Lillian

Mary and Liz help me clean up, we then go upstairs and look through my outfits.

“Oh, what about this Lilly?”

I see Mary holding up one of my dresses, it’s a short pink dress I used to wear a lot before Maxwell told me I looked like a pig in a blanket.

“I-I don’t know Maxwell always said-”

“Lilly, Adonis isn't him though?”

I take a moment to let that sink in a bit, maybe she is right, maybe he would think differently. I ended up putting the dress on and added my jean jacket to it. I Put my hair up in a ponytail and matched it with my white Converse.

“Lilly, you look so cute!”

I look at myself in the mirror and smile, I look ok, not cute but ok. I don’t want to tell them that because then they would yell at me and give me an hour-long lecture on why I need to be nicer to myself.

I’m here Lillypad.

I roll my eyes and look out the window and see him on his bike, he looks breathtaking. I shake my head and head downstairs. Liz and Mary walked me downstairs.

“We still meeting up at the library tomorrow Lills?”

Mary asks me and I nod.

“Good because we are going to want to know EVERYTHING.”

She whispers to me, and I smile.

“Of course,”

With that they nod and walk away, I walk down to Adonis, and he is smiling at me.

“Wipe that grin off your face dummy, it’s just dinner.”

I tell him and he raises his hands in defense, still leaving his smug grin on his face. I shook my head, and he handed me another helmet.

I look at him nervously,

“Well, are ya ready for the ride of your life?” His smile makes my heart skip a beat and I nod.

“Will I um will I fit on the bike?”

I ask, looking down at the ground holding the helmet in my hands.

I see his feet get closer to me and I feel his finger on my chin.

He lifts my head to look into his eyes and I forget how to breathe for a moment.

Seeing his eyes turn from a light jade to a dark emerald so close it makes my knees weak.

“Yes, Lillypad you will fit, don’t ever ask something like that again. If I say it’s so, then it’s true.”

He tells me while he caresses my cheek. I nodded and walked to the bike. He reaches his hand out to me, and I take it. He helps me on the bike, and I can’t help but feel nervous as I watch him get on the bike as well.

Suddenly I hear Maxwell's voice in my head.

“You really think anyone will find you attractive? Don’t make me laugh. No one will ever be there for you like I will.”

I shake my head trying to get rid of the negative memory.

“Alright, hold on to my waist Lillypad” I hear him say through our helmets. I nod and wrap my arms around him, feeling him stiffen a bit from the contact.

“S-sorry if I make you uncomfortable.” I tell him and he shakes his head.

“No Lilly, you didn’t make me uncomfortable in the slightest.” He says patting my arms. I relaxed a bit, and he started his bike.

“Hold on Lillypad, we are going to go fast.”
