4. Chapter Four
Chapter Four
Wrenley
His mouth is relentless. Reaper, Liam, feasts on me like he’s starving, like I’m the first taste of warmth he’s ever had.
The way his tongue moves, slow and firm, then fast and precise, drives the breath from my lungs.
When I moan, it spurs him on, his grip on my thighs tightening as if anchoring himself to the moment.
Then, God, his fingers join in. One curls inside me just right, brushing against that spot that sends sparks ricocheting up my spine.
His pace never falters, coaxing the tension in me tighter and tighter until I snap, crying out his name like a prayer.
My hips jerk against his face, and he groans low in his throat, my pleasure is his reward.
When he finally lifts his head, his mouth is slick with the evidence of what he just did to me, and he doesn’t wipe it away.
He wears it like a mark. Like I branded him.
He crawls up my body, pressing me into the mattress in the best way, and settles at my entrance.
The blunt piercing nudges me, and I gasp, needing more.
“Tell me what you want,” he says, voice rough and commanding, but gentle.
“All of you,” I whisper, lifting my hips to meet him. “Now.”
His body sinks into me inch by glorious inch, filling me in a way that makes my eyes roll back.
He stretches me perfectly, stealing the breath from my lungs as he bottoms out.
My hands clutch at his shoulders, nails digging in, and he doesn’t stop me.
He moves slowly at first, savoring it, and it’s almost too much. Almost.
One of his hands snakes around my throat, not tight, just there, grounding me.
“Eyes on me, baby,” he murmurs. “You’re so beautiful, taking everything I give you.”
The sound I make is almost a sob. My body rises to meet his with every stroke, hips moving without restraint, chasing that high again, that beautiful breaking point.
I’m close. So close. Then he pulls out.
A whimper leaves my lips before I can stop it, but I don’t have time to complain. He flips me onto my stomach in one fluid motion, gripping my hips and dragging them back until I’m on my knees. Then he’s inside me again, all at once, hard and deep, stealing every coherent thought from my mind.
I cry out, bracing myself against the bed as he sets a ruthless rhythm, his hips slamming into mine with perfect, punishing precision. A fist tangles in my hair, pulling firm but not cruel, guiding me back against him. I arch into it, desperate and undone.
Then he pulls me even higher until my back is flush against his chest, one hand still in my hair, the other slipping around to press tight circles over my clit.
“Cum for me,” he growls, right in my ear.
I shatter around him, crying out his name as the pleasure burns through me like wildfire. My whole body shakes with it, legs barely holding me up, and his rhythm stutters as he follows me over the edge with a guttural sound that shakes the air between us.
He stays buried in me for a moment, forehead pressed between my shoulder blades, both of us panting like we’ve just survived something. Maybe we have.
His skin is warm beneath my cheek, rising and falling with every slow breath. I trace lazy circles over his chest, the steady thump of his heart grounding me in a way I didn’t know I needed. We haven’t said anything in a while, haven’t needed to. Our bodies did all the confessing for us.
Still, I break the silence, my voice low and a little hoarse. “So… will we always end up ruining each other in the best way possible?”
His laugh rumbles under my ear, and I feel it more than I hear it. “Only on nights that end in mutual destruction,” he teases.
I grin, eyes drifting shut. “Then I hope we destroy each other a lot.”
He shifts, just enough to tighten his arm around me. “I’ve wanted this for so long, Little Warrior. You have no idea.”
“You should’ve said something,” I murmur, tilting my face up toward him.
“I did. With my tongue.”
A surprised laugh bursts out of me, muffled by his chest. “You’re such an idiot.”
“An idiot who loves you.”
That softens me completely. I press a kiss just over his heart. “You’re still an idiot.”
His fingers stroke my back in slow, absentminded lines. “Margot is going to have things to say when she sees you tomorrow.”
“Why? Am I glowing with post-orgasmic bliss?”
“Absolutely. And walking funny.”
“Liam!”
He chuckles again, and I hide my face in his chest, equal parts mortified and amused.
The silence stretches again, comfortable and full. Eventually, his breathing evens out, mine follows. Sleep tugs at me like a tide, warm and content. I don’t fight it.
The mattress dips, a shift I feel before I even open my eyes. Muscles I didn’t know could be sore stretch deliciously as I roll onto my back, groaning quietly. Every ache is a memory from last night.
My lips tug into a sleepy smile. “Where are you going?” I mumble, eyes still closed.
His voice is rough and quiet. “Starting coffee.”
I crack one eye open. He’s standing at the edge of the bed, joggers low on his hips, hair a mess, tattoos deliciously on display. My heart does a weird little stutter.
“You’re beautiful,” I mutter.
He huffs a soft laugh. “I’m not the one glowing, remember?”
I giggle and stretch again, shameless. “Okay, I’m going to shower. I’ll meet you downstairs.”
He kneels on the bed, leaning in until his mouth brushes mine in a kiss that’s deep and unhurried, full of everything he didn’t say last night.
When he finally pulls back, his lips hover over mine. “Don’t take too long.”
“I won’t,” I whisper.
He gives me one last look before straightening up and heading for the door. Even with the soreness in my thighs and the hunger in my stomach, all I can think about is how quickly I can get through that shower to be next to him again.
The hot water hits my back in perfect cascading streams, steam curling around me like a lazy lover. My eyes are closed, head tilted up into the spray, a soft smile tugging at my lips as the ache between my thighs throbs in the most satisfying way.
Last night was…
Nope. Thinking about it too hard will have me crawling back into bed instead of facing the day. I lather shampoo into my hair, humming softly, when the shower door suddenly whips open.
“Jesus Christ!” I let out a sharp scream, slipping just slightly before catching myself on the tile wall. “Margot!”
She stands in the doorway, beaming like she just won the lottery. “Morning, sunshine.”
“Were you…. you were waiting down the hall for me to get in here, weren’t you?” I blink water out of my eyes, baffled.
Margot doesn’t even pretend to be ashamed. “Well… basically yeah.”
“You are a menace.”
“And you are glowing, bitch. Now dish.”
I groan, shielding my face with one hand. “There‘s no comparing, remember?”
She places a hand over her heart like I’ve insulted her honor. “Excuse me, I am not asking you to compare. I’m asking for details.”
I sigh, laughing despite myself. “Fine. What do you want to know so you can stop lurking like a sex-starved stalker and let me shower in peace?”
Margot wiggles her brows. “First—how was the piercing?”
I can’t help the grin that slides across my face. “Functionally…. Artistic.”
Her mouth drops open and then breaks into a devious grin. “Oh hell yes.”
I turn my back to her, rinsing the shampoo from my hair. “And before you ask, he was more dominating than I thought he’d be.”
“Wait, really?”
“Usually it's me telling him what to do, but not last night. He flipped it on me. It was…” I pause, my breath hitching a little at the memory, “intense. Amazing.”
Margot squeals like a teenage girl at a boy band concert. “YAY! That’s what I wanted to hear. Okay, okay, I’ll leave you alone. Meet you downstairs.”
“Thank God,” I mutter as she backs out, still grinning. Just before the door shuts, she pops her head back in.
“And Wren?”
I raise an eyebrow.
“You’re going to need more electrolytes now that you have two men. Just trust me.”
Then she’s gone, laughing all the way down the hall while I bang my head softly against the wall with a smile I can’t fight if I tried.
