Chapter 6

Janice groaned softly. Her body felt as though she’d been battered and bruised. There was something heavy on top of her and her bed didn’t feel right.

Blinking her eyes open, she found herself in an unfamiliar vehicle with a handsome, unconscious man on top of her. . . Inside of her. . .

She screamed.

The man startled awake shouting, “What? What’s wrong?”

She could feel his worry, his alarm. He was ready to fight someone if necessary, even if he was still only half awake, it wouldn’t take much to—

Wait. . .

They both looked down, horror curling up her spine as she felt the warm liquid drip slowly from her most private regions.

Oh god. . .!

Confusion mixed into her alarm. Wait, what was happening here? This was perfectly normal.

No, this was terrible! Horrible! She didn’t know much about much, but she knew that this was how you got pregnant!

This wasn’t how you got pregnant. She shook her head. That only happened without birth control.

What the fuck was birth control?!

Oh. . . Shit. . .

They stared at each other for several long moments before opening their mouths and saying at the same time, “We forgot to break the cycle. . .” They glanced at the little clock in the car wall. “And we’re late!”

Closing their eyes they took a deep breath, pulled the lazily cycling energy from between them and back into her.

Janice took a deep breath, feeling as though she were able to breathe better all of a sudden. Like she wasn’t sharing her breath in two places and like her mind was notably hers once again. . .

She looked at Warren, remembering a bit hazily many of the pleasurable things he’d done with his mouth and hands before the pain and then the blurry whirlwind that had resulted in them being unconscious as he filled her with his. . . She shivered lightly at the thought, seed. . .

Warren smiled comfortingly at her. “It’s alright. My uncle had a cupboard installed and enchanted to stay full of birth control, ointment and soothing solution.”

Janice frowned at the man’s absurdity.

He breathed a laugh, his smile growing. “I’m saying I’ll clean you up and treat that shoulder of yours before I give you a morning after and drop you off at your brother’s job.” He cast a glance at the clock and she shifted up onto her elbows. “It is six after all. We need to get you back.”

Turning to the wall behind him, he pressed a side wall panel in the shelf that came out a bit with a large circle in the top to hold a large cup. . . or maybe a wine bottle. . . of which she could definitely go for at least a glass. . . At least.

The panel flipped up and he pressed another, then he was retrieving a washcloth, hand towel, and a glass bottle with a fancy diamond-shaped stopper, corked in the top.

“I’ll be honest.” He spoke conversationally as she watched him lay the soft hand towel over her thigh before he uncorked the glass bottle and set the diamond stopper on the top of the shelf.

“I don’t know how he managed to get this car done or why he chose to make some of the modifications,” The scent of chamomile and lavender filled the car as he poured fluid onto the wash cloth before situating himself between her legs and bending to wipe her clean in the darkness.

The washcloth was cool and immediately spread a sense of calm that stilled the still whirling power in her body, settling her and making her aware of a slight pain in her left shoulder and nether regions.

“But damn if they weren’t making my life convenient right now. ”

Janice jumped a bit, surprised by the flutteringly sharp sensations that rushed through her as he wiped gently over the over-sensitive bud that had been the center of his attention for so long earlier in the night.

He breathed a soft smile, glancing up at her as he continued.

“Don’t worry. I’m not going to do anything to you.

I’m just going to clean you up and apply some ointment down here.

” He turned his attention back to his work, soothing pleasant caresses over her abused lower regions.

When he got to her entrance she tensed, flinching back at the sudden slice of pain.

And he stopped, reaching up to rub gentle circles over her stomach.

She felt congested and full and swollen.

Like he was stuck, still inside of her and her organs refused to move back to their respective places until they were sure he was gone.

“You’re okay. That’s why I need to clean you up, and put ointment down here.

Just bare with it a little longer. I’m almost done. ”

Janice bit her lip. Her shoulder burned and her downstairs felt as if the man had taken a sledgehammer to it.

But the ever gentle touch of the chamomile-lavender liquid soothed her pain until she had to drop back on her back, taking weight off her ailing shoulder.

He attempted a gentle push of the washcloth into her and when she hissed and kicked at him, he laughed but backed off.

“Got it, got it. I’ll leave it alone for now.” He folded the washcloth and she dropped her head back down as he poured a bit more of the polite smelling liquid onto the cloth before giving her a few more sweeping wipes. “Can I take it, you don’t have any of this stuff at home?”

“No. . .” Her response was soft, quiet, but her throat was raw and her voice was hoarse. “I don’t even know what it is.”

“Then I’ll just wipe your whole body down so you don’t have to take a shower later.

It’ll help with any aches and pains you have, but if you wash it off, it won’t do anything.

” He set the bottle on the shelf, grabbed another washcloth and hand towel and a small cylinder glass container with a creamy colored substance inside.

He set everything aside except the hand towel he’d grabbed and proceeded to pat her dry.

It didn’t hurt now, but it was nice to be dry.

“I’d rather you not hurt while you’re at work today.

. .” He wrapped the wet washcloth in the hand towel and set them aside— so he wouldn’t mix them up, she supposed— then grabbed up the jar and twisted it open.

“Tell me. Where is it your brother works? Is it near here?”

A soft eucalyptus and wild berry scent mixed with the chamomile and lavender as she frowned. She didn’t want to tell him. The thought made her uncomfortable and made anxiety peek at her nosily.

She heard the brief inhale, but missed the flaring of his nose by the time her eyes found him.

“I’m just asking so that I can drop you off.

You may not remember this, but I did promise to take you to your brother after we finished here and I’d feel better if I knew you weren’t just walking around out there.

This is a big city. Not a little country town where everyone knows one another.

I don’t want you running into any dangerous men while walking. ”

She had to scoff at that, but the feeling didn’t feel right with her congested stomach and rearranged organs. “More dangerous than you?” She scoffed again and rubbed uncomfortably at her stomach. “I doubt it.”

He breathed a laugh but muttered under his breath as he scooped some of the creamy stuff onto his fingers and bent between her legs to spread a thin layer over her battle damaged flesh, “You’d be surprised.

” When he sat up straight he rolled his shoulders back and she could hear the little popping sounds of his joints.

In a normal voice he said, “There are dozens of people out there without my strong moral compass. I’d hate to let you go and find out I dropped you into another man’s lap for him to hurt you. ”

Janice frowned. She wanted to scoff, laugh him off.

. . but she’d always garnered way more attention from guys than she wanted.

. . and if they swung her way, she’d even caught the rare attention of a girl here and there.

It was horrible. She hated to admit it, but she didn’t doubt that some strange man could over power her in her current state.

She definitely wouldn’t say she was in fighting shape or anything.

“I also promised I’d bring you coffee and something sweet to munch on later today while you’re at work.

” He grinned as he set the lid back on the ointment jar and placed it on the shelf.

He grabbed the second washcloth and draped it over her newly cleaned and cared for lower region.

“So if you could tell me where you work as well, I’d be ever so grateful. ”

He held out his hands to her and she hesitated a moment before taking them. She wasn’t sure if she trusted him now, but had the vague recollection of trusting him insurmountably before they. . . What? Fell asleep? Passed out?

Were they even going to talk about the bout of unconsciousness that followed them actually having sex?

“Look, we can keep this professional if that’s what you want.

” He smiled kindly, pulling her to sitting before he wrapped his hands around her back, unzipped her dress and then pulled it over her head.

Locked in his unwavering gaze, she automatically lifted her arms, allowing him to strip her naked.

“For now, we can just share important things, like our names and where we and your brother work. The kind of coffee you like and your favorite snack to go with it. Mine’s is Vanilla-Hazelnut and I love pairing it with a warm icing slathered cinnamon roll.

” He made an exaggerated face of pleasure before swiping his tongue over his lips and humming, “Mmm, Delicious.”

The act brought up a very distinct memory of the man coming up from between her legs and licking a similar creamy substance from his mouth.

The sentiment had been the same. . . but not the feeling he’d put behind it.

She finally broke eye contact, looking away from him as an embarrassing heat filled her cheeks.
