Chapter 21 Cassidy

Jackson was right. My room does have the best view.

“It’s cool you can see the pool, though,” I tell Marcus as we stand in front of the glass balcony door, looking out at their slightly obstructed view.

They sort of have a beach view, but there are a lot of palm trees in the way. The pool is directly below their room, so it’s a great spot to people watch.

“I feel weird watching people swim,” Marcus replies.

Amusement warms me as he looks away from the pool. “If I was down there swimming, you’d watch me.”

Marcus laughs and shakes his head. “Not in a creepy way.”

“I wouldn’t mind,” I say before rolling my neck a few times, trying to loosen the tension in my muscles.

Don’t get me started on how bad my hips and feet hurt. Even if I wasn’t averaging around 10,000 steps a day, they’d be killing me.

If I ever get pregnant again, I’m not traveling in those nine months. I’m going to sit at home, get off my feet, and actually relax.

Marcus moves behind me and gently massages my shoulders, his thumbs pressing into the back of my neck. “You should go get a massage.”

I almost moan because the pressure feels so good. He knew exactly what I needed.

“Why would I do that when you’re right here with those talented hands of yours?” I ask, a smile straying onto my lips.

He’s actually really good at this, but if he’s going to be massaging anyone, I would prefer it to be me. Not that I have any right to be possessive over him.

Marcus chuckles and kisses the back of my head. “You should relax for the rest of the day while everyone else is gone.”

I rest when I can, which isn’t very often during the day.

I’m always checking on people making sure that they’re having a good time and that they have everything they need, especially the bride and the groom.

Whether someone lost their phone or has yet to receive an extra towel from housekeeping, I’m on top of everything.

I’m not a graphic designer this week.

I’m the best damn maid of honor there is.

I actually have control over that.

“Maybe I’ll take a nice hot bath,” I sigh, my eyes fluttering shut as he increases the pressure on my aching muscles.

His hands steadily move downward, his fingertips sinking into my back. “You know, we have a huge bathtub.”

He can be so sweet and speak so gently, but when his voice dips low like that, it drives me crazy.

“Big enough for two people?”

Marcus responds by picking me up bridal style, the sleeves of his t-shirt pulling tight around his tattooed biceps. “Plenty of room.”

With an eager smile, I wrap my arms around his neck, holding on as he carries me to the bathroom.

As promised, there’s a huge bathtub across from the long bathroom counter and the mirror above it. White, hexagonal tile fills the room, and the counter is white marble.

It’s almost too bright in this room, but it’s certainly clean and fancy.

Marcus sets me down on the counter and turns the hot water on. “If only I had some candles.”

If anyone can make a moment romantic, it’s him.

“How are you single?”

I know he’s said that he hasn’t found the right person yet, but there has to be a deeper reason for why he isn’t out there dating to find the right girl. Something must be holding him back like the others.

Marcus turns to me and tugs his shirt off, putting his tattooed skin on display. He’s a work of art himself. “That’s a complicated answer.”

“Is it?”

Marcus strides over to me, his hands gliding up my thighs. “I could explain it or show you how glad I am that we’re both single.”

He’s one of my favorite people on the planet to talk to, but he’s looking quite delicious right now.

I answer by kissing him, my hands cupping the frame of his face.

Marcus undoes my black shorts and hooks his fingers under the waist of them and my panties. He tugs them off, my tank top and bra following soon after.

I drop my hands to his shorts, pulling on the waist until he takes off the rest of his clothes.

Marcus grabs the underside of my thighs and lifts me off the bathroom counter, carrying me over to the tub as hot water continues to flow from the faucet. He carefully steps in and lowers us, his back settling against the white porcelain side.

I twist around on his lap and shut off the water before resting my back against his chest, the hot water reaching just under my breasts.

“Good?” Marcus asks as he curls his arms around me.

“Very good,” I say before tilting my head back so that I can press a soft kiss against his lips.

Marcus places a hand on my cheek, holding me there as our kiss steadily deepens. His cock starts to harden under me.

I part my lips, my tongue brushing his.

“Let me help you relax,” he whispers to me before slipping one hand between my thighs.

A faint moan slips past my lips as his fingertips graze my clit under the water.

Marcus squeezes my breast with his other hand, his thumb teasing my hardening nipple.

I melt under his touch, spreading my legs wider so that his fingers can roam and explore. Every nerve in my body comes alive, making me restless.

Desperate for more.

Marcus kisses his way up my neck before teasingly grazing his teeth along my earlobe.

I shudder, goosebumps racing along the back of my arms.

“I love when you do that,” Marcus whispers to me, his fingers gliding back up to my clit to rub slow circles.

I writhe against him, grinding against his erection. The pressure low in my stomach builds, heat glowing between my thighs.

“Marc, please.”

Marcus removes his hand from between my thighs and helps me stand up. He steps over the side of the tub onto a towel on the floor, his hand taking mine to lead me over to the bathroom counter.

I overtake him and place my hands on the counter, smiling at him over my shoulder. “I want to watch.”

He lifts his eyes to peer over my head at the long mirror, a matching grin crosses his face. “You’re perfect.”

I arch my back, pushing my ass against him as he steps up behind me.

Marcus nudges my legs farther apart before sliding his cock through my folds. The head glides over my clit, sending familiar sparks of bliss through my body. “Damn…”

I breathe in sharply as he sinks inside slowly. Despite the stretch, I push back against him to take every inch, eager for more.

Marcus exhales, his hands roaming over my ass and hips. “You’re killing me, Cass. Look at you.”

My eyes shift to the mirror so that I can watch us, arousal seeping between my thighs at the sight.

Marcus grabs hold of my hips and slides out before slamming back in.

My hipbones thud against the edge of the counter, but any pain that I feel is quickly overridden by the pleasure that follows.

Marcus goes slow and deep, burying every inch of his cock inside of me with each thrust. He hits that spot that makes my legs weaken over and over, the inside of my thighs growing slick.

“Fuck, so good,” he groans, sliding one hand up my back to sweep my hair out of the way.

He leans over me, kissing between my shoulder blades and on the back of my neck. His hands roam in different directions, one caressing my breast and one disappearing between my thighs.

I drop my head as his fingertips find my clit again.

“Eyes on me,” he murmurs near my ear.

I lift my gaze to the mirror, meeting his eyes as he rocks into me faster. The faint pulsing between my thighs intensifies, building with the heat. “Oh…please…”

Marcus presses his forehead against the back of my head, breathing as heavy and fast as me as we get closer and closer to the edge. “I can feel you getting close, baby. That’s it.”

His eyes are dark and hungry, and the sight of sheer desire on his face turns me on even more. I didn’t even think that was possible.

He pinches my nipple, and it’s over for me.

My walls clamp down on him as I finish, my body trembling hard.

Marcus groans and spills inside of me, his body stilling.

I breathe in deeply as the intensity fades, leaving me feeling warm inside and out. I smile at him in the mirror, my cheeks pink and flushed.

“That was a nice bath.”

Marcus chuckles. “The water is probably cold now. I could drain it and start over.”

As nice as it would be to actually take a relaxing bath with him, it’s probably for the best that I head to my own room. I don’t want anyone to catch me in here.

Especially naked.

“It’s fine. I’m going to go back to my room and get some actual rest,” I tell him.

“You sure? You can take a nap here if you want. The guys shouldn’t be back for a while,” Marcus asks as he gently rubs my back.

I can hear the hope and longing in his voice. It’s already hard to tell them no. It’s especially hard when they sound like that.

“I don’t want anyone to find me here or see me sneaking out of your room. I should go while most people are gone.”

Marcus’ mouth twitches like he’s about to frown, but he nods and pulls out of me. He grabs a washcloth and hands it over to me so that I can wash up.

“I’d walk you back to your room, but I guess that would defeat the purpose of you sneaking out of here.”

I kiss him on the cheek, guilt stirring in my stomach. He’s such a good guy. All of them are.

If they weren’t Ryan’s friends, I’d stay with him without hesitation. I wouldn’t have encouraged Jackson to leave my room the other day, and I wouldn’t have gone back to my room alone after spending time with Tyler on the beach.

But they are Ryan’s friends.

That changes everything, and our sneaky hookups can only be that.

Once the wedding is over, I don’t see how we can continue things without really being reckless.

“I’ll see you tomorrow,” I tell him once I pull my clothes back on. “Thank you again for the bracelet.”

Before I can leave the bathroom, Marcus crosses over to me and cups my face, his lips pressing against mine in a soft, lingering kiss.

He doesn’t want to let me go.

Part of me wishes that I was crazy enough to not go.
