Chapter 46

CHAPTER FORTY-SIX

THEA

I rest my head on his broad chest, listening to the steady sound of his heart thudding against me, all while his tattooed fingers play with my tresses in a soothing motion.

His cum leaks from between my legs, but I’m grateful Massio had the foresight to place the towel on the bed. He used it to catch the pee, and then he rolled us over onto the dry sheets before he dropped down on his back with me in his arms.

“You ready?” He nods toward the test, and my mouth suddenly becomes dry. He doesn’t give me a chance to second-guess his question; he lifts the test and holds it up.

Pregnant.

I’m pregnant.

A gasp leaves me, and my hand slides over my stomach, then Massio’s thick palm joins it, cradling our baby.

My eyes well with unshed tears.

“You did so good, Little Brat. You made a baby for Daddy.” His smile is infectious, his excitement is everything, and for the first time in my life, I feel a sense of purpose.

I’m going to be a mama.

He bends down and places a kiss on my stomach before bringing his lips to mine. Our tongues toy with one another’s, and when he pulls back, we’re both breathless, panting.

Massio’s phone buzzes beside him, and a heavy feeling of resentment sweeps through me. I want to stay in his arms forever, in our own little bubble of contentment. Just me and Massio and our baby.

“Come on, Mrs. Marino, Let’s do this.” He taps my butt.

“Go get yourself ready.” Rolling me onto my back, his hazel eyes bore down into mine.

“For you,” he says, making my heart skip a beat.

“I need to go change. You peed on my shirt.” A mischievous grin spreads over his handsome face, and I burst out laughing.

The positive result might have taken my mind away from the fact that my mother knows about my relationship with Massio, but it doesn’t take away the ball of dread swelling inside me.

A gut feeling that something is about to go wrong, very wrong.
