Sofia
Two months later…
After ten days in Greece, I was pretty sure I deserved a medal for not killing my mother. Fortunately, I needed to get back to work so she couldn’t guilt me into staying longer than I did. We got a lot done while I was there, but Mama still ended up staying in Greece for another month.
Ever since that night at the airport, we’d been inseparable.
After much debate, we decided that I’d move into her townhouse.
Even though we lived in the same neighborhood, her place was a little bigger and more modern than mine.
I’d thought about selling my house, but given how hot Seattle’s rental market was, I decided to get it fixed up a bit and rent it out for extra income.
Sara and I spent a couple of weeks going through our household belongings together deciding what to keep and what to give away. Since I worked for a refugee resettlement agency I was able to bring the extra items to work to help set up apartments for Seattle’s newest residents.
Tonight we were having our first dinner party as a way to introduce some of our friends to each other. Sara had roasted a turkey, and I’d worked all day making a baklava for dessert. Together we worked to prepare the potatoes and vegetables we’d serve with the meal.
We worked together well, and so far living together had been great too. To be honest, Sara and I were both a little set in our ways after living alone for so long, but we’d worked things out as they came up. Neither of us liked to argue so that helped keep the conflict down.
I wanted a peaceful life, and so did my love.
I felt Sara’s presence right before her arms went around my waist from behind. Pressing herself into my back, she nipped the shell of my ear between her teeth.
“What do we have left to do?” she asked.
I turned my head to give her a quick kiss on the lips.
“I think we’re basically done.”
“How about you come upstairs for a while then?”
“For what?” I asked, still focused on the preparation for the dinner party.
“I ordered a new toy that’s supposed to make a woman cum in less than two minutes.”
I turned in the circle of her arms, pressing my forehead against hers.
“Two minutes? That seems rather ambitious.”
“I’m committed to putting it to the test, baby.”
It passed the test.
