“Fuck My head”
I can feel it throbbing, I feel like I want to throw up, or maybe I’m hungry. I turn over and see my phone on the nightstand, I should call Liz and let her know I am ok. I reached for it and suddenly it went off.
“Hey, Liz, what's up?”
Liz has always been the protective one out of us three, while Mary is the carefree and go-with-the-flow type I tend to be the neutral party in the end.
“Hey, how are you feeling?”
she asked me and I groaned,
“Honestly a little shitty could go for a big ass burger right now,”
I laugh and I hear her giggle.
“Well, wanna call up Mare and meet up at Billy bobs?”
I smile; she knows me so well. We have been going to Billy bobs since we were in high school. It’s one of our favorite spots.
“Hell yeah! I will call Mare,”
We hung up and I called Mary.
“Hey, my big booty baddie curvy like a lava lamp bestie, what's up?”
I laugh Mary always had a new nickname for me that was one of the many things we loved about her.
“Hey! Liz wants to meet up for burgers!”
I tell her and hear her gasp,
“At Billy Bob's burger joint?”
She asked and I gasped for dramatic effect,
“Of course, why would you even ask!”
I told her and we laughed. She agrees and hangs up saying she will meet us there. I started to get ready; I picked out a cute pair of leggings and a pink shirt. I put my hair up in a messy bun and walked out the door. I start up my car and start to listen to some Alex Warren. I started to drive to our spot, and the entire time I couldn’t stop thinking about Adonis.
I kept thinking about the way his eyes looked at me when we were dancing. When he put his hands on me the warmth from them wasn’t unpleasant, suddenly it hit me again the memories of what my ex said.
“Baby, should you really be eating that? My hands can’t even feel where your waist begins and ends or even where your stomach actually begins,”
I shook my head; I told myself I wouldn’t do this to myself anymore. I pushed his voice out of my head. I’m free from him. I won’t ever go back to that pathetic waste of space. I turn the music up louder to drown out my thoughts and start to sing along with APT by Rose and Bruno Mars, truly one of the catchiest songs I have heard.
I pull into the burger joint and see the girls waiting for me, I get out of my car and wave to them as I walk over. I hugged them and we walked in, I placed my order with the front clerk, and we went and sat down.
“So, what happened last night Lills?”
Mary asked me as I took a big swig of Mr. Pibb.
“Yeah, one minute you were dancing with that guy the next you were gone. You should have seen the look on his face.”
Liz says to me, and I look up at them, seeing the concern in their eyes.
“He was concerned?”
I asked them and they both looked at each other.
“Yeah, he wanted to go and apologize to you, did you not see him last night?”
I shook my head and they both looked concerned.
“Huh, guess he chickened out. I knew he was a coward.”
Liz says and Mary shakes her head.
“Well, whatever, he was pretty hot though!”
Mary says and we laugh she was always the boy crazy one. She wasn’t wrong, the way he towered over me and the smell of his cologne, suddenly I could feel myself getting flustered, I shook the thoughts out of my head.
“Well, it doesn’t matter I won’t be seeing hi-”
Suddenly I heard my phone go off and we all look at it like it was possessed.
“You don’t think?”
“No way how?”
We all looked at the phone as it dinged again, I breathed in and pick it up, I see a number I haven't seen it before,
Hey, is this ?
It’s Adonis
I turned to the girls, and we all looked shocked.
“What did he say?”
Mary asks and I shake my head and respond to the message,
Yes, it is. How did you get my number?
I send the message and wait for the reply, as we wait for the message our food comes out and it eases the tension a bit. We end up forgetting about the message and just end up having fun.
“Oh, I almost forgot! Jack went looking for you as well last night. Did he at least see you?
I shake my head and they both huff. I can’t help but laugh at them, I guess I’ll have to message Jack later.
Suddenly my phone goes off again,
That’s a secret Princess.
I shook my head and couldn’t help but think about the way he smirked at me the other night.
Well, I didn’t give it to you so you can lose it.
I say and turn my phone over. Just how did he get my number?
