Adonis

Sitting in my room and looking at where Lillian was lying just a day ago makes my heart ache. I never should have allowed myself to fall for her. I can’t have her. The best thing to do is let her go.

I want her to be happy, and if that means her being with someone else, then so be it.

I can feel the pain in my chest as I imagine her being with another man who is not me.

I can see her kissing him and my blood begins to boil.

I’ll kick his ass for touching her. I smirk to myself, yeah, I’ll kick an imaginary man's ass. I roll my eyes when I hear my phone go off.

“Hello?”

“ it's Liz.”

She sounds exhausted, almost wounded.

“Hey, is everything alright?”

“They have her. Your father took her. I am so sorry I tried to protect her; they just came behind and I didn’t see it coming.”

I don’t let her finish her sentence. I can't because my vision is starting to turn red.

“Where did he take her?”

“He said where you get the job done every time.”

My blood runs ice cold. I hung up the phone and called Noah.

“Hey, what’s up?”

“I need you to meet me at the warehouse, but don’t let anyone know you're there, bring Liam and stay out of sight.”

“Alright, what’s going on?”

He asks and I feel my blood begin to boil with rage.

“It’s time to end this with my father.”

I went to the warehouse and saw the cars out front; Liam and Noah messaged me saying they were already in position. I walked in and saw my father. Sitting in a chair grinning. I got closer and saw blood on his knuckles.

“My boy you finally came. I was worried that Elizabeth wouldn't inform you.”

He says to me with a sneer. I stop in front of him and scowl.

“Where is she?”

I demand to know and he simply tchs me shaking his head.

“, not even going to greet your father. I know I raised you better than that.”

He says to me as he stands and walks over to me. He then whispers in my ear.

“Now, it's time to finish the job.”

He gestures to his men, and they disappear. With every moment they are gone my heart beats louder and louder when suddenly they appear again. This time they have someone with them. They throw them on the ground. My father walks up to them and takes their mask off. There she was, my reason for living, my Lillypad.

I watched in horror as my father took Lillian by the throat.

“Pl-please don-”

I heard her gasp, she looked at me with tears in her eyes, and I finally saw something I hadn’t seen before in her eyes. Fear.

My Lillypad, my strong-willed, stubborn, brave girl was terrified and all I could do was watch.

“Oh, what to do, what to do .”

My father says to me I clench my fist wanting nothing more than to take this man down.

“Choose , do as I say or,”

His grip tightens on Lillian's throat.

“See me add yet another loved one to my trail of bodies.”

Lillian

’s father throws me to the ground, and I come to a stop at ’s feet. I feel pain everywhere, I can’t move the bindings on my wrists, and my feet are so tight.

“What will it be ?”

I hear his father ask him; I look up at his father.

“Why are you doing this?”

I ask him and he looks down at me.

“Because my son has become weak, and the only way to not be weak anymore is to get rid of the cause of it.”

He says as he kneels pulling my head up by my hair.

“You are the cause of his weakness Lillian.”

He tells me and punches me again. I can taste copper, and my vision starts to become blurry.

“Now finish this .”

He says to him, I look up at the man I know is my weakness, the man I have given my heart to, and see in his eyes he is just as trapped as I am. I see he too is afraid, but only one of us will make it out of here alive.

“What will you do ?”

I heard his father say and I turned to him again.

“You don’t know him; he is not some tool you use on your own accord.”

I yell at him, and he sneers at me.

“Finish this now .”

I look up at him.

“It’s ok”

I whisper tears begin to form in his eyes. I’ve never seen him cry, and yet he looked so beautiful with tears streaming down his face. One of his father’s men handed him a gun.

“Do it.”

I whisper. He cocks his head to the side as if wanting to fight this. I sit up on my knees and bring myself closer to him.

“It’s ok, it’ll be ok.”

I keep telling him and I see the doubt in his eyes. I see his lips begin to quiver.

“I love you.”

I tell him before the sound of a bang goes off, and my world is filled with darkness again.
