Chapter 12
KIERNAN
E verything with Charlie was different, but in the very best way. In a way even my imagination couldn’t have anticipated.
I’d never been curious about tasting a guy’s cock before, but now?
Now I wanted to suck Charlie’s dick. And swallow his load.
One step at a time.
More than anything, I wanted my dick in his arse. If that’s something he wanted too.
But maybe fucking would have to wait for another day.
I wondered if this tiny bunk was strong enough for the two of us and the kind of sex I was now envisioning.
We’d probably end up destroying it, and injuring ourselves in the process, and I doubt Charlie wanted to explain to his boss (or mine) why the room was damaged, and we were in need of time off.
When I bent down to lick him again, Charlie came in a wanton rush all over his stomach, my hand, his cock. Then I slowly, reluctantly, slipped my finger out of his arse. I imagined what my dick would feel like in his hole and my own orgasm threatened to unleash.
Lowering my head, I licked at the trail of salty cum on his abs, feeling the quiver of his stomach muscles and relishing the taste that was all Charlie.
Then I crawled up his body, leaning on my forearms so I didn’t crush him with my weight.
Our lips met, hungry, insatiable. I couldn’t get enough kisses.
I couldn’t get enough of Charlie.
My hips rocked against his, and he gripped my arse, urging me on.
“Next time, I want your cock inside me,” he groaned, echoing my thoughts. “You’re going to fuck me, long and hard. Until I scream your name.”
“Yes!” I panted, pumping my hips faster and faster.
My cock slid over his slick abs, and the pleasure snapped through my body.
“I’m almost… there,” I moaned out.
Then Charlie slid his finger over my arsehole, teasing my pucker, my climax racing to the finish line.
“Oh God, Charlie!” I groaned out as I came in a wicked rush.
Every cell in my body was on fire, the pleasure consuming me.
My body jerked as I unloaded my cum all over his stomach.
“That was so fucking hot.”
I was panting so hard I could barely get the words out and collapsed on top of him. In a sweaty, sticky mess.
He grunted when our bodies made contact and then his fingers slid up my back to hold me tight.
I never wanted to leave this tiny, cramped bed. Ever.
“I need a minute,” I explained, too fucked out to move.
“I’m good,” Charlie replied and squeezed me tighter, wrapping his legs around me. “You take all the time you need.”
“I don’t think I can do anything today but lie in bed and recuperate from my orgasms.”
“I love that idea but unfortunately, duty calls. For you, too.”
I groaned in protest and tried to ease my weight back, but Charlie would have none of it. His possessiveness made me smile.
“We still have another hour,” I whispered and turned my head to seek his mouth.
Charlie’s lips were swollen and red. From my kisses. I’d never seen anything sexier in my life.
“The shower’s calling again.”
“In a bit.” I leaned in to kiss him. “I want to lie here for a bit.”
As I stared into Charlie’s blue eyes, I wondered how I was going to keep my promise to him.
How would I ever be able to go back to being friends when our time together was done?
I already knew that I was starting to fall for him, and I was pretty sure that by the end of this trip, I would be in so deep, I’d never find a way out.
And I didn’t foresee any scenario where I would come out of this unscathed. Now, I was used to cuts and bruises, but those always healed in time.
My heart, on the other hand…
But Charlie was worth the risk.
And I did have two weeks. A limited time to figure out a way to show him that we could be more than fuck friends. That falling in love didn’t need to be heartache and pain, it could be this, right here. The best of friends and lovers.
“What are you thinking?” he asked me, peppering my face with whisper-soft kisses.
The gesture was tender, and I don’t think he realized how telling it was. Or maybe that was wishful thinking on my part.
“I’m thinking that two weeks is not going to be nearly enough time to spend with you.”
Charlie jolted, but thankfully he didn’t let go of me.
“I’m that good, eh?” he teased me, pinching my arse.
I played along with his lighter tone, nipping his neck in retaliation.
Charlie was apprehensive when it came to relationships. But I was going to show him that he—and his heart—would be safe in my hands.
I might be scarred but I held strong.
This wasn’t college and I wasn’t his straight roommate. Okay, I was new to being with a guy, but I wasn’t freaked about what we’d done (were doing), the total opposite. I finally felt like myself.
And I was falling in love for the first time in my life. I wasn’t going to hide who I was or who I wanted.
I was gonna fight for this. For us.
Determination lit inside me. And once that fire sparked, look out.
The Irish Tiger was alive and well.
I kissed my way up over his stubbled jaw and back to those sinful lips. Then I took his mouth in a fierce kiss. I made it clear, in the only way I could right now, that he was the only thing I wanted.
When I finally let him come up for air, he looked at me with a question in his eyes.
“Kiernan?”
I was about to tell him what I was feeling but my phone rang, startling both of us.
It was Korry. Video calling me.
Wiping my hands on the sheet, I reached over to tap decline but I hit the wrong button because the next thing I knew, Korry’s face popped up on screen.
Which meant, I was on his. Or rather, we were…
“Special K!” Korry yelled out. “Oh feck, who’s that lying underneath you?”
My face was on fire. “I’ll call you later.”
Then, I hit end.
“Sorry,” I mumbled an apology to Charlie. “I mean, I’m not sorry about this, you and me. The total opposite. Sorry about my brother, because, yeah, awkward. The teasing is only gonna get worse.”
“Teasing?”
“I may have mentioned you a time or two since we met. Or, you know, every day.”
“Really? You told him about me?”
I nodded and he kissed me.
“Special K?” Charlie asked, chuckling.
“He’s ridiculous.”
“And you’re fucking adorable.”
“Me?”
My phone rang again.
“Pain in my arse,” I muttered.
“I can hop in the shower and give you privacy?” Charlie offered.
I shook my head. “We still have forty-five minutes left to snuggle.”
And I wasn’t going to waste a single second.
Charlie kissed me soundly. “You saying the word ‘snuggle’ makes me want to devour you.”
My flush deepened if that were possible.
I went to kiss Charlie back, but the phone kept ringing.
“Something tells me he’s gonna keep calling you until you answer.”
With a sigh and a groan, I rolled off Charlie, so we were now lying on our sides, face to face.
I picked up my phone and tapped accept. “What’s so urgent that you’re calling me at seven in the morning?”
“Ah feck, sorry. I keep forgetting that you’re in the warm and sunny Caribbean and I’m back here at home, freezing my damn balls off.”
“Wow, you’re in the Christmas spirit. Not.”
“Speaking of the holidays and good times, are you having fun down south?”
“It’s been good. A different kind of Christmas experience, but I like it.”
“What’s that thing on your face?” he asked me.
Oh Jesus, please tell me it’s not cum.
“Is that a smile? That’s a Christmas miracle right there,” Korry teased.
I gave him a choice finger in return.
“Was that Charlie?” Korry announced loudly. “Nice to finally meet ya! Kiernan talks about you all the time.”
I shook my head. “Oh God.”
Charlie leaned over and waved at the screen. “Nice to meet you too, Korry. Wow, you really are twins. Except, you’ve got short hair. And a piercing in your eyebrow. And your nose is different.”
“My nose hasn’t been broken,” Korry quipped with a wink. “I’m better looking, right?”
“Nope.”
Charlie grinned at me, and I kissed his temple.
“Back to my original question, why are you calling so early? Everything okay?” I asked.
“I got off the phone with Ma. She’s got another treatment scheduled after the holidays, but she wants to cancel. She keeps going on about the cost.”
“Do not let her cancel, Kor. It’s working. You took care of the last bill and I have the next one covered.”
“You know Ma, she’s so proud and she feels badly. Maybe give her a ring?”
“As soon as we hang up, I’m on it.”
“Thanks, Kier. And sorry for interrupting your morning.”
His grin told me he was anything but.
“No worries.”
“It was nice to finally meet you, Charlie. I hope we meet again soon.”
“You as well! And hey, I’ve got some time off in the spring so who knows? How’s Dublin in April?”
Was Charlie saying what I hoped he was saying?
“Cloudy and rainy,” Korry replied. “But the company and the whiskey can’t be beat.”
“Sold.”
“I’ll text you later, Kor. Love you.”
Korry nodded. “Love you, Special K.”
I tapped end and placed my phone down beside me.
“What’s going on with your mom?” Charlie asked as he threw one leg over my hip. I pulled him in tightly.
“Her throat cancer is back,” I whispered against the heated skin of his shoulder, barely able to speak over the lump in my throat.
I’d told Charlie about my mum’s esophageal cancer diagnosis last year and the chemo and radiation. It seemed to work for a time, until it didn’t. Another tumor appeared and traditional treatment wasn’t working.
“Oh, Kier, I’m so sorry.”
Charlie rubbed soothing circles on my back.
“Her doctor suggested this experimental treatment, but it’s not covered under our healthcare plan. She’s used up her savings, so now me and Korry have been paying the bill. So far, it’s working, the tumor is shrinking. But she’s upset that we’re covering her debt.”
Charlie’s hand moved up to cup the back of my neck. “She raised you and Kor all on her own, like my mom. And single parents are tough as fuck because they’re used to being independent. Not relying on anyone for anything. She’s proud.”
“But we’re her sons. We owe her everything.”
“Then remind her that it’s okay for her to lean on you for a change.”
“Thank you. For listening.”
“No need to thank me. I’m always here for you.”
I nodded and kissed him one last time before we separated.
“You give her a call. I’m gonna hop in the shower.”
Charlie slipped out of our bunk, and I finally had room to breathe.
Funny thing was, I was still completely breathless.
