Chapter 14

Stefan

“Ahh, yeah,” I moaned. “Fuck, yes. Chesca,” I said with a grunt as I spilled myself into her warm wetness. Fuck, she felt so good.

I thrust inside for another moment or two before pulling out and collapsing on the bed.

Two hands touched me while I tried to catch my breath. But those two hands belonged to different women. I opened my eyes to see Giselle and Eve staring at me with sad, beautiful smiles.

Fuck.

I'd said her name.

Again.

I'd done that a couple of times last night. At least. Possibly more.

Eve and Giselle hadn't said anything since then. But I could tell from the way they looked at me—and each other—that someone was about to say something.

Fuck.

“You miss her,” Eve said, and lay her head on my shoulder. “I'm sorry things didn't work out for you guys. I really liked Francesca.” She played with my chest hair and sighed.

“Me, too. Even though she took a strip off me.” Giselle laughed softly and snuggled up on my other side. “I even made her an outfit or two.”

Eve kissed my chest. “I bet the guys will find her someday. Then you can at least have some kind of closure.”

I shut my eyes and cleared my throat. A minute ago, I'd felt better than I had in months. These women had sucked and fucked my brains out all night long with very little rest in between.

I hadn't realized how much I'd needed that—needed them until after my first orgasm. They'd not only helped clear my stress and frustration but also my mind. I hadn't thought this clearly for quite a long time.

If Francesca had wanted to be with me—she would have stayed. Nick was right.

And that pissed me right the hell off.

None of this meant I could get the woman out of my damn mind, though. I still wanted her. Even if she'd been more than happy to throw me away like yesterday's garbage.

I'd forced Francesca to take care of me. Hiding in her shitty brown car had been the best thing I could come up with at the time. I needed to find a way to be near her. I hadn't been ready to let her go.

And I knew if I had more time with her that I'd convince her she was mine.

Because she was.

Francesca was fucking mine.

She'd taken care of me. Risking her livelihood. And her time. She'd worked overtime and still come home to look after my sorry ass every day.

She’d stolen from her hospital for me. To make me well again.

Yeah.

She'd done all that—and then left me in the middle of the night with a shitty fuckin' note.

No explanation at all.

Obviously, she didn't share the same feelings I had for her.

Which really fuckin' baffled my mind. I’d made her come multiple times. She felt safe around me.

I could tell that.

A virgin doesn't open up like that otherwise.

None of this mattered. And I had to stop thinking about it.

About her.

I had to get Francesca out of my goddamn mind.

Which obviously wasn't working. And that was verified a minute ago when I was coming inside of Eve—while shouting Francesca's name.

“Or maybe,” Eve said, drawing circles on my chest with her finger. “You guys will get back together?” She blinked up at me with hope in her eyes. Hope that had already fled my own heart.

I kissed her forehead and wrapped my arm around her. “I think your husband's right. If she wanted to be here, she would be here.” I stared up at the ceiling and really tried to come to grips with what I'd just said. Because it was true.

No matter how much I didn't want it to be.

Eve shrugged and snuggled further into my side. “Nick's not always right, you know. None of us can say for sure why Francesca left. Maybe she was scared. Or she had to do something important. Anyway,” she kissed my neck, “we don't know for sure.”

Giselle raised her hand and brushed Eve's hair back. “You're such a romantic. That's why I love you.” They shared a quick kiss and then moved up a bit to take turns kissing me, too.

“Whatever happens, you'll always have us,” Giselle muttered against my lips right before she climbed on top of me.

And then I let her ride me as I played with her tits.

All the while—I tried to get Francesca out of my mind.

And failed.
