Chapter 10

Chapter Ten

Gabriel

Istorm into the nearest bathroom and get into the shower.

Within seconds, I have my cock in hand, stroking myself to the memory of seeing Aurora come from my touch.

She is going to drive me insane. No one has ever gotten under my skin like she has before.

Asking me about my family. Not many people in my life know about the true horrors Giovanni did to my mother and father when I was a boy.

Only my right hand, Leo, and a few other trusted men in my inner circle.

I jerk myself off harder and faster as if I need to remove Aurora from my mind. She is getting close to finding out my true vulnerabilities. The fact she saw me have a panic attack is bad enough. No one has ever seen me like that or if they have, they always end up dead.

I’m a man who kills without remorse. George’s death was nothing to me.

It was easy enough to cover up. Leo made his death look like a car accident rather than a murder.

Ginevra hasn’t asked me any questions, even though she was here the night of her husband’s death.

She was never happy with him anyway. But she’s not the woman I’m thinking of right now.

Aurora’s taste and smell is branded in my mind. I married her to possess her but now she’s sinking in closer to me and I’m not sure what to make of it.

The memory of her coming on my hand hits me and I finally find my own release. It doesn’t provide me with any comfort though.

Aurora is still a problem I don’t know how to fix.

I get a lead on Giovanni.

Leo and I with one of my other men, Rocco, head to the area he was last spotted near: a secluded mansion in the countryside.

The beautiful scenery of olive trees doesn’t provide me any comfort. Not when I’m getting closer to killing the man who killed my family.

“Are you sure about this?” Rocco asks. At fifty, Rocco is the most seasoned mafia man out of us but he never strived to be at the top. Said it always took away from his daughter, Lucianna. “We don’t have enough men with us to invade his house. If this even is Giovanni’s house.”

“He was spotted here,” I say. “He’s here. This fucker can’t hide forever.”

“But he has a team of men around him at all times. I’m not sure we should do this today. We should have more men with us. You have the power, Gabriel.”

“I agree. We’re here so I can see Giovanni with my own eyes. And if he is here, we’ll come back with more men.”

Rocco relaxes. “Good.”

“If it were me,” Leo says, “then I’d go in there and shoot every one of those fuckers up.”

“It’s a good thing you’re not the boss then,” Rocco replies, shooting Leo an annoyed look. He’s always hated how impulsive Leo can be.

“We’re here just to observe,” I remind them. I stop the car down the street from the mansion. It’s close enough to see the front entrance but far enough away to avoid being detected. “I just need to see Giovanni with my own eyes and then we’ll go.”

“How has married life been treating you?” Rocco asks. “I admit, I was shocked when you announced you were getting married to a woman no one knows.”

“Married life is fine,” I grit out. “And don’t talk about my wife.”

Rocco nods, understanding completely that I don’t share much.

“I still think it was strange to marry her,” Leo comments. “I don’t get it. You could have married someone for political gain. But some random girl?”

I grip the steering wheel tighter. “Aurora isn’t just some random girl. And I suggest you stop talking, Leo. We may be friends but that doesn’t mean you don’t piss me off sometimes.”

“Sorry, boss,” he murmurs.

None of us says a word as we watch the house. Hours pass by until finally someone steps outside.

It’s a middle aged man. Greying hair. Sunglasses to hide his wrinkled eyes. White suit that costs more than some people make in a year.

It’s Giovanni. I would remember the man who killed my family. The man who taught me how to be a member of the mafia and who gave me my scar when I tried to kill him.

He managed to escape. I grew my empire. And now he’s tucked away, hiding. But I have finally found him after all these years. He needs to fucking die.

I open my car door without even thinking about it.

“Gabriel?” Rocco asks, startled. “What are you doing? We can’t attack right now. We don’t have the men.”

I thought I would just come here, get a look at Giovanni, and make a game plan. But seeing him now, all I can think of is how he cut my mom’s stomach in half. How her unborn child came out of her.

I need to end this man’s life.

Leo and Rocco scramble out of the car after me as I rush forward.

“Gabriel,” Rocco hisses.

“I say we kill these fuckers,” Leo says. “It will be fun.” He pulls out his gun but Rocco places his hand on Leo’s arm.

“Stop. Gabriel, be smart about this. We don’t have the manpower.”

I don’t listen. I can’t listen. I surge forward with my gun drawn and make it to the end of the driveway. I have Giovanni in my sights.

He stops in his tracks when he sees me. I aim my gun and fire at him. One of his security guards runs in front of him, stopping the bullet. Giovanni rushes to a nearby car. I keep firing at him but his security fires back. I hiss when I feel a pain rip up my arm. I’ve been shot.

“Gabriel!” Rocco screams, grabbing my arm and pulling me back. “We have to leave. We can’t take them all on.”

Giovanni’s security team – of which there are four – all point their guns at me. Rocco is right: I can’t take them all on. But I need Giovanni dead.

I start to run towards the car he’s in but Rocco pulls me back.

“You will die,” he hisses into my ear. “And your death will be for nothing then.”

Leo starts shooting at the security guards and they fire back. I watch as Leo gets shot in the arm. He will die if we don’t leave right now.

“Get back to the car!” I shout. I glance at Giovanni in his car, smirking at me. This motherfucker thinks he is going to win. But I can’t get to him. I’ll be killed.

Rocco grabs my arm and shoves me towards our car. Leo is still firing at the guards while his arm is bleeding.

I make it into the car, as do Leo and Rocco, and I drive away from the mansion. Giovanni’s guards give chase.

“What the fuck were you thinking?” Rocco shouts. “Giovanni knows we know where he lives now. He’ll go on the move again. You wanted him dead. You! You fucked this up, Gabriel.”

“I know,” I growl, keeping an eye on the cars behind me. I need to ditch them. “But I saw Giovanni and I… I just had to kill him. I wasn’t thinking.”

“No, you were not.”

“They’re getting closer,” Leo says, motioning to the cars behind us. “You have to lose them.”

“I’m trying.” I pick up the pace until I can put some distance between us. My arm fucking hurts from where I was shot. My blood is seeping onto the nice leather of my seat. Fuck.

What was I thinking? I wasn’t thinking. I lost my fucking mind when I saw Giovanni and now I fucked everything up.

I make it into the city with the cars still following behind. At the first red light, I run through it, putting cars between me and Giovanni’s men. I pick up my speed even more until I lose sight of them.

I don’t stop driving until I make it back to my mansion. Giovanni doesn’t know where I live. He won’t find me here.

He won’t find Aurora.

I slam on my breaks, causing Leo to slam against the backseat.

“The fuck?” he mutters.

I get out of the car without a word.

“Gabriel?” Rocco asks, following behind. “You’re bleeding. You need to get that looked at.”

“I’m bleeding too,” Leo says. He stumbles out of the car, gripping his arm.

“That’s because you were firing at those guards and being an idiot.”

“Gabriel is the one who started it. I was just following him.”

Rocco sighs. “Gabriel –.” He reaches out for me but I jerk away.

“Just go home, you two. Stay safe. I know I fucked up. I don’t need a lecture.”

“We’ll find Giovanni again,” Leo says. “I’m sure of it.” But even he doesn’t sound convincing to my own ears.

“I just need him dead,” I growl.

Rocco places his hand on my arm. “We’ll get him. But you can’t lose your cool next time or you’ll be dead and I like having you as a boss, despite you being younger than me.”

“I know.” I don’t say anything else as I storm inside my house. Rocco and Leo can get themselves home.

In this moment, I know I need to see Aurora. I went into her room the other day to find her touching herself. The reason I went into her room in the first place was because I just wanted to see her. I couldn’t get myself to admit that though.

I need her.

I find her in her room, gazing out the window, looking like a trapped prisoner. I guess she still is my prisoner despite being my wife.

She startles when I come in. “Gabriel?” Her eyes flick down to my bloody arm. “You’re bleeding. What happened?”

Without a word, I go over to her and she sits down on the window seat, gazing up at me with an unreadable expression.

I grab her face and bring my lips to hers. Aurora doesn’t hesitate to lean into my touch. She may claim to hate me but her body doesn’t.

I kneel down before her and drag her hips to the edge of the seat.

“Gabriel?” she gaps when I pull back from the kiss. I shove her dress up and pull her panties down. “You’re bleeding.”

“I don’t care.” I prop her legs up on the seat. Locking my eyes with hers, I bring my mouth to her pussy. Aurora’s hips buck forward.

“Gabriel,” she gasps, sounding shocked. I haven’t fully claimed her this way yet. It’s time.

I lick over her little nub, tasting her wetness seeping out of her. God, she tastes good. A little fruity and musky at the same time. I could eat her out for hours.

I grip her thighs, opening her legs wider. Aurora leans back on her hands, her head bumping against the window. That doesn’t stop her from letting out a soft moan.

I keep my eyes to hers as I lick her all over. Her clit. Her folds. My tongue finds her entrance and I slip it inside. Her eyes widen.

I fuck her with my tongue like I’ve been wanting to for the past few weeks now.
