Chapter 9 #3

“I understand, let's enjoy watching those two accomplices who look like little children.”

“They remind me of when they were children and played together. Even though Hermes is several years older, they always found some game to share,” she said, looking at them with eyes glistening with emotion.

“They look happy.”

“We're all happy, sweetheart.”

Seeing those brothers united made me feel nostalgic for my own brother, and I stepped away a bit to call Tom and wish him well.

I told him that I was spending time with my boyfriend and his family and reminded him again that in a few days I would be traveling with Hermes so we could all spend New Year's together.

I had already told Tom about my relationship with Hermes, and he was happy to see me in love and happy.

I also called Serafina and spoke with her and her parents.

After several minutes of fun and with no more fireworks, the Darwich brothers approached us.

“Shall we open the gifts?” I suggested.

“Let's go,” said Hermes, taking my hand and pulling me to go back inside the house.

“Baco, would you like to hand them out?” Hermes proposed.

“Of course,” he replied, crouching at the foot of the tree and taking the gifts to read their names and begin distributing them.

After distributing all of them, and there were quite a few because each person had bought gifts for everyone else, we sat on the living room sofas to open them.

I watched them and was delighted to see their faces of amazement each time they opened a package.

When Hermes opened the one I had bought him, I waited expectantly to see his reaction.

He opened the box and took the pen and fountain pen as if they were treasures.

“This one is from you,” he stated, looking at me with gratitude.

“Do you like it?”

“How can you ask me that? It's too much...”

“If you like it, I've achieved my goal. I bought it for you with much love,” I responded.

“They will always be with me,” he said.

“What wonderful gifts we have received!” exclaimed Catalina. “Sweetheart, you haven’t opened yours yet.”

“That’s true, my love. Open them,” said Hermes.

“I just didn’t want to miss a single detail of your faces when you were opening yours. I swear it was such a beautiful and moving moment.”

“Thank you all!” said Catalina.

At that moment, everyone was watching me, waiting for me to open my gifts, and I had to do it with three pairs of expectant eyes fixed on me.

The first one I opened was a beautiful blue blouse, a gift from Catalina.

I thanked her and promised to wear it the next time we saw each other.

The second was from Baco, who gave me a beautiful brown leather planner personalized with my name in gold, but the detail was that he had put a bunch of bookmarks that said: “see my friend Baco,” “have dinner with my friend Baco,” “go out with my friend Baco,” etc.

, etc. When I read it, I couldn’t hold back my laughter.

Hermes took the planner and looked at the bookmark details.

“Don’t even think about it,” Hermes stated. “At most I’ll allow one or two of these bookmarks and only if they’re during the day. The night is always mine.”

“You’re a damn control freak,” said Baco, pretending to be offended, but the rest of us couldn’t stop laughing.

When I had Hermes’ gift in my hands, I noticed how anxious he was for me to open it, and not just him, the others were also watching without blinking.

I assumed that since it had been so many years since Hermes had behaved this way, no one had any idea what he might have bought me.

Besides, it was his first gift because we had never given each other anything before.

When I tore off the wrapping, I found a small box from a well-known jewelry store, and when I opened it, I was fascinated by what I saw.

Inside was a beautiful gold necklace with a heart-shaped diamond pendant.

It was spectacular. I took it out of the box and looked at Hermes completely enchanted.

“It’s beautiful! I’ll always wear it too. Can you help me put it on?” I asked, as I handed him the necklace and turned so he could fasten the clasp.

“Done,” said Hermes, with a big smile.

I approached him and gave him a soft kiss on the lips.

“Thank you, my love.”

“It’s beautiful,” said Catalina, looking at us with that smile that hadn’t left her face since she arrived.

“After all, you turned out to be romantic,” said Baco. “We had to have something in common,” he added, with his usual boldness.

“Thank you for the gifts, they’re all incredible,” I thanked them, looking at everyone.

“We’re the ones who are grateful,” said Baco.

“I’m going to devour this book in a few days, I’ve always wanted to have it,” he added, lifting the book I had bought him.

“Thanks, Mom, for the tie, I’m going to look very sexy with this color,” he said, showing the red tie with blue details, but when he took Hermes’ gift, his eyes welled up.

“And thank you, brother, for this, it means a lot to me.”

He had bought him a set of brushes with a palette personalized with his name, it was a beautiful gift that truly meant a lot.

“Enjoy it. I have another one, but I didn’t put it under the tree because I want to give it to you personally,” he stated, and took a set of keys from his pocket.

“These are the keys to my apartment. It’s yours to use as your studio and have a place just for painting.

I don’t need it anymore,” he indicated, looking at me.

And that gift was more than significant for everyone.

For Baco, it meant that Hermes fully supported his passion, and I imagined there was no better gift than the support and understanding of his brother.

For Hermes and me, it also meant a lot; it meant that he was abandoning his bachelor pad forever, because I assumed that apartment was where he used to take his female friends. My heart beat happily.

After the gifts, we spent some time talking, and after two in the morning, Catalina and Baco left. As soon as we saw the cars pass through the gate, Hermes took me in his arms and carried me to the bedroom.

“Thank you for all this, my love,” he said.

“Thank you. I loved my gift,” I expressed, while kissing his neck and inhaling his intoxicating scent.

“And I loved mine,” he affirmed, as he quickly climbed the stairs.

“But now I want to unwrap my other gift. I want to take off all your clothes, melt into your body, kiss every inch of that glorious body that is all mine, and take possession of that sensual little mouth to capture all the moans I’m going to draw from you. ”

And he wasted no time, stripping me of all my clothes, leaving me wearing only the necklace he had given me, and fulfilling his promise not to leave a single inch of my body unkissed. Nor did I leave him untouched, as I kissed his magnificent body, delighting in his beauty.

“Ride me, I want you to straddle me like a beautiful ,” he asked, between gasps of pleasure.

Hermes was ready to receive me. He took both my hands and helped me lower myself onto him, sliding inside me. When he was completely inside me, he closed his eyes and threw his head back, emitting a long, husky moan.

“God, my love, you can’t imagine what you make me feel. Look at me, I want to see your beautiful eyes shining with pleasure when you come for me. I want to see what I make you feel,” he said, between increasingly stronger gasps.

The movements intensified along with our breathing and the beating of our hearts.

We moved frantically, but our gazes never parted.

He set the rhythm by holding my hips, a rhythm that grew uncontrolled.

He rose from the mattress frenetically. The moans grew louder and louder, and when we couldn’t take it anymore, we screamed forcefully, a liberating cry provoked by an orgasm that devastated us like a hurricane.

I collapsed onto his body, completely limp and with my heart pumping blood at a frantic pace.

He was the same, his heart seemed about to leap from his chest. We could barely breathe.

We remained joined for a while because we couldn’t move.

“Darling, what we feel is unique, it’s magical,” he said, kissing my face.

“We make the magic happen.”

“It’s true, you’re absolutely right.”

We fell asleep embracing, feeling our skin, our warmth, and the beating of our hearts. Those hearts that beat at a dizzying rhythm whenever we were together and that beat in unison when they joined in a unique rhythm, that of happiness.

The next day, being December 25th, we went to have lunch at Catalina’s.

To keep my promise, I wore the blue blouse she had given me and paired it with white pants.

The outfit looked beautiful. Hermes was dressed in jeans and a white t-shirt; casual clothes always made him look younger.

When we arrived at the house, Baco was already there, sprawled out on a lounge chair in the backyard reading the book I had given him.

Hermes stayed behind to take a call, and Catalina was in the kitchen supervising lunch.

I went to join Baco, and when he saw me, he sat up in the lounge chair making room for me and patted it for me to sit beside him.

“Come, sit here and let’s talk quietly before my controlling brother arrives,” Baco said with a smile.

“Are you enjoying the book?”

“It’s wonderful, thank you. Now I want to know how things are going with Hermes.

It’s obvious the man is in love and you’ve changed his life for the better, not just his, but mine too because I got my brother back, and my mother’s because she stopped worrying about her eldest son’s happiness.

But, as your friend, I want to know how you are. ”
