Chapter 50

Chapter fifty

Annalise

“Mission cancelled. You look too sexy for anyone but me to be looking at you,” Aiden groans when I come out of our bathroom from changing into my hot pink thong bikini.

“I wish that were an option, Ace, but the pool party is kind of a big deal.” I say, pulling my cover-up dress on, “And you have to say that, you’re dating me.”

“Married to you,” he corrects, waiving his hand with his wedding band on it at me as he slides his sandals on.

“Hades and I are leaving to hunt now. We aren’t going far, so call for me if you need me. If not, we’ll meet you where we dropped you off,” Tyr tells me.

“You go get all those tasty sheep. I’ll see you when you get back.”

“I’m still not a dog you need to praise, Faren,” he growls, but I can hear the underlying amusement too.

After getting checked into our room an hour ago, Aiden and I have had just enough time to eat our lunch that we picked up on our way here and get ready for the kickoff event that's about to start.

We’ve been discussing our plans all week, and as uncomfortable as talking about our sexual limits with other people was, there's no denying we signed up for this when we became Ghost Walkers. Missions like these happen, and that’s why they encourage us to stay single while we're on active duty.

But we’re here, together, and going to do what we have to do for the mission while we keep our jealousy in check.

Ok, so Aiden is much more confident in his ability to do the last bit than I am, but it’s not like I really have a choice.

I take Aiden's hand as we head down to the pool for the first phase of the weekend.

Our plan is to draw just enough attention to get our targets' interest, then try to distract Mr. Blane in the pool so i can steal his glass, but we also can't do so much that either of them want to split off to a playroom yet.

Aiden agreed to hold off on getting his portion done until tonight at Casino Night since that will be my best chance of getting my code phrase from my target.

Spotting Julian and Cassie when we walk in, I can't help the slight flutter of nerves that rush through me.

Aiden leans in then, nipping my ear. “Show time, you ready?”

I seductively take off my bikini cover, a show meant for Aiden, but I know there are just as many people here who like to watch as couples looking to swap partners.

“Gods, I can’t wait to see your belly round with our babies, Sweetheart,” he says, eyeing me hungrily and gently grazing my bare stomach.

“Stop daydreaming and make ‘em want us, Husband.”

The last word is barely out of my mouth when his right hand curls into my hair, pulling me into him as his left hand squeezes my ass. His tongue tangles with mine, and just like it always is with Aiden, I’m quickly lost to the kiss and reeling for him to lay me on this lounge chair to fuck me.

Aiden pulls away from me abruptly, smiling against my lips. “Was it what I said, or is my girl from the taxi back, getting all worked up from having an audience?”

“Who said it can’t be both?” I ask breathlessly against his lips, already wet before I’ve even set foot in the pool.

He chuckles, pulling away, “Unfortunately, that’s not what our new friends like, but I’ll make sure you're fully satisfied tonight.” He spanks my ass, but it’s not nearly as hard as I wish it were. “Why don’t you go get a drink from the swim-up bar?”

“Aren’t you going to tell me if we got the Blanes’ attention?”

“He’s adjusting his tiny dick, so I’m going to say yes.”

I roll my eyes.

“It may be unfair to compare when you have an anaconda, Ace.”

“Incoming.”

“Oh my goodness! I can’t believe the Beach Bash Newlyweds are here!” Cassie’s sweet-as-sugar voice says as she pulls me into a hug.

“Cassie! It’s so great to see you again!” I say, trying my best to hide my relief at her apparent sobriety.

It had been a major concern for Aiden and I after I told him about her stumbling around drunk at Tara's, and Tara's comment that it was a frequent state for her to be in at events.

“I am so surprised to see you two here. There is no way your newlywed stage is over that fast!”

“Definitely not, we just wanted to give this a try.”

Aiden and Julian, the Viking God, shake hands and quickly play catch-up on how busy Aiden’s fake law firm has been and the new business Julian just acquired.

“Well…if you haven’t already committed to anyone else, maybe we can swap tonight?” I hear him ask Aiden, and Cassie looks to me at the same time for my answer.

“That sounds like fun, but we’re new to all of this, so we’re just planning to play for a bit, then end the night together. We wouldn’t want to hold you back from having fun,” I say half-heartedly as I exaggeratedly check Julian out, trying to keep his attention fully on me.

“I appreciate that, but I can confidently say that we’ll both be more than happy with whatever you two are willing to do!” She strokes her hand down Aiden’s arm as she continues, “We prefer to separate, but we can stick together if it makes you more comfortable.”

My jealousy spikes, but this is exactly what we need. “Separate sounds great to me.”

Aiden nods and gives me a quick kiss before I’m being swept into Julian’s arms.

“Thank fuck. I don't know if I could have kept my hands to myself much longer!” He says, running us toward the water.
