.

Stellar pulled away, looking just as dazed and shocked as Taurus felt.

A warmth encircled his throat.

Stellar’s gaze dropped to Taurus’ neck.

Taurus stared with a completely blank mind as a collar of diamonds made of tiny stars appeared around Stellar’s neck.

His hand shot to his throat. The same collar encircled his, but his had a small lock, showing him as a true mate of a royal.

Forever tied to Stellar. For a moment, they held each other’s gaze in complete astonishment.

He felt Stygian try to leave his body. Stygian couldn’t.

Taurus tried shoving him out. He couldn’t.

They went back to staring at each other.

Then three distinct voices sounded at once. “Oh, shit.”

That had really just happened.

After an hour of pacing and ranting to himself, River gave in to temptation.

River stepped into the human realm. He might be small and he always tried to be nice, but dang it.

River wasn’t weak, and he didn’t like mean people.

Not to mention, Bodhi’s treachery made River wonder if he could ever show his face in Faerie again.

He couldn’t believe this happened to him.

River didn’t even know how long Stygian had used him or what he had done.

River didn’t have to take this. He stamped his foot in irritation.

River stormed to Bodhi’s door and pounded on the wood. The way Bodhi opened the door threw kindling on his fire, and he didn’t know why. He had just opened it wrong, and River couldn’t explain that. Thankfully, Bodhi’s handsome face didn’t take the wind from his sails.

“You tricked me, you… you… cum-guzzling cocksucker.”

Bodhi didn’t even raise an eyebrow. “Yeah… that’s not an insult.”

“Ugh.” River stamped his foot again. “You’re just… you’re just…” He couldn’t think of a bad enough word.

“An asshole?”

River exploded into a yell before he could stop himself. “I don’t like that word.”

At his shout, Bodhi’s eyebrows rose. “Are you finished?”

He couldn’t stop. “No. You took advantage of my kindness. I want an apology.”

Bodhi shrugged. “Okay. I’m sorry.”

His droll tone was definitely more to egg River on than an actual beg for forgiveness.

“That’s not good enough. You…”

Without warning, Bodhi leapt forward and covered River’s mouth with his.

The tension drained from River’s shoulders. His hands automatically lifted to cup Bodhi’s face when he deepened the kiss. The entire experience was sexy and sweet. He had the tongue of a man who had done it all and done it well.

Bodhi pulled away a hair, leaving River dazed. “Did that help?”

River blinked. “Oh. There you are.” He didn’t get a chance to explain.

Bodhi hauled him inside. They tore into each other’s clothes.

He couldn’t get undressed quickly enough.

While River could have used magic, he couldn’t think clearly enough to do anything other than physically fight to get closer.

When Bodhi roughly shoved him onto the bed, he hit with such an impact that he bit his tongue.

The taste of blood filled his mouth. He didn’t care. Bring the pain. He wanted it.

When Bodhi crawled between his thighs with zero foreplay, River readied himself with a single thought. To heck with foreplay. He wanted the pounding.

Bodhi’s lips turned up in one corner. That’s exactly what you’re about to get.

Wait, had Bodhi projected his thoughts? Could he do that?

The question died a swift death as Bodhi slammed his way inside.

He was rough, bordering on violent. River wanted more.

Bodhi bent him like a pretzel and captured River’s mouth.

He sucked River’s tongue, doing something to Bodhi’s chest. The sexiness of the moment tugged emotions from him, making him feel stronger about the situation than he should.

Sex was sex. Then he swore he felt Bodhi’s orgasm build.

He couldn’t hang on. River wanted too much.

He scraped his fingernails down Bodhi’s arms, drawing blood.

The move was obviously the thing Bodhi needed.

He didn’t exactly moan. It was more of a growl.

Bodhi had one hand braced on the headboard and the other gripped River’s chin, keeping him in place and forcing River to hold his stare. River open-mouth struggled for air while whines escaped him. Blood ran down Bodhi’s arm straight into River’s mouth.

“That’s right, firecracker. Taste the damage you’ve done.”

River automatically swallowed. The first violent spasm of ecstasy hit. A bright light exploded between them, replaced by nothingness. Life vanished.
