Chapter 22
A big stormcame through last night, and because of that, we couldn’t film the entire day due to the damage it caused. We ended up having the day off. I couldn’t remember the last time I had the whole day to myself, and it came at the perfect time. Since the news broke yesterday, my team hadn’t released a statement.
They were waiting for me to pull the trigger on that one.
After we filmed our lovemaking scene, we were thrown into the waterfall scene that made Blue Lagoon seem like it was child’s play when it came to cinematography spice. During filming, not once did the camera get my breasts, and it was all thanks to Aires and the placement of his body and arms or hands on me.
B. Night didn’t have one problem with it. He told us the way we captured it was perfect and that we didn’t need to refilm it. By the time we made it back to the house, Aires didn’t waste any time thrusting balls deep inside me in the shower for the next hour.
Our bodies never had a problem connecting. They could always speak for themselves. I slept in Aires’s arms, and this morning, we were given the news that we had the day off, and I was thankful for it. I think we both needed some time together when we weren’t interrupted by one thing or another, which seemed to be turning into a reoccurring theme between us.
I showered, dressing in jeans and a crop top with long sleeves fitted to my body. Making my way downstairs, I found Aires in the kitchen, and he was already dressed for the day too. He wore his signature look of jeans and a hoodie. There he was, leaning against the counter with his phone in his hand as he drank what appeared to be coffee.
This man looked like he just stepped out of a GQ magazine with his sculpted jawline and messy hair. Aires was born to be behind the camera. He was storybook handsome without even trying. It was just his vibe, and I couldn’t get enough of him.
However, that didn’t stop my desire from wanting to rip him a new asshole for not asking me how I felt about his statement to the press without discussing it with me first.
“Hey,” I greeted, standing in front of him.
He slipped his cell phone into his back pocket, smiling at me.
“Everything okay?” I asked, feeling as if I was walking on eggshells with the press. Before he could answer, I added, “Are we ever going to talk about what you told the media yesterday? Because I still don’t know the full story.”
He eyed me skeptically for a second and then zeroed in on me. “You really want to start our only day off this way?”
I’d been ignoring my calls, texts, and the internet like it was the plague, so he had a point.
But I still couldn’t help countering, “You tell me.”
“Bay.” He shrugged. “I did what I had to do.”
“Which is what?”
“Protected you from strangers thinking you’re just another piece of ass to me.”
Hearing him say that knocked me to my core.
It only intensified when he revealed, “I told them we’ve been on and off since The Kids Club, Bay. That’s all I had to say.”
I swallowed a little better. “Alright, that’s not so crazy. I can work with that.”
“I thought so.”
“So… now what? What happens next?”
He stepped toward me, brushing the hair away from my face. “What do you want to happen next?”
I bit my lower lip. I guess if I could thank the press for anything, it would be this. At least this made it much easier for me to decide what I wanted to begin with.
Him.
“Well…” I stood on the tips of my toes and got right under his lips, placing my chin on his muscular chest. “I love that we don’t have to hide anymore.”
He angled his head, softly grazing his lips on mine. “Is that right?”
“Yeah, that’s right. What do you think about that?”
I wasn’t used to experiencing these emotions.
I wasn’t this girl. Ever.
This moment.
This was for me.
Which scared me more than anything because this was him. It was Aires, the one guy I compared every other man to.
He was the first to break the silence between us, calling me out, “Are you thinking about all the ways this could go wrong?”
“Am I that obvious?”
“You do realize there’s nothing you could do to turn me off, right?”
Our stares connected.
“Would it help if I told you I have a fun day planned for us?”
“So you’ll have expectations?” I teased.
“I’m a man. The only expectation I have is to make you come in my mouth.”
“Oh,” I mocked. “Like all the other girls?”
“And what kind of girl is that, Bay?”
I shrugged. “Mostly models.”
“Wow.” He flinched. It was quick, but I saw it. “You’re actually judging me?”
I felt bad and was about to apologize. “I’m so?—”
“For your information, I didn’t have a type until now. You could consider my cock an equal opportunist. He just loves to be taken for a ride.”
I cocked my head to the side. “Until now?”
“Yes, until now. Until you.”
How many women has he said those exact words to?
I couldn’t help myself. “And what type am I?”
“You, gorgeous, are the type of woman you take home to Mom.”
“Your mom? And how often do you do that? What number am I on your roster of women meeting your mother?”
He cocked his head. “Do you really want to know the answer?”
“That many, huh?” I smiled.
“Bay…” he coaxed, kissing my lips. “I’m not spending any more time with you talking about other women.”
I kissed him back. “Good answer.”
With that, he grabbed my hand and led me to the chauffeured SUV. No matter how many times I begged, he wouldn”t reveal our first destination. I wasn’t much for surprises, but with Aires being the one delivering them, it made it a much different story.
