I stare through the stained-glass windows of the hall.
Isabelle can’t see me watching her but she knows I’m still out here.
She’s talking to her little group of friends. Mackenzie is standing next to her, probably making a joke about someone or spreading some kind of gossip. Whatever it is has the group laughing.
Isabelle barely smiles. She still looks shaken from seeing me earlier.
Now that Thorne and Annika are gone she’s lost and vulnerable again.
Just the way I like her.
I’ve watched her for years but back then I wasn’t sure what part she played.
Now I’m sure .
Now I know what the sweet little Lolita doll did .
And I have her just where I want her.
Everyone who’s not me is my enemy.
And she is enemy number one.
She and I are just beginning.
I can’t wait to see how we’ll end.
