Track Two

Daniela finds your profile without trying too hard.

It's public. That makes sense. Nothing hidden, nothing flashy either. Just enough to let people see what you're doing without inviting them in.

She scrolls while sitting on the floor of the living room, legs crossed. The others half-paying attention to whatever's on TV.

"Guys," Megan says suddenly, phone in hand, "did you know that producer Y/N was at the party last night?"

Daniela's thumb stills for half a second.

"No way," Lara says. "That producer who everyone's been working with now? I heard she isn't really seen at events that much"

"Yeah," Megan continues. "Apparently they worked on a couple projects I like. I didn't even realize they'd be there. "

Daniela keeps her eyes on her screen.

"Oh," she says lightly. "I saw them."

Megan looks over. "You talked to them?"

Daniela shrugs, casual. "A little."

They don't push, not expecting much knowing it was probably their first time meeting each other.

She doesn't mention how you listened. Or how you didn't ask for her number. Or how the silence between you felt deliberate instead of awkward.

She scrolls again.

Your posts aren't loud. Studio shots. A video of a track looping, unfinished. A late-night city photo with no caption. Nothing that asks for attention. Everything that feels intentional.

One specifically gaining her attention. Giving her an idea.

Get in the studio with them...

But how would she. She just met you, and isn't sure that anyone she may know, may have some contact with you.

"You think they're cool?" Megan asks.

Daniela nods, still not looking up. "Yeah. They seem... focused."

That's all she offers.

She doesn't tell them she remembers the way you listened. Or that the way you said her name, playing softly through her head sounds like the kind of thing that lingers longer than it should.

A few minutes later, she taps Follow.

No announcement. No message.

Just a quiet decision.

Across the city, your phone lights up with her name.

You don't react right away.

But you notice.

"Hm."

You're in the studio like usual. Thinking of some beats for a new artist who reached out.

You didn't mind, you liked helping out especially with something you're so passionate and dedicated to.

But the notification distracts you. You start looking through her profile. Different post...all catching your attention. Just as you're about to press follow you hesitate, thinking it over.

"How did she find my profile so fast"

"We had one conversation, I mean it was cool but I didn't think too much about it to the point she would follow me"

But then you realize, it's just a follow. Stop overthinking it, she could possibly just wanna be mutuals and nothing could go wrong with that. Just a follow. Right?

Then come the walls. "Focus on yourself and your career. You left without her socials or number for a reason...Don't get distracted."

So you follow her, knowing your intentions from this point on. But in the back of your mind you wonder if she would do more than just follow.

Daniela's heart flutters a little.

She thinks, "That was quicker than expected". But let me not think toomuch into it. It'sjust a follow back. Right?

Okay but how to get into thestudio with them. I could probably ask them for help and say it's for the group. Anything to get to know more.
