Two months later . . .
Glimmer pouted with her arms crossed. Gideon chuckled as he glanced at her while he drove.
“Fix ya face.”
“I don’t understand why you forbid me to see the house since we purchased it.” Her pout somehow got more intense, but Gideon only found it cute. He was sure that pissed her off real good, but he couldn’t help it. Glimmer was cute. Cute as hell, and he would never stop thinking so.
“Relax, baby. We’re about to go see it right now.”
He didn’t want her to see the house for a couple of reasons.
The next time she laid eyes on their home, he wanted it to be fully decorated and furnished based on her preferences.
This was a big deal. It was both of their first homes, and he wanted her to have the luxury of sitting back and allowing him to handle everything.
The other reason was a surprise that he knew would top this day off right.
They pulled into the driveway of their new home, and Glimmer’s eyes lit up. She clapped excitedly before she undid her seat belt. When she reached for her door, he stopped her.
“Don’t you dare.”
Her pout was back as she cut her eyes at him. “Well, then, hurry up.”
Gideon got out of the car and quickly rounded it, at his wife’s request, and helped her out of the car.
Together, they walked hand in hand toward the front door. Gideon unlocked it and pushed it open so they could step inside. The gasp that fell from Glimmer’s mouth made him smile.
“It looks just like I pictured it,” she said as she looked around the foyer with high ceilings and light sage green walls. Everything was decorated based on her decisions, and Gideon made sure the interior designers executed everything flawlessly.
He kept an easy pace as he followed behind her while she checked out every room. She zipped from one corner of the house to the next in pure delight. Gideon felt light as a feather as they walked through their new home together.
“You like it, baby?” he asked as he walked up on her from behind. He placed his arms around her waist and kissed the top of her head as they looked out the large window in their master bedroom. It overlooked the backyard, which had a pool and a full outdoor kitchen.
“Like it? I love it.” She turned around and nuzzled into him.
“It’s perfect, ain’t it?”
“The most perfect.”
Gideon tilted her chin so she looked up at him, and he kissed those lips he could never seem to get enough of.
Glimmer stood on her tiptoes so she could wrap her arms around his neck.
Never one to make his baby strain, Gideon lifted her.

“I think we have one thing left to do,” Gideon muttered as he walked them toward the large bed with deep purple sheets, pillows, and blankets.
“What’s that?” she asked, but he could tell she already knew.
“We gotta make love in every single room in this house. I say we start here.”
“Here is a good start.” She moaned when he placed her on the bed and sucked on her neck. At the same time, he pulled her dress up and panties down.

Her brows rose. “You do?”
He nodded before he begrudgingly got out of bed again and held his hand out to her. If he had it his way, they would stay there for the rest of their lives, but he had one more thing to put a smile on her face for the day.
Curiously, Glimmer took his hand without question. He loved that she was willing to follow him anywhere. He felt like the luckiest man alive.
